Kannada industry wil never progress till d boss yash boss kiccha boss fans change their attitude . Stop idolising these people. They are just actors. Let us promote good content good stories. Stop following their foot steps. Exceptions like appu we must follow no doubt but others are not worth being idols for our personal growth. Enjoy their movies their acting and forget it there. Raj b shetty nd rakshit shetty let us appreciate how deep they get into the process of creating a masterpiece their dedication and ability to think out of the box.we can use this in any field we work in. Let's again not idolising them but learn how to become so good with our own craft

As Rakshit told, his death feels like personal loss to everyone, its not because he was a star but the humility with which he carried himself. I wasn't his fan nor liked all his movies, always appreciated for his experimentation but never thought he had such an impact on us, until he passed away.

Home work he has done here is only Listing down Questions to ask in interview, that everyone does and nothing special in that.
But what makes the difference is knowledge on film making and its process. So when he get answer to his question how he gonna reply with right question that what matters. The way he speaks and he takes interview is beautiful to watch

Raj b Shetty is way more intelligent than what he actually looks.
That's why the phrase "Don't judge things based on thier looks" becomes very prevalent.
Ondu motteya kathe and avane srimannarayana were the two films that completely changed my perspective on kannada cinema... A new wave has started in kannada cinema with these guys at the helm

Upendra is one of India's underrated and underappreciated director... His movies were way way ahead of its time.

The internet analogy of Rakshith was spot on at 4:56. In Advaita School of Vedanta there is a concept called Chidabhasa which is the Sanskrit term which means the abhasa or reflection of Brahman, the Universal Self, on or through the mind; ordinarily this term is used to denote the reflected Universal Self in the Jiva, the Individual Self. This is similar to what Rakshit Shetty spoke.
Except that he used the word Īsvara instead of Brahman. :)

I feel this is the best movie interview I have seen. Raj Shetty gave too good insights into story making and character development. His knowledge about movies is definitely going to benefit Kannada cinema. Kudos.
One of the best interviews I’ve even seen. Raj Shetty might be one of the most mature people I’ve heard speak before this. A fan from now till eternity. Their conceptualisation of god , way of seeing things , an ode to self respect, The way they see business, just opens your eyes . Kairam Vashi sir thanks for this

Wow glad to see these two, got introduced to kannada industry through Ondhu mottaya kadha, absolutely loved it then watched kirik party and fell in love with it and finally watched kgf and from then there was no looking back. An industry with such a potential, excitedly waiting for awesome crafts in kannada ❤️
The hour long interview with Baradwaj Rangan was all about what the movie was trying to tell, what the writer, music director, DOP was trying to convey with each scene and why every little bit of it is important to the structure of the movie. This one is more about Raj B's writing process, what goes into writing, how to approach characters and the narrative and building a movie. Two completely different interviews. These give and takes are mostly discussions about crafting a movie and not at all an opening to feed the vanity of the maker which is what you get in most interviews. Incredible work from all parties. Cheers.

Seen many interviews of Raj B shetty, this is one of the best. Questions makes a interview best.. all the other interviews had same question, same theme. This one is different.

This movie is an example of what happens when a superb script is combined with passionate artists. From a simpleton in Ondu Motteya Kathe to violent thug in GGVV, Raj Shetty's transformation is fabulous without any bodybuilding tricks or makeup. Same for Rishabh Shetty. And also those behind the scene videos, interviews give an insight about the brilliant filmmaking culture these guys are developing. They are taking the Kannada movie industry to the higher notch. All they need is good wide theatrical release, public support.
In the industry, that too in this era, where "commercial" directors openly threaten to beat up critics for trashing their "kharabu" movies, these people ( Rakshith, Rishabh, Raj, Achyut Kumar, etc) are a breeze fresh air since 8-10 years. More strength to them. 👍
This interview is a testimony to their wisdom. There hardly any interesting talks made by so called stars of KFI. The last time I was mesmerized and impressed by a Kannada star's interview, it was Puneeth Rajkumar. 😀

Thanks for doing research and homework . .made it all the more pleasing to listen..kannada film industry will reach heights if such though process goes into character construction and film making is not done just mindlessly due to which industry saw such downfall in the last decade or so.. there is so much great artist (like very late in recognizing sanchari Vijay sir) that should be made use of ...Wish all kannada film makers to strive extra to make better films to bring back the industry to its previous glory during raj kumar, shankar nag .. etc years...

Raj, Rakshith , Rishab - All 3 of them come from the same region, but 3 different personalities, 3 different writer-director-actors, they are giving a totally different direction to the industry...
Rakshith - brings in the Hollywoodish flavor to a Kannada movie ( Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill vibes in Ulidavaru Kandanthe, the curry western, Pirates of the Caribbean flavour in ASN )
[ Ulidavaru Kandanthe is my personal favorite movie , Missing him as a lyricist for 5 years now, hope he quenches the thirst in upcoming Richard Anthony ]
Rishab - stays closest to the soil, exploring the culture in and around, and the closest depiction of it possible.. ( examples found in Not much known Ricky, Kirik Party and Sarkari HPSK, and further excited for Kāntāra, Rudraprayāga)

Raj - The least I know (He has acted in many films) but there's only 1 film he has made till now, other is releasing soon, but I love his thinking towards life and the way he explains certain aspects.. A more grounded and lively personality... His 2 films have been based in Mangalore itself, exciting for GGVV and his future projects..

Genuinely , I hadn't watched kannada movies from a long time and on the recommendation of my cousins I went in thinking some gangsta movie were hero is destined to be hero and some music , fights , dance , some romance in middle etc etc but my god I was blown away by this artistic masterpiece & via this interview my respect to both the individuals has doubled 🙂✨🙌
