Blue October criminally underrated. "I hope you're happy" and "falling in the ocean" are all great
Falling in the Ocean gets me everytime.
They are from Houston, Tx and I'm in Dallas, TX so I've seen them a lot. They never disappoint. I've seen people jam and watched them cry at every show.
Into The Ocean*
Omg the underrated comment. C’mon man say something viable and original. They are not underrated at all. They are very popular and very well received and understood by the fans that relate to their music. Go to any music video and there’s always a tool like you with that so played out comment.
“Into the ocean” plus Say it, Calling you, and Dirt room are really good
this song will always be on the top of my list of emotional songs that will reduce me to a mess after listening to.
Cry in the name of Corey plz
The lead singer has a brother named Jeremy he's also in the band he plays the drums
This and The Reason by Hoobastank makes me cry without fail
Please do more blue October, there live shows are unreal, Justin puts so much emotion and passion when he sings
I’d love to see her do Fear
Blue October is one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen. As good as their albums are, Justin’s voice live is crazy good and emotional.
No doubt. Never been to a show and been so moved and seen so many others deeply moved. You see the tears and feel the emotion of the room. They are definitely something to behold live.
I have tickets in July and am soooo excited
@@shaunamcallister2163 been to see them twice you will be blown away world class enjoy
Saw them at The Warehouse in Houston. His mom was there stage left. And I completely agree with you on how good they are live.
I'm a huge extreme death metal fan but also a fan of good music that swallow your emotions whole because it's so relatable. Love you mom
Ditto.
The entire discography of Blue October essentially functions as a look inside the life of Justin and all the highs and lows he has experience in the last 25 or so years. A lot of early stuff is darker, and a whole of the newer stuff is lighter. It truly is an examination of the progression and evolution of a man who has experienced an immense amount of heavy events in his life, both from poor choices as well as amazing triumphs. I hope to see more of Justin Furstenfeld and Blue October on your channel!
Justin is a lyrical genius and he sings with such passion. It shows in every song, every performance.. the whole band is so underrated. Blue family forever
I LOVE this song!! There is a live version from a concert and it gives you chills when every one starts singing
I like the live version better myself!
Live in Texas I believe your referring to.
Yeah that live version is fcking amazing his vocals on the live are so much more emotionally powerful than the studio version I love it listen to it every day
Try the Manchester Accoustic set. HATE ME is song so differently
I love the live version.
Blue October is amazing! Been loving them since early 2000's. Check out their older albums like Consent to Treatment and History for Sale (my personal fave). Very cathartic and therapeutic at times for myself. xx
Justin F. has been very open and vocal about the origins of this song and the troubles that he has had with drugs. You should look up one of his "Open Book" shows on here on youtube.
I love history for sale
still remeber being like 12 and seeing this on much music in canada!!
The Argue With a Tree double live album is one of my favorite live albums plus the versions of "Calling You" and "Breakfast After Ten" from it are fantastic. Don't tell anyone but this 40 year old something would cry his eyes out at a Blue October concert like a teenager at a Beatles gig and i consider myself a hard rock/metal head.
@@sweetroll482 the open book is easily one of the best shows I've ever been to and I've been to a lot.
"Intense" and "haunting" are certainly the words to describe Justin's music. He's amazing. He's beyond amazing.
I just saw them this last weekend in Disney World and he sounds exactly like their albums live. A truly amazing live performer!!!
There's a live version of this song, that I've only heard twice, but you can hear his voice crack, and you can tell he's crying when he's singing. Kills me everytime.
Cause this song is a true story about him and his mom
@@weepo2651 It's about him and an ex-girlfriend he had when the band was starting being famous, he said it in a live performance (acoustic version).
Believe it or not this band sound so much better live! Most songs r so emotional and their concerts are a whole ass experience. You definitely have to check out more of them.
Blue October is a damn roller coaster of emotions. By far one of the best and genuine bands out there. They are amazing live. Please please react to more
