i just recently returned home from my trip to thailand and i can honestly say you are so friendly and helpful to us visitors. i felt totally safe in your beautiful country. I will definitely return again
I am now retired but I have been visiting Thailand for holidays for 20 years with my partner/husband. We both love the friendliness of Thai people, the culture, the weather ,the food and for me the shopping is the best and most fun. The worst tourists I see are the loud, lecherous and entitled men (often drunk) who think it's okay to molest and insult the Thai bar workers just because it's their job and they've got money. It makes my blood boils when I see it happening. They would not dare behave like this in their own country so why do it in Thailand.
It’s great that you and your partner have enjoyed so many visits to Thailand! I agree, the behavior you mentioned is frustrating and unfair. Respect should be the standard, no matter where you are. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
There are numerous foreign visitors who come to this country for sporting or other types of events, as well as outdoor activities such as trekking, scuba diving, cycling, running, motorcycle touring, and many more. Then there are individuals like myself, who relocated here at a young age (23) and have remained, having experienced various phases of expatriate life. Anyone who spends a sufficient amount of time here will naturally fall into distinct categories over time.
I live in southern Sweden and my neighbour is a Thai temple with three monks. I have been to a ceremony, were offered food and had a great experience. Would like to travel and learn more, will see if it happens in 2025!
Women from Thailand are all gorgeous and you are one of them. All women from Thailand are beauty on earth. By the way how can I meet a beauty like you? … I understand that you have a beautiful accent. 🌹😇😘👸🏻
Thailand has added 20+ years to my life. How? Your country is like a medicine for depression, boredom, loneliness, lack of relationships. It brings happiness and joy. It is like a paradise for me. Thanks for your beautiful videos and you are beautiful. Every time I visit I feel like a young man
Very interesting. I’ve been mostly a “traveler” and “foodie” with a little bit of “hippie” (but never used drugs). In a couple years I hope to add “retiree” to the list. I’ve occasionally gone on dates while in Thailand, but probably not enough to be a “passport bro”.
Dear Ling noi, thanks again for this insight. Everyone has his reputation in hand, sure. 6 stereotypes. I'm lucky because my favorite number has always been the 7. 😊. Today, after the bad experience with the super thanks I just put my card on ppal. Please check if this works. Have a merry Xmas, however you spend the time today. Hope to see you again soon. Bye, Santa K
Thank you so much! 😊 I just checked, and it’s working perfectly. I really appreciate your support through the Super Thanks. It means a lot to me! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas too, no matter how you celebrate today. Take care and enjoy the festive season! 🎄
I visit Thailand for the total experience. I don’t drink and don’t visit bars. I like the massage, people, culture; politeness, food, cheaper prices, friendliness and relaxing environment. I do like the beauty of Thai ladies. Next month will be 57th trip
Thanks for your breakdown of visitor to Thailand. I am the visitor who wants to learn Thai culture. I also want to learn the language, at least enough to communicate basic ideas. I was in Thailand last summer, and will be back in 3 weeks to do more exploring. I love your country and its people...
when in Thai, do as the Thais do... is my motto... highly respect locals... not too much alcohol... like moderate fun life :) ... like try to enjoy your life and note that everyone around you enjoying it too :) like goaling some sort of balance... in everyday life. Nice vid Palm... and happy holidays and new years eve :) Year 2025 will be a blast :D
Sounds like you have the right mindset for an amazing time in Thailand. Happy holidays and New Year’s Eve to you too! 2025 is definitely going to be a blast! 🎉😊
555 I first came as an Accidental Tourist and subsequently transitioned through 3 of the categories mentioned, and about to enter the 4th and final the next time I return. But I won't be spending this last stage with a young bar girl. It will be with my Thai wife of 25 years.
What an incredible journey! It’s amazing to hear how your experience has evolved over the years. Wishing you both nothing but happiness in the next chapter! 😊
Sawasdee khrap Palm 🙏. I think many English know that not all Thai women are like the bar girls, not that I think there is anything wrong with them, everybody has to make a living after all 🙏❤️🇹🇭
I am a dipper. I dip in and out of Thailand for different reasons. I come for travel / sightseeing. I also come to see my Thai English son who lives here. I’m kinda like a cross between a traveler and an expat.
I suppose retiree's are a good thing for Thailand as they bring money but do not take any jobs, so they just add new money to the economy. I am seriously thinking about retiring there in 7 years time. Being a Buddhist myself the thought of living out my last years in a Buddhist country is very appealing. The video of the pervert in the lift with the lady is terrifying, poor woman :(
I visit Thailand very often Meeting friends (all academics). Traveling around Ancient buildings And… I’m speaking Thai But… I can’t eat the spicy food. Friends are always making an extra dish for me 555 A lot of them described me more Thai than real Thai 555
Thais have a different concept of what a foreigner is. It stems from their word for foreigner, I.e. farang. Simple example. A British person in Thailand is, of course, a foreigner. But to a Thai person in the UK, a Brit is still a foreigner because he or she is still a farang. No criticism of the word "farang " intended, just pointing out a cultural quirk.
No, farang doesn’t mean foreigner, Chinese or Japanese or Indian or Arab or any Asian are not Farang. It’s the word that used for calling white people, the same as westerner have the word ‘Asain’ to call Asian.
what type am i, im 30 and basically just come for the cost of living and the huge amounts of tinder matches, am i a sexpat if i dont pay for it? i stay in thailand 3 to 4 months a year

Thank you so much for your kind words and support! 😊 Haha, yes, the sexpats are hard to miss. Totally agree, those bad apples don’t belong here! Merry Christmas to you too, all the way from Sweden! 🎄🎅 Wishing you lots of joy and good food this holiday season!
According to your video, to a T. I am retired moving to Thailand and the girl I’m talking to is 20 years younger than me. And yes it will end bad because I’m 56 and I will die before her..😂😂
Haha, sounds like you’re embracing the reality with a great sense of humor! Wishing you all the best for your move to Thailand, it sounds like an exciting new chapter! 🙏
The only advantages of Thailand over northern Europe are the weather and cost of living, Very important for sure, but for me, Europe wins by a large margin on everything else.
You could add the FIRE “category”: Financially Independent Retired Early 😎

The proper word for foreigner is คนต่างชาติ, not farang. Many foreigners in Thailand are not categorized as farangs.

UA-cam gone too far because content creators have to worry too many normal words to get banned 😐
It's frustrating when even normal words can get creators in trouble. Hopefully, UA-cam finds a better balance soon!
Thanks for the information, but please at least turn down the sound level of the cheesy effects.
