I’ve been to Cuba 12 times. My advice for the bus stations is always show up the hour early to secure your spot. I always make sure to bring a backpack full of beer. Makes the wait more enjoyable! Love the videos

There’s an Afro-Cuban rumba band called Los Munequitos de Mantazas that are from the Mantazas region. That beach is strikingly blue!

Siboney in Santiago de Cuba has a very active & pretty reef 5 feet from shore. Best snorkeling in the world imo

I am going to Cuba in November this year
I have been to many countries.. In my experience, Cuba has the nicest beaches. They're clean and safe!! My favorite is Playas del Este which is just a short bus ride from Havana.. I hope to be able to return to Cuba some day.. I love the people, the culture, and to a certain extent, their government.. They're fighting the great Satan of the U.S. and they're still holding up after all these years!!
there's nothing this clean in Thailand (maybe Phi Phi Island) and even in Bali. Maybe it's because Asia gets so many tourists and a lot of industrial stuff around. The Caribbeans definitely have some of the nicest beaches in the world.

Always looking for current intel on Varadero. With so many Cubans in the water there, I wonder what the rest of the town is like. Maybe Calle62 will actually clear away the tables and charis, get the live band back and have a proper street party like they used to have pre-virus?
And just a tip for you . Avoid traveling during this hot summer season from July till December coz I visited many South American country and I got sick every time but when I changed a little bit my routine started going in April and may I always don’t get sick

how did you get into Cuba? I went in 2016 December and I went to the Cuban Embassy in DC and got a visa and flew from JFK with Jet Blue, but now I do not see anywhere to get the visas. Also, even when I got to JFK they had tourist visa at the airport for Cuba for $50 back in 2016

Yes it's only 2 hours away in car....I suggest you rent a car or pay a local to take you they charge way less..varadero is beautiful and the people are very friendly..you could rent a room there very cheap next to the beach.
Do not travel to Cuba. You will hate it. Cuban here.

From what my mother in law tells me, its very hard for ppl in Cuba to get food. Was it a struggle for you to find food while u were there? Just out of curiosity since you said you didn't eat. I guess im wondering is it really that bad?
I just came back from Cuba. We ate at several different restaurants. Surprisingly they had bbq ribs, chicken and fish. The food was good too. It’s a beautiful place. We stayed in Miramar. I definitely want to go back.

Cuba looks beautiful and all to visit. But living there is a nightmare. Power outages, trash, crumbling buildings, oppression from freedom of speech, limited food, long lines, medical help can take forever, etc.
Name me one country in the Caribbean were some form of poverty doesn't exist I was in Cuba in 2017 for 30 days and I rented an apartment in a Cuba's family home and we discussed ordinary life in Cuba on a daily basis and I ate where the average Cuban ate and took public transportation were their shortages and long lines certainly but people that criticized Cuba never mentioned the 60 year economic boycott of Cuba by the United States government. When in Havana I found no homelessness, no mass hunger no gun violence no drug traffic very little income inequality and I was never harassed or had to show identification one time. Lift the embargo and the Cuban economy will take off this is just my personal opinion from being in Cuba 🇨🇺.
@@markrush2319 Not saying that there isn’t same problems in other places. There is definitely income inequality in cuba and there is also homelessness as well. I have had people begging in the streets in Cuba. Just that Cuba has a very oppressive government and has made it really hard for Cubans to live decently. That’s why many leave. Cuba is wonderful and one of the most beautiful island nations in the world ❤️.

Varadero is like another planet compared to Havana. The onlu Cubans at Varadero is the workers. Mostly tourists otherwise.

The beach at varadero is only clean in front of the hotels ,if you walk past the resorts there is rubbish strewn everywhere ,such a shame ,lovely helpful people at a price ofcourse ,5hey have to work hard to survive
