Just brewed my first cup of coffee with this product. My best coffee ever ! Either I was lucky first time or this is a wonderful piece of kit ! Wrist aching a bit though. 🤣🙆🏼♂️
I need one that makes a 16 oz cup of coffee 8 oz doesn't cut it. Any suggestions? Also how good is the thermos cup, how long does it keep the coffee hot?
You could theoretically fill it with hot water at home and it will still be hot a few hours later at the campsite. The coffee grounds will have to be stored separately
It made a great cup of coffee. My issue is I have severe osteo and rheumatoid arthritis and could not do the extraction without severe pain. Thank goodness I bought it from Amazon so I could return it. I wound up getting a GSI Microlite Java Press.
Only used mine once so far and I must have had my grind too fine I think. A bit bitter. I hope I get it right though because the nanopresso has been incredible for me.
I guess I should give it a few more tries, it seems to take forever to complete the extraction process. I love the Nanopresso, that is my goto at the office.
I agree, it does take a bit to pull all of the water through during extraction. I find myself checking it frequently. But I'm still quite pleased with the end result.
Does it get hot to hold/touch? being so close to the boiling water the entire process. And holding onto that thin looking aluminium flask while pulling out the plastic screw after immersing into boiling water looks very uncomfortable. I think it is a reasonably priced enough to give it a try. Not many good "travel brewers" can brew straight into a mug, aside from an aeropress go, but most people buying this probably already have an original aeropress.
So far this is the best of not many reviews of this product. I'm interested in it but not convinced yet. Two measuring spoons of ground coffee for an 8oz cup is about double the standard dose. Okay if you like really strong coffee and can handle the caffeine hit. Will this gadget work correctly with one measure of coffee? Is the experience and brew better than a travel cafetiere or the Gsi H2JO filter in a vacuum flask that I'm using now? Do fine grounds end up in your drink?
I think it is not much more than a standard dose. Standard dose is 60 g for 1000 ml. The Pipamokh brews 235 ml, the dose should be ~14 g, but the basket holds ~16 g. That is only 14 % more.
I have this and absolutely love love love it. For ensuring you can make at least half-decent coffee everywhere you go it's a must! Is it the height of coffee brewing? No. Is it good enough? Very much yes. A life saver if you ever stay over at a friends and they don't drink coffee (and yes those people exist!).
Daaaam this shit looks amazing, I really love the brushes finish and the convenience of having a fresh coffee is so mesmerizing. Thing is, 50 dollars in my county is quite a lot of money tho :/
@@9to5toys thank you, i will pursue it, i wanted to buy comenadante, but i see it's not worth to pay all that money on a hand grinder that i will only use it in travelling
1. where is the coffee yield? why not show it? 2. the way you edit the video makes your video into dots.. not line... difficult to follow... and the way the different parts of the device connected to each other change from one scene to another scene.
I'm not sure I understand the practical use of this. I wouldn't be able to imagine a situation where I would be on the go and have to use it AND yet have access to piping hot water. Do you take this to work? Hiking? When you're out and about? Not hating on the product, just legitimately confused.
When I go into the mountains (car, bicycle or hiking) I bring a small stove/pot combo that I use to cook and heat water. I've ordered a Picamocca to add it to my hiking kit. Another usecase: I can get boiling water free at the office, but a (truly awful) coffee costs me 1 franc (Swiss) ..
This looks great. However, I (personally) wouldn’t call it an “all in one coffee maker” if it doesn’t come with a grinder. Others do, and therefore should/could be called an “all in one”. My 2 cents.
Mr. Stickler here. This is not a true vacuum coffee maker, as I understand. A vacuum coffee maker has two chambers, one at the bottom filled with water, one at the top, with coffee grounds in the top and a siphon connecting the two chambers which are sealed together with a gasket. As the bottom chamber is heated, the heated water is forced into the upper chamber, mixes with the coffee, and a vacuum is created in the bottom chamber as the water is pushed upwards. When all the water is in the upper chamber and the coffee maker is removed from the heat, the brewed coffee is pulled back into the lower chamber by the vacuum, past a glass or metal filter. This coffee maker simply pushes the container of coffee grounds through the water as the internal part is screwed out, which is a French press in reverse.
Bought that thing and it’s so disappointing doesn’t work at all, the product Is a total fail and shouldn’t be recommended it’s just a waste of money, better put your money on something else like an Aeropress or a really simple Mokapot
On the go? Me too. I'm using it during hiking, 1 mug of coffee after a 2 hour walk is very nice and just enough. I'm also taking a flask with hot water with me so can I can brew more after another time of walking or if someone is walking with me.
Love this breakdown. Wacaco is doing cool things 😁 I actually own a startup, Mastermind Kold Brew. We are doing a large promo campaign over the next few months as things start to thaw out and people return to the outdoors, and We would love an honest review of our Kold Brewer from your channel. ❤️ I'll have my team reach out 😁
The most important thing is, really only a quarter turn per second. Very very important!!!

