Good morning Crystal. Dinner today will be easy, as it is leftovers of a new recipe I tried last night, Cajun Chicken Pasta. It was easy to make, as the pasta cooked in the chicken broth and water, and it was filled with yummy veggies like peppers and spinach. I'll probably add a salad and some rolls to it. I may just do some baking today, as I've been wanting to make these Carrot Cake Breakfast Cookies, made with shredded carrots and apples and fortified with flax seed and sweetened with honey! I read the bible every day, and while doing that is good, it means so much more if you UNDERSTAND AND CAN APPLY what you are reading. I have an Application Study Bible which helps me do that, and I too have underlined a lot and made notes as well. Thank you for sharing your resources with us, which was a wealth of information. I will definitely be checking it out. Have a blessed weekend my friend!

I study my Bible the same way. I don't have a spiral Bible, but I do have a note taking one that I love. If you like J. Vernon McGee, he has a wonderful set of commentaries on each book of the Bible. I enjoy Warren Wiersbe's Be series of commentaries. He's very easy to understand, but has a lot of depth. I am listening to Chuck Smith, also. However, my family and I love watching his protege Jack Hibbs. He has a UA-cam channel Real Life with Jack Hibbs. He has been going through the book of Hebrews verse by verse for three years now, and he's still not finished! On a different note, we are having parmesan crusted pork chops for dinner with some rice and veggies. Yum! Cinnamon rolls sound delicious!! I hope you have a wonderful trip with your family! Blessings!

I’m hearing of an early Fall in my area. I am definitely noticing some differences already. The smells, sounds and sky start to change. We have had a very hot summer so I’m loving the slightly cooler temperatures. It makes me anxious to start making apple butter, canning and drying apples.
This week I made cranberry-raspberry jam for the pantry. My brother-in-law gave me zucchini so I shredded some for the freezer and also made some delicious zucchini fritters.
I hope you have a great trip!

Hello Adrienne! Your jam sounds wonderful! I'm noticing the differences in the weather this year too. I'm sure by the time I get back I'll be ready for fall! Zucchini fritters sound so good!! Have a great weekend and week ahead my friend 💞😊

Hey Crystal! As soon as I saw your flannel shirt, I got jealous lol. It’s even hotter here now. I’m trying not to wish the days away but I can’t wait for fall- which doesn’t last long in this neck of the woods. That’s a cool Bible and I believe it’s the same kind Heather at The Kneady Homesteader I see her using. Sometimes I think I’d like to have a new Bible but I have so many notes in mine and I know I’d never transcribe them all. I’m thinking a simple supper probably salmon burgers and broccoli salad. I sooo look forward to using my oven more or later in the day 😆. Cinnamon rolls sound so yummy. Have a great weekend.
ps I’m curious, do you drink your coffee black?

Hi Lori! I can't believe how quickly it's cooled down here.. normally August is still a hot month. And YES!! Kneady Homesteader is where I first saw Heather using the spiral Bible. I'm really loving it! Your dinner sounds simple and delicious. Have a great week! 💞😊

Lovely video Crystal - thank you. I agree we need to hide God's Word in our hearts and any method that helps and reinvigorates our enthusiasm is good. I was really struggling with Job recently and found a UA-cam animation called 'Read Scripture' where the book is explained in pictoral terms - it was really helpful to me. I'm going to join Instagram and try to follow your posts there too. Xx
