I did the event easily first try. 1) go take Brussels and make sure you have enough income using landmarks 2) secure Brussels the line Will be shorter and more defensive wise because some will come by sea and you kill them easily using only the French generals. 3) in Ardennes forest use in depth defence starting deeper 1-2places than the video and check the mountains for the right corner ( there is a gap that they can't pass) 4) use rocket launchers and bunkers for the first lines to replace the gaps 5) after 20+ use infantry and bunkers-rockets for Maginot line and all your good generals should be in Ardennes and Maginot line. 6) well done it's over
Combat Medic with Tito as commander had given me years of life, I swear that an op tank with op commander shines more when you can keep it alive long enough
This level was insanely easy. I was the one doing the invading. I retook Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, and I had took the German Rhineland right as the Game ended on the 30th turn.
Can confirm, with only 10 generals and using the city buildings to gain more money and industry and spaming out rocket artillery you can with this on hard. Best strat? Right away run to take brussels and hold it long as you can, use either your best gen or the french heavy to take allied cities that fall to the north for extra funding. If you have the ability you can even push on the top north german cities with your best gen to gain even more funding (the game gives you extra resources if you take them!). Id also add reinforce the maginot line if you can, eventually the attack through the Ardennes will be dealt with if you blocked it correctly, and you will want to flip over everything to defend the maginot front, spaming land forts there can help to waste enemy momentum
You should try getting the general Williams when he passes through the shop again. He's an artillery general that when he annihilates a unit he gets to attack again
I got a similar scenario with this when I was playing Conques 1943 as India: I decided to collapse the eastern front eliminating the japanese before going west, but I knew damn well that the soviets could not hold them that long, so I used the far away position I had and the mountainous range at the nortwest of New Delhi to make a real Maginot Line with bunkers and rocket lanchers wich I was gathering slowly but surely, right when I was assaulting the main japanese islands oh boy... The Horde comed at me, all kinds of tanks, artillery and infantry swarmed my walls during over a dozen of turns, even it got the point where a german occupyied Stalingrad was hurling rockets at me (I wish at that point I had maxxed out rocket AA and put it all over the place) good thing since the AI needed to get the hot stuff from all over eastern europe the Horde was somewhat manageable at long term, when I had to counterattack I decided to flank from north because a frontal assault would've costed me way too much One of my favorites Conquests I had made so far, and with all the global upgrades I am doing, it should be not just doable, but enjoyable (p.s. was Conquest normal, not Challenge, I do not dare to touch that yet)
Jesus, all those premium generals... all full maxed generals... and its still that close... imagine having to use 8 generals... these events are impossible for f2p players
Another thing you could do to optimize your money Bruchminati is to use the buildings or infrastructures such as Military Factory to lower the cost of producing units.
Are these ecents coming back at some point? Didn't fine any info about it. Edit: Air gens aren't so bad. My dowding does ninty hits from time to time (on cities even 130). I think Göring just had the defense Ribbon.

hey bruch I paratrooper in to Swissland and put down my infantry general and attack muich from behind .The German put down a new unit every round but they don't attack my infantry after 3 round I take muich . IT was crazy

You could also try get the cities up north as well. After killing the units there it's quite free. Don't forget about landmarks for income. Financial and if possible, industry will do. Be aware that not everything is covered by forts in the Maginot line

Resources in conquest 1980 are not needed. But medals were much needed at this stage of the game.
