I dont understand. If tungsten carbide is so brittle, why isnt tungsten alloyed with nickel and iron used instead?
HRA 89-91 when alloyed with cobalt. HRC 23-28 when alloyed with Ni and Fe. depends on the customer's request.

no, diamond is harder. HR93 for tungsten carbide.