Great reaction! I'd recommend Blue October - Fear. It's such a emotional song that a lot of people can connect with but most people don't know of it.
Funny that you started singing Hoobastank's "The Reason", I always put the two together in my head, very similar in their choruses
Yess 🌷
I was wondering when you'd get around to Blue October. The acoustic version of "I hope your happy" shows off Justin's voice.
Then listen to the Original version. Totally different delivery.
Great call, love both versions of that song
I just commented this! #greatminds
I think the acoustic version is better than the album version.
It's even more amazing when you realize that this song came out around 2006. Their music, and Justin as a person, have grown so much since then it's mind blowing.
My home life was pretty messy. So I love this song even though it still gets me teary eyed. It was about his mother and all the struggles they went through if i remember. I think his mother died but I never had the chance to break the song down. Its a personal hit to me cuz my mom and i do not have a great relationship and do not talk for many reasons. I got my god mother and a few mothers on the side that raised me
I've scrolled down and haven't seen anyone recommend the live version from 2015. He sounds so much better, years later, on stage and no back-track, like in this version. You should listen to it. His voice has grown to sound so much better. It's a night and day difference from this, in the best possible way. Here's the title of it: Blue October - Hate Me (10th Anniversary) [Live]
my mom lost her battle with mental health July 20th 2023, this song was the first real thing that made me process her passing and gave me my first, real, big cry over it. i had to be strong for my older sisters and for my moms loved ones and so i packed all my feelings away until i made her memorial video to play at her funeral, and this song was one of three i used .... and i broke. i always loved this song growing up, but now ... now i have a whole new love for this song!
I'm so happy you found Blue October if you like this song you should definitely check out "My Never" and "Sound of Pulling Heaven Down" the lyrics in these are top tier 10/10
18th floor balcony.
Chameleon boy
Can’t play this song with tearing up halfway through the first verse and then bursting into tears for the rest of the song, Justin has turned his pain into something beautiful.
This song saved my life 2 years ago love it, the live version brings me to tears
Every time with this song!!😢😢😢 5 years clean from the pain pills!! Thank you, Melinda for helping find myself!!
Blue October has such a special place in my heart. Every song is powerful in its own way.
For a true sense of the emotional depth they can put into songs, I HIGHLY recommend anything from "Argue With A Tree (Live)".
His live vocals are on another level.
Thank you so much for this video!!
Best lyricist in the business. You feel every word from this man. They are my all time favorite band!
One time close to 20 years ago, I fell asleep listening to this song on repeat, as I used to do with my favorite songs, and I woke up depressed for like a week! Super emotional, depressing but catchy melodic. Love your reaction to it!
I've never seen Rebecca before, but had to subscribe. Very smart and obviously talented. If she was truly not familiar with this song, she managed to nail it. And she has my heart-so pretty:)
Thanks Michael ✨️ you're sweet!
I could watch your reaction to their entire catalog. They're such depth and variety and they're awesome.
First time I've heard this since getting sober. Means much more than ever.
This band is amazing to see live! Very powerful shows.
Another great reaction. I love the emotion AND the intellect you out into every reaction. And your look amazing. As always. Much love. 💗💗💗
Looking stunning as always, our RVA.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Looking beautiful today as usual. Another great video!! I love all the information on singing you give us. Keep up the great work!!
Such an amazing band. The emotional depth of their stuff is awesome. You should check out some of their live stuff like "the worry list" or "fear"
Blue October is full of masterpieces. Listening to them since 2007 and to many of us they’re more than music.
Hello Rebecca, glad you took the suggestion , ever since I first heard them they do have the full spectrum of emotional songs . Thank you
I hope she will watch TK -Unravel (the first take)
An incredible band! I love them so much and I'm glad you had the chance to listen to them. Honestly they have so many emotional and therapeutic songs, hope you listen to more of them
This is my favorite band. They’re amazing live. Please check their live videos. He’s a real performer. 🐐🔥🔥🔥🔥💯

