Can you do a video on Refilling acrylic nails with large gaps that you’ve removed due to lifts. When I’ve removed large lifts I’m finding it hard to refill the nails evenly. Can you also show us how to remove small lifts with the drill bit. Thanks 🙏🥰

She's done this before, probably over a dozen times, even in the last few yrs since the pandemic. Discussing fills is probably one of the most common topics that comes up bc 1 thing she stresses is that often nail sets are removed & reapplied simply bc people aren't well trained or skilled in doing a proper fill. I know I've heard her answer the Q several times that nails never need to be removed /replaced as long as long as all the lifts are removed & filled correctly.

@@Shylade oh, I know that life.
Sometimes I'll do my nails one night and nail art the next day or so to not feel hurried at the tired end of a session. Heck, if I'm not going anywhere, I've also been known to file & fill on night one, paint on night two, and nail art on night three. That way, I'm breaking up the time investment into more tolerable little chunks.
All that said, I love the artistry and precision of it, and there's so much pride in having done my own talons for a fraction of the price, immeasurably more cleanliness, and which last at LEAST twice as long.

Honest question: if you're client has the same nails and end goal, would you have billed as a fill? I was hoping this video would teach more about a regular fill, as in, what's the least we should remove? I'm sure you have other great videos on this bc I think I saw some already, but I think the title is mis- labeled compared to your content. I still appreciate how you clarified the necessity varying based on the end goal, though , it makes sense to me. Thank you, Suzie😊

Another option is to file the lifted parts and the old design, because you can always use a nude gel polish.
So.... if you'd only filed off your foild and polish, you could have painted over wuth a nude polish.

Can I just say you look really pretty in that color. Peach, coral, hard to tell from the computer screen, but from my seat it looks like peach. Good color for you. I also must say that I have been binge watching while on vacation. Im so confused about jelly nails, Gel nails, gel builder, etc. I just want to learn to do my own nails, and the terms have me so confused. I appreciate the education that you give. I have learned so very much. have been trying to take notes, but I see one video from 4 years ago, and then see another one from 2 years ago. I guess I should have started watching them in some sort of order. However, Im not a huge tech person, and my knowledge there is pathetic. But Im about to retire, and I still want my nails to look good. But, retiring brings less money, so I will have to be on a good budget, but don't want to give up those things that make me feel good, my nails. I just have to find a less expensive alternate, me. Again, thank you for all that you give via this channel.

Either you actually had some type of Gel applied ( not acrylic) or they THINK Acrylic needs to be cured with a lamp ( it does not).

Hi, I know I'm not Suzie but I think almond would be the best option. Is it harder to clip acrylic nails? I use gel, so I just snip the length to save time. But I never used acrylic, so that may be harder to cut than I realize. My e-file is the cheapest I could find when I was just starting this as a hobby, but now I think I may need a better one. My cheap one won't let me go back and forth across the nail like Suzie does it. It wants me to stop and flip it in reverse to go backwards.

Your nail beds could be more oily than usual and there’s nothing wrong with that - it’s only an issue when you want to put something on them - I’d keep very short and let them grow out completely
Everytime you buff you thin and if they come off it can also thin them more - so give them a break let them go once over

And that is exactly why I LOVE gel polish! Regular nail polish rarely last 24 hours for me, no matter how carefully I prep, apply or top coat! Lol. With gel polish, I actually get a week to 10 days out of a manicure.🙂

Why would you want to use acetone on your nails and skin? Filing off the layer of gel polish is a safe and a easier process than polish remover.

My infills ALWAYS lift, but fresh sets never do! So annoying as I’ve no just started doing fresh sets when I just need an infill and it’s so much more time consuming 🥲
