I'm glad that you guys brought up the point of burning plastic. In the end it's the best way to remove it from the cycle. And if I am remembering correctly, we do have a limited number of facilities that exclusively burn trash and focus on converting all of the burnt debris into energy and trapped gases that can be sold. These facilities are also very mindful of the pollution caused by burning plastics, and have advanced filters that keep the toxic chemicals leaking the facility down to a bare minimum. They produce less carbon dioxide than a coal plant.
In the United States we only have one major plant that does this on the East Coast, unfortunately it is extremely expensive to build facilities like this, and I hope that we install one on the West Coast soon.

Nature is beautiful of course, but brutal. Humans invented all the conveniences in this world to escape from the harsh brutality of nature which will kill you sooner or later if you're left in the elements without clothes and soap. Convenience makes our lives better and is not evil, because survival is not evil. But for example, to hypothetically force people to live a life of subsistence when they could have a better life would be evil, in my opinion

Wow! I didn't realise the information you gave about micro plastics in the water that's being sold to farmers, More farmers need to be aware of this so they don't buy the water or fertilizer.
Another reason to garden myself to prevent eating micro plastics.

Don't blame the plastic bottle. Blame the people that throw them wherever they please and the shtty governments that fail to provide adequate waste management systems and instead dump their trash into oceans. Take this into account, the weight reductions of plastics have MASSIVELY reduced the fuel and thus CO2 expenditures required to transport things like water or other liquids. Also landfills are marvels of modern engineering. We could fit nearly all the trash ever created in a hole a mile wide and deep, or something like that. Look up the truth about landfills. They were given a bad name pretty much all at once due to a boat filled with trash that no city would accept and it made it on the national news. We can trace the vast amount of plastic pollution to a few small countries in Asia and the worst of them... China (a true eco villain if there ever was).

You can turn plastics into diesels and gasoline. Then you wont find plastic elsewhere if we use it up this way. Making it ourselves. The trees and whatnot will clean up the air. More tree farms needed too!!!

@@Cbd_7ohm right, however its something we ca do as regular people and we can also stop buying as many plastics as possible. Like buy less plastic storage containers, plastic dishes, etc. We can make a huge impact just starting at home as to not add more to the pile out there already. Stop spending our money at large corporations and box stores. We have a lot of influence with how we spend.. spend = demand. It's a Start, a beginning towards living with less garbage from our homes. Shop less. Grow more etc. There's solutions to every problem. And there are negative people who will find problems to every solution without even lifting a finger to try.
We are the answer. We are the ones that make the difference. And every person matters, every small act makes a big impact. Even if one can't see it.

A good start with the plastic issue is single use plastic (which is what the focus of the video is about). Plastic actually has benefits in many applications but it doesn’t have to be a problem if it’s disposed of properly.

I want to learn how to use waste for an energy source and am trying to find ways currently. I am also trying to reduce my waste to recycling but recently found out half or more does not get recycled and me and my neighbor been talking about getting glass jars and bottles and getting meat from our local butcher instead of out of the plastic. It's a slow process when the corporate tries to hide more eco friendly stuff or take away our right to choose a butcher by taking the butchers away who would add meat to this and taking farms down. Still we are trying to fight back even talked about making lard again. Wish us luck if I find a good natural method on everything I will reach out here and other youtubers to give them this info.

There are so many plant based completely compostable alternatives… I could never understand why plastic hadn’t been replaced a decade ago. The only reason it hasn’t is like you say.. big business still making big dollars from producing plastics and as has always been the way, any competition must be squashed. 😢