So happy you did a reaction to Blue October. My absolute favorite band. Justin's lyrics and vocal always so perfectly deliver the emotion. I would love to see a reaction to any of their other songs but especially Bleed Out. Love your videos.
Absolutely love this song 🎵 ❤️

Wow this song brings so many memories when I was very low, in myself and at the time, life, but........ I'm strong and happy now. Time is a healer. May seem unreachable but you can do it!!!! If I can then......then we all can. Much love to you all xx
Man you love to see you to react to fear live the emotion he puts on those last few minutes are the best
Thank You, I love the emotion that Blue October brings . Very real. Great tunes. i have now spotified every song of theirs. And I am a rocker...a metal fan...and old school rap fan.

I did give a hug back!!! It was nice, thank you!!
Beautiful! Love your reactions!
FINALLY!! I am so glad you finally got to Justin & BO, please dig in deep, FEAR!!!
I love your emotional reactions to music. Its reflected in your songs.
Their performance of their song Fear live from Texas is amazing. You would be blown away by some of the notes he hits with his chest voice.
haven't heard this in a long time!
Thanks young lady!
This is the song that I heard that got me to buy the album, and I loved this introduction to Blue October, but I stayed for "18th Floor Balcony" and I hope you give that a reaction as well!
I am so insanely happy to see you reacting to one of my favourite bands
Great song, great review. Thank you for the hug. You always make my day a little brighter
Thank you for reviewing this. Blue October brings feelings to my soul.
Every song Justin has ever written is amazing and powerful , I heard this song after arguing with my first baby mom 2007 I think and I was by myself . I melted into a desolate cry . I ran away a week later to Puerto Rico . I made her hate me and today she loves me for it 🥺
I still listen to this song today!! Great song!!!
You're an absolute legend and this song will always pull on the emotional strings because of personal experiences.
❤ love your videos keep up the great work
My favorite vocal athlete reacting to my favorite band? Pinch me.
You HAVE to see them live next time they're across the pond. I'm at 18 shows and counting, every one has been a journey.

Fear was my first song i heard by Blue October… Meant a lot and it spoke to me… This song is priceless!!!! ❤
Into the ocean was my introduction to them and still my favorite of theirs/his!
Ugh finally I’ve been waiting years, please check out there new stuff or there live stuff. Criminal how they aren’t as big as they should be
Blue October is such a genuinely good band with so many underrated hits. Into the Ocean, I Hope You're Happy, Oh My My, so many solid hits
Glad your back great pick as well as a great reaction ty
Great song by a great band really glad you put up a reaction to this
My wife turned me on to these guys. She had wanted to see them for years. We've now seen them, and his solo Song Book tours, 7 times. They never disappoint. The emotion he evokes is clearly not feigned.
This is one of my favorite songs. Always makes me emotional
I get goosebumps every time that bridge hits🤩🔥🤘🤘
They are fantastic live too, saw them in Manchester in March.
I so love your reactions!!!😆💯💯💯💯
The singer of this song has overcome such a hard life of addiction and abuse and it's amazing how his voice changes throughout his older songs the his newer ones
Yesssss! Love this song.

Lovely as always 💕 thank you and Happy Weekend! Enjoy! ✌🏽😎❤💯👈🏽
Love this one. The song is darker but it hits me in the soul. Have loved it a long time.
Grew up on Blue October. One of the best live shows I've ever seen as well.
Good gawd this man has some serious Fn pipes.. RESPECT 🙏
I like the jazzy clarinet sounds during your commentary 🎶
Wellll, lots of things to looook atttt, i'll say there is!!! It was very nice to meet alll 3 of you Rebecca
Live version from their concert in Texas...go now...words won't do it justice.
They've been my favorite band ever since I can remember, I used to fall asleep to the FOIL album when I was little, such a good band with meaning behind every song
Tough to concentrate with you on the screen. Just lovely
If you do more of Blue October, you really can't pick a "bad" song, or a "lesser" song. All of their stuff just hits. Justin's voice is one of my all time favorites, I could listen to him all day every day. And he's so genuine. I recommend you listen to all their music. "Fear" would be a good one to react to though (among, seriously, all the rest of their music lol).
I don’t typically have well… *any* emotional connection with music, but this one track. This ONE TRACK… I cry like a fucking baby. So much of the time, I feel like I’m not worth loving. Even though I know I am, and I do so much to ensure that I’m worthy of that love… something always comes up that makes me feel like I’m still not doing enough.
I’ve struggled with major depressive episodes, manic highs, just utter emotional rollercoasters that many times, I feel like I have no control. The funny thing about this song, is it doesn’t matter if I’m having the best day of my life, or the worst, this song will always make me cry. Because I’m so broken, with no idea how to fix myself.
