a) You can find the 4 corners of the map. So scrolling to the far bottom right then "a bit" back the other way should find your tier 1 tower a lot easier. b) Panning the camera with arrow keys is probably more precise.
I was thinking about the arrows, but I decided to play only with the buttons I normally use. I believe I have to rely on precise sound location much more and turn up my headphones.
