Extra 20 horses , plus at a guess I'd say Peugeot is lighter and most likely more aero efficient . At least make it Focus mp275 vs rcz270

in the lower gears the focus was possibly slightly faster or equal despite more weight and less power at min 1:34

I can appreciate the focus is a bit of a Handful for a good track car, I’m not disputing what would be the quickest .
I checked the weight as 1398kg for the RCz and 1450kg for the ST.,
So focus is already on the back foot , before you include being down on power ,all I’m saying is in the interest of a fair comparison at least give the focus ST equal power .

+MrHitman246 Yes and no on the Bmw engine. The princess engine was a co produced engine between Peugeot and Bmw. Peugeot have taken the engine much further than BMW has and they have fixed most of the problems that BMW still has to this day. The princess engine has been a bit of a bug bare for both companies. But you must remember that this particular variant is all Peugeot Motor Sports work. Peugeot have now let the motor sport division build all of the GTI and r variants in their line up! Just look at the 308 R Hybrid!!!

A fantastic engine. Just passed one at the side of road this morning and the peugeot in my town has 2 in being fixed. Don't get me wrong I have one myself and love it (not an R admittedly - that's 15 k more) but, these divas don't even like driving in a normal state of tune!

The RCZ-r has some very short ratios, looks frantic swapping gears every 4 seconds lol, watching the ST video is completely different.

no issues on rcz r 's engine and i speaking with a lot of owners... and the driving position is perfect ! stop to repeat what you read ... try yourself and you will see (;-)
+Daumex What annoys me with reviews is that they all complain about the steering wheel position.... Why don't they move the steering wheel to a better position??? I have never had a problem with sitting position ever in any of my pugs!

Manuelini bulman zor. 200 ve 270ler sadece manuel ve senin dediğin gibi bir kronik sorun yok 270lerde. Turbo basıncından dolayı motorda sorun çıkar diye düşünüyorsun herhalde, yok öyle bir şey. Bir sıkıntı olmuyor. Bakımlarını düzgün yaptırdığın takdirde bir sorun yaşamazsın. Fakat piyasada şu an 270 HP olan yok. Arada sırada geliyor bir iki tane ama onlar da genelde pistlerde kullanılmış araçlar ve yıpranmış araçlar. Türkiye'de sorunsuz R bulman zor.

I would still go with the Ford Focus ST since the Peugeot RCZ R's engine has reliability issues.
Driving position is also known to be utterly horrible in the Peugeot.
No, the 156 THP has reliability issues. Peugeot Sport re-designed this bmw based engine and fixed it's flaws. By the way bmw is still struggling with that engine. I guess they are not so good fixing design issues than Peugeot.

My R has just turned 7, and since 3 miles on the clock she has had no engine reliability issues (3 miles is how many there were on her when I picked her up 😁).
