I agree with this, except the statement that sin separates us from God. Sin separates a non believer from God, but a believer can not be separated from God.
I thought they all were until I started actually reading The Bible. The first thing I noticed was how much more serious God takes certain sins, especially idolatry. Acts 15:29 was a HUGE eye opener for me as well.
Come on guys, don't beat around the bush. Short answer: yes, clearly committing adultery is worse than lusting after a woman for example. Long answer: no, because all of us have sinned, none of us are justified, so the classification of sin doesn't affect our eternal judgment or position.
@@timothyhughes7600 In Matthew 5: 27-28, Jesus isn't actually stating that lusting after a woman is the same as committing adultery, but instead He is using that illustration to rebuke pride, self-righteousness, and highlight none of us are without sin. He addresses this issue of outwardly keeping the law, but having inner sinful hearts many times in the New Testament.
It's really a matter of researching their beliefs: - www.adventist.org/beliefs/fundamental-beliefs/ - www.christianity.com/church/denominations/10-things-everyone-should-know-about-seventh-day-adventists-and-their-beliefs.html The early church fathers preached salvation through Christ Jesus alone then when Rome co-opted Christianity during the council of Nicea _(creating the Roman Catholic Church),_ the belief was Christ PLUS works of penance. When the Protestant reformation took place in the 16th century, the belief was back to the early church understanding of grace alone through faith alone through Christ Jesus alone so that none of us can boast in the work that Christ has done and continues to do within us (Eph 2:8-10). Sadly, many of these denomination have lead so many back to the understanding of Chris plus works instead of adhering to the fact that we are under the covenant of grace in Christ Jesus alone.
I’m not trying to sound like a smarty pants or sound sarcastic but do we truly have to try or do we have to be “perfect” to be right with God? Please explain this.
Jesus Christ went to the cross and now lives to set sinful you free from death and hell. Repent and turn your heart to Him before it’s too late. Say yes!
God forgave me and I said forgive myself and please let those forgive me for what I caused amen and once saved always saved or I should repeat every second my life every sin I commit listen I sin daily and I'm not daily in jail and others sin same to more than that and they get away with it and never go to jail now...there's a verse in the Bible states no degree to sin and yet people sit in jail because they don't stop
I'm still confused because he said something about being with the same sex but not if it's an unforgivable sin, did anyone catch that or know the answer he gave? Thank you
No it's not an unforgivable sin. What he was referencing when he brought it up is how humans can tend to see different sins as worse or more acceptable based on often time personal values. His example was how some churches can see someone who divorces and remarries (which is Adultery) as acceptable but people who sleep with someone outside of marriage (Fornication) or someone who sleeps with the same sex (Homosexuality) are often looked down upon or their sin is seen as worse which is not the case with how The Lord sees/judges sin.
It’s like when a soldier jumps a grenade to save his friends. I don’t know how God will judge those people in the Old Testament since they didn’t have the words of Jesus
@@SireMario444 Great point! Sorry for some reason I didn't think about that. In the video believe they were talking more on immoral suicide rather than laying one's life down for another. Some say that those in the old testament who had faith God would send a savior like he promised, would inherit the kingdom.
You are caricaturing the Catholic position, at best. The Catholic Church does not teach that mortal sins are unforgivable, it teaches that mortal sins are sins that lead to the spiritual death of being cut off from the grace of God. They can certainly be forgiven. The unforgivable sin in Catholic theology is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which has been traditionally understood as the refusal to repent- God does not forgive those who do not want to be forgiven, because he respects free will.
What is really sin? So anything fallen short of the glory of God? No wonder there are so many mentally ill... Sin is like fallen short right? .........my finite mind.... i think ill just ....? Wow, if god is infinite; its gg O__O ? gg
No the wages of sin is death. The 10 commandments are a joke made up by man. There is 631 commandments, in the Torah. With there penalty listed in there also. The big but is, the sin has resulted in death, this is why we have the new convenient with Jesus. So you do not have to live by the law, because you can't no one can.
@@csimpsonjtd From what I understand yes, in the Bible there are 631 commands from God. In the book of Leviticus it says you must follow all these commands to be blessed by God. You will have plenty of dough in you're kneading bowl. That means all of the law not just 10. Man has picked about the 10 most easy commands to follow. And says we'll we can just go with that. I don't read anywhere in the txt were God says follow just these 10. It's written that you must follow all of them. For your blessings. It never says anything about, knowing your God, or you will be saved if you follow the law.
No sins aren't equal but all can be forgiven if you repent.

David didn’t get punished for drinking a beer, but for killing Bathsheba’s husband

Yes there are but you can repent and be forgiven. Praise God!
irrelevant to this video, I know. but can you make a video on "what is 7th Day Adventism"

What is better to tell a two year old? “You can repent on your deathbed.” Or “You will have to experience what you put others through.”?

the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy
is Christ a loving God so we like the devil can't be forgiven by who for what
idk who
No! To God, a sin is a sin!
There’s different kinds of suicide. Like Samson’s death
Samson was going to die ,he asked god for strength "one more time" to bring down building and crush the Philistines
“ morally legal suicide”
