    Loved the campsite in Queenstown. The train ride was spectacular. My hubby and teenage sons did the rafting on the river and met the train at the top. I treated myself and did the first class carriage. Which was amazing.

    Wife and I were fortunate enough to have lived in Tassie until our children were old enough to be looking for work. Loved the bush walks and mountains. been to Strathgordon a few time in the 80s. My brother was a Chef at the Chalet there for a couple of years Lived at Zeehan for 8 years and Quuenstown for a year as well. Seen quite a few footballers near in tears after coming a cropper on the Queenie football ground. lol. Tassie has heaps to offer. We were in our late 30s when we left and haven't seen anywhere near all of it.

    Dec 2011 we stayed in Mount Field national park and the local bush fire brigades came around with Santa and lollies for the kids which were a hit! We weren’t as well set up for off grid then but Ted’s Beach is on the list for next time!

    Stunning!!!! Brings back good memories! We had a short holiday there in Dec 2020 and saw a few of these places. Looking forward to going back for at least a few months, just the two of us (teens will be old enough to leave soon!). Fave bit "the tree didn't move darling" 🤣🤣🤣

    Great watch guys, Beautiful scenery, Tarraleah in the central plateau was home to my husband and I for over 7 years, it was a hydro village then, you would have driven passed the power stations on your way to mount field glad you are enjoying Tassie ❤

    Another enjoyable video. 2 years ago I saw Lake Dobson iced over except for 2 metres at the edge.The pandani grove was like a wonder land covered in snow. I hope you have time to go to Maria Island on the East Coast.A good day trip. There is a boat to get there and the island is a good place for a walk and there are los of wombats,wallabies,kangaroos Cape Barron Geese

      Oh wow! That would be incredible to see. We decided to give Maria Island a miss as it's expensive to get there and a big day for the kids.

    Enjoyed episode, Queenstown to Hobart, remember black ice on road just outside Queenstown 1978 , summer, was a surprise, All bikes stayed upright my HQ , Panel Van stayed on road, Mt Field National Park, rained all night , 4 man tent leaked, with 7 sleeping in it, Not fun sleeping in water. Spent half a day at Laundry drying everything in Hobart. Should be fun exploring Bruny Island, East coast, Cheers Bevan 🤠❤️🦘🦘🇦🇺

    Great walk folks. Have photos of the falls, can you still walk across the top of the falls? Also have you seen the carved wall at Derwent Bridge? It is well worth it. Cheers Cheryl 🙂

      No more walking across the top, it's fenced off these days. We did visit 'The Wall' on our way through, it was incredible, although no photos or video allowed.

    aT 19:38 i have a Native Frangipani outside my kitchen window. That is another deciduous Native tree.
    The qualities of The Creator include randomness AND order at the same time. I can see you have discovered this quality, just like blue and green in nature which contradicts the artists motto of " blue and green cannot be seen without a colour between them" The One and only God has a habit of overturning our suppositions with His artistry. 🙃😁

    • @TheLifestylePioneers
      @TheLifestylePioneers  10 місяців тому

      There's a lot of restrictions in Tassie. Not too sure why. You can't fly them in NPs in NSW, Vic or SA either

    Everybody knows every nice campsite thanks to utube.... It really has spoiled most of them with areas being quite busy now increasing for the last 5 or so years. It's ok for me as I have a few spots around Tassie that the UTube wankery won't get to. My advice is to ignore channels like this and go on a real adventure with advice and directions from locals of the area you are visiting.

      Thanks for watching and taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We're looking forward to 'spoiling' more places by inspiring people to explore our incredible country.

      Please. Don’t watch if you can’t handle it Dav. Kids say worse than that at school from the lower grades.

      We film in the moment, with no script and share our feelings as they happen. Sometimes that includes a few profanities (and sometimes worse than 'bloody'). Although it might not be to everyone's taste, we'd rather stick to being real and uncensored. Thanks for your feedback though.
