Until something comes along that can beat it, the Holosun 507c ACSS is my S tier optic. The glass, the reticle, the solar backup are all perfect for me.
The Olight Osight has an interesting concept, they just need to keep improving on it.
The ZeroTech is an interesting concept, but it seems like the shape would be limiting.
Let’s be honest here, that Cylee box deserves an S Tier rating. 😂

Ove got the 507c w the classic circle and dot. Is the acss that much better? What do you like about it? I need to get another dot and am considering the acss reticle. I ha ent looked through one w it yet though. It seems odd to me for a dot, but it might be better for my astigmatism.

I didn’t like the 507c ACSS Vulcan, but I love the 507k ACSS. For my eyes the chevron on the 507c is blurry are too large. I prefer a standard 3 MOA dot with the large 250moa circle

This was a fun review to watch. It was great to see the different optics side by side. As I have and use many of the Holosuns you listed, I think your review was spot on. In this review format it is difficult to review how well a specific optic holds zero. That can only be evaluated overtime, but is important. Recently I purchased two budget Chinese red dots just to see whats up. First was a Cyelee that is mounted on a 9mm and then a CVLIFE that was on a 22. The Cyelee holds zero well. For $109 bucks and the purpose it serves on a training gun it will stay where it is. The CVLIFE could not hold zero if zero had a handle. That thing lasted less than two weeks before it was sent back.

Glad you all reviewed the Trae 28. That’s on my list to get. Would appreciate if you all could review the shield AMS/ AMSc and the Meprolight MPO-S/MPO-F. I carry the MPO-S and it’s really solid for the price point imo.

fair list. I actually had the Cyelee (a few of them), holosun, and olight. I WANTED to like the olight.... but it wouldn't hold zero. that was a hard no for me. didn't bother exchanging it either. just returned to amazon. for $200... it's cheap yeah... but not so cheap that I'm willing to put up with shenanigans. Cyelee I really like. but not their Cat X pro. I like their basic wolf line ($100 ish)..... on test pistols (like p80 builds I'm testing out and range toys). and their Bull line ($200).... they hold zero and are nice overall. holosun ftw on carry ....

Saw a comment and it got deleted by moderators - wanted to touch on the notion that “they all made in same factory” in china. This is false. Kinda. China generally doesn’t have end-to-end manufacturing. The housing would be one company in one city. The emitter might have the laser in another company in another city. Glass. Battery compartment. So on. They then get assembled by multiple companies too.
They also have different QC. So it’s misleading to think or say “they all made in same company”. That’s not true.
It doesn’t make them better or worse. Just different.

Seems like it has some smart features. I don't love 6 moa though. It always seems smarter to get 3moa and then punch up the brightness if you want some hella huge dot. I'm concerned this optic sitting so far forward would cause feed issues. I've actually seen that quite a few times.
      I'll have to try one!

You should try to get your hands on the Cyelee SRO clones. Bull Pro, Bull X Pro and Ghost. There's definitely some fisheye, but I don't think it's terrible. Probably the most drop proof large window pistol dots on the market.

WTF does "S" mean?. AFAIK, No where in this presentation or description do you say what "S" means or represents in your Tier rankings. Does it stand for "Super Dooper?🤣".
It is above A, so it must be better than A logically. A to F rankings are self evident. Is it me? Did I miss something guys? Looks like I need a Holosun 509 ACSS(I prefer the ACSS reticle) and I will look for ur review, but prefer American, maybe a mini ACOG. I am subbing for this channel's uniformly superb review of FFP vs SFP LPVO. Stay safe, phil

I really want to like this channel - but the fanboi'ism over poor boy optics and poor boy gear choices - I just can't get behind. Gear choices matter. More expensive gear is just better. I am sorry - but a holosun or any other no name optic is not as durable or reliable as an aimpoint or trijicon -- if you can't save up the money for either -- save longer - and get a better optic -- yes -- they are better -- which is why the military and other units only procure them. If you can buy a staccato -- you can afford an optic worthy of the gun --
I can say I really tried to go the budget route in more than one area -- ear pro, optics, etc... and I broke every one of them -- holosun? yep -- didn't last one weekend training -- otoh -- my aimpoints and trijicon optics haven't failed me yet....

    • @ThinLineDefenseCo
      @ThinLineDefenseCo  18 днів тому

we test gear.... all of it
so yea we're probably not a good fit if you only want the top. I show that too but it's not my only priority.
It's okay if you don't stick around lol I have a feeling it won't work out.

@@ThinLineDefenseCo Thx for the reply -
I have yet to see a video review of any top tier gear that you produced but I will continue to look through your video feed. The few videos I watched your content just seems to be shilling for budget products - Its likely your product experience doesn't mimic mine at all -- I have had nothing but failures. So I haven't been very eager to give budget products another go.... otoh -
I am willing to watch and see what else you bring to the table - as I am always willing to see what others experiences are - as I know only - what I am exposing myself to - The day I see real world examples of budget products surpassing high tiered products in terms of durability and QC - then I may revisit them again -- but until then - I don't know how buying budget minded products 3,4, 5x times to replace them - is a better buy than buying products designed to withstand the most austere envirornments in the world.... I realize I am only a sample of one -- which is the only metric I can use to decide what to buy -- but I have managed to break every streamlight and holosun product I have purchased - within a few weeks or months under normal use. So for me - I can't see the value of value priced optics if they can't survive normal use in the civilian world.
      Have a great day.

However.... I do think you should take a look at Cyelee's other lines... their basic wolf line is $100 and is pretty much on part with the cat x pro.
