I can’t tell if they change the voice actor or if the voice actor just sounds a little more like his role as Dewey duck from the new ducktails. And judging by the trailer they may have changed sonics personality to fit more with the change in voice because he sounds a lot more like his comic book iteration.

I imagine they would save super sonic until a potential sequel only because seeing as how this is essentially Sonic 1 in the movie world, Super Sonic didn't appear until Sonic 2 in the game world. And, granted, its not exactly a movie entirely based on the game I still get a Sonic 1 vibe or even a prequel vibe since Robotnik isn't initially in Sonic's world (I'm starting to think I know how he ended up in Sonic's world) or fat and completely mad with power. I suspect that the end of the movie might show a more in-depth look into Green Hill Zone and ever so slightly hint at a chaos emerald by the last few min. Though it is possible they could do some other method of transformation other than the 7 emeralds but those gems are as iconic to the Sonic world as Sonic himself (could also use them to intro Knuckles down the road)