How is it?
After watching I got one Nesspresso and ordered for this one from Hongkong, still awaited! It’s nice
is the "mug" a vacuum insulated thermos or its just a single wall?
Vacuum insulated
I wonder if its better using the neo and just add water to have a cup of coffee.
Ok I have used mine for a month and it does a good cup and packs small in the camper.
Very classy and mature video, and clean good job.... and kinda retro with advertisement colors

Can this be set up with hot water and coffee for making the coffee later?

If it's bitter, go a bit coarser.

That is a better product nanopresso but even thats plastic. What you using at home tom? ( v60 or french press?)

The aluminium cup never gets hot, the screwy bit can but the orange screwed not. Its easy to operate and never so hot you'll burn yourself.
Just brewed my first cup, a little quirky but very cool

How does this taste compared to a v60?

Great review!
Outstanding thank you Sir.

Is this coffee grinder is good and reliable?
I've been happy with it so far.
@@9to5toys thank you, i will pursue it, i wanted to buy comenadante, but i see it's not worth to pay all that money on a hand grinder that i will only use it in travelling
What coffee grinder is it?
The Espro french press is much simpler. Or any other portable french press
I'm amazed the lengths people go too for a cup of coffee "on the go"
Our only issue is that it took a very long time and effort to do de extraction process.
The Pipamoka has been issued with a NATO Stock Number: NSN: 7330-22-634-6377
Pleased with it but every time I unscrew the device to the top, there’s at least half a cup of water still trapped in the top 🙄 which is a pain
I've just bought mine and haven't yet used it... The instructions say that if there's water in the top to do the unscrew a bit slower?
Slow down the process
Works best with a coarser grind.
Giver en super god kop kaffe - elsker min Wacaco Pipamoka
A lot of money to make 8 oz of coffee. Maybe if they would crank it up to 12 or 15 it would get one. But thanks for the video.

@@alexandergutfeldt1144 Thank you very much for the explanation.
Stays hot for hours so ideal for a day trip out
Don’t be confused go back to high school
Space Androidz will do, thanks for the suggestion!
This has vacuum pressure this is not a vacuum brewer. Vacuum brewers use vapor pressure and gravity between 2 chambers.
Takes about 5 minute's to unscrew. Hassle
What does 'strong' cup of coffee mean!? Has about 4 different definitions.
This looks great. However, I (personally) wouldn’t call it an “all in one coffee maker” if it doesn’t come with a grinder. Others do, and therefore should/could be called an “all in one”.

Which ones come with a grinder?

This is so well made, but omg who in the world drinks only 8oz of coffee at a time?
Me. That's about the size of a mug of coffee in much of Europe

exactly 12 oz is a tall starbucks. 8oz is a joke

yeah but even thats cheap plastic like this crap. I would say if you are out, just go to starbucks lol. If you are home, use a v60 or french press.

piece of rubbish, have persistently tried for 12 mths using different coarse grinds. at best you can only get a half brew at best.
$47 for a device that only makes an 8 oz coffee? I believe I will pass.
Sorry but I think it is trash
