I was in a couple leagues 20 years ago with my dad. I had a Tyco 440x2 built to the max. Wizard 2.7 ohm green wire motor with matched magnets and brushes (upgrade kit back then), oversized traction magnets modified to fit chassis, many many ring and pinion sets, many many sets of tires in various sizes and compounds. even built an independent front axle. topped it off with a Ferrari F40 lexan body held on with tiny patches of velcro.
The trick was getting the car to ride as low as possible without touching the track. we did that with tire height so the traction magnets were just barely above the rails. On tracks with a bank turn we ran a stagger set of tires. at the time it was the fastest car in the shop and if I didnt have an off, i usually won. my dad had a car set up nearly the same with the motor you have there. it was a night and day difference in the speed between the 2.

I know this is a stupid question, but is there anyway I would be able to use my Koford group 7 motors in any of the HO chassis. There are no tracks where I live so I just bought the Auto World Victory 400, 20 extra straight track, 2 adjustable 10 amo 30 volt power supplies and 4 viper cars. I only received the Victory 400 yesterday and waiting on everything else. If I can run Koford motors in the HO cars then the motors will not go to waste. I live in Hawaii and was planning on running my 1/24 Koford cars in Vegas once a year but I am not sure I am going in the right direction, Any advice would help. Thank you.

Do you sell the micro screws and special grey rear tires? If not, may I mail my car to you and you put them in?

I am just getting back into slot cars after being away over 30 years why do they seem to be more Tyco related hop UPS like this vs. AMX? I only have AFX do you make stuff like this for those chassis

The Tyco chassis was made in more volumes than the AFX Tomy stuff. But I have plenty of parts to hop-up Tomy SRT and Super G Plus.

Harden Creek Slot Cars shocking I figured it would be more AFX. most of my cars are magnatraction but I'm starting to purchase some newer stuff I have thunder Jets - and will probably race more of the older stuff but wouldn't mind a couple faster new AFX cars

Harden Creek Slot Cars also just bought Tomy super International track so I'm kind of like then I guess with tomy/afx

It's a nice large beginner set with a decent amount of track and I got it too, but the stuff in there isn't higher end type stuff like the mods being shown in this video. For example, you only get two wall wart power packs, one for two lanes/cars, which means you have to split 1 amp between two cars and fight over power drain/voltage. That isn't even really enough for the stock cars, but certainly wouldn't be enough power for hopped up cars.
So anyway, it's a bit of an apples and oranges kind of thing. You could still run the Tyco 440-X2s on the AFX track, but it isn't going to perform all that well, and likely not with the 120 ohm controller either.
