NEVER knew Stevie did a jam with Chick! Seeing this for the first time hearing this on the day of his passing. RIP Chick you put your stamp on music forever.
I love how Chick is the only guy other than Stevie who actually knows the tune well enough to play it from memory, the bass player is literally learning the tune on the spot & under pressure! 😀

Awesome! I used to jam at a local jazz bar on Tuesday nights with Chick many years ago, when I was a guitarist living near him in Florida. He was a monster musician, and wonderful human being....RIP Chick....
Nah, nothing like seeing a great up close and personal in a small setting. This is as close to having them over to the house for coffee and jam as one is gonna get. I don't go to large concerts anymore - too many phones to look through:)

Me too! His tone, phrasing and tasty melodic expressions keep my interest. As a 48 year harp player I of course have recordings by the others you mention but Stevie is so cool on harp.
How wonderful was that? That just made my day. Thanks so much for sharing that.I have loved the music of Stevie Wonder and Chick Corea for decades. I expected Stevie to sing but it was way cool to hear him just play. And kudos to Chick for remembering the bass line in the bridge as well as the ending.
Sensational. It's videos like these that make me go buy jazz piano books to learn, like this one called The Jazz Piano Book, but I'm just not cut out for it. Gosh I was so immersed in this performance. Really magnificent. Wonderful Stevie and his great musical ear.

@nightridehome - Well.. Stevenland was once asked about the sad facts of being blind, and answered - "It could have been much worse, I could have been black, ha,ha."
Rest in peace, Chick. We'll remember you.
Two legends on one stage.
Makes me sad that this will never happen again.
RIP Chick Corea
An instrumental version of "Pastime Paradise" with Stevie Wonder and Chick Corea... can't get any better! R I P Chick
That night the sax player returns home, edits his resume: "Played with Stevie Wonder." Tick.
Oh without a doubt lol
And Why not? 🙂👍
:) 🤣💯
He's thinking... With my sax can i possibly catch up with Stevie's harmonica?
:-D
A true lesson on knowing when not to play. Guitarist and saxophonist did the right thing.
That musicianship is so hard to find🙏🏾

That's what it means to be a professional jazz musician. Miles Davis used to deliberately do this with his bands.

I miss Chick so much!

when he started quoting his own and chick's songs? i LOST IT so touching
That littie nod to Spain was very nice, he honored the fact that they were playing together in his solo. Wow!
A musical moment to be remembered forever. Brought tears to my eyes. Thank you VERY much!
Just 1 (one) note, you can tell it's Stevie. That's how amazing his melody 🔥
Technically one note isn’t a melody 😂
Especially his drumming. Stevie's style is unmistakable
