I also have the same R316 tx mower but it is not AWD. I cut herbs this size even with just two drive wheels. The seller of the machine advised me not to buy the AWD, because according to him, in addition to being much more expensive, maintenance is also more expensive and my land is almost completely flat.
I've always liked those AWD Huskys for just that reason. They can take the 'abuse' as long as you're careful (and you know what's under the long stuff) and the articulation means you can turn around practically on top of yourself. Back in the late-1980s-early-1990s I ran a lawn service that we named Jungle Maintenance. My business partner and I specialized in just that sort of bashing about every week on so-called 'clean up jobs.' We stopped short of true tree work, but took down lots of volunteers and saplings and loads of weeds and grasses. Beyond making it usable space again (like the picnic idea), it's loads of fun too!
Hello Farmer P 😊. Marvellous Mower wins the day, me thinks 😅. What a little Trojan. Is that perhaps your 2nd best machine to drive after the Mustang 😀. Short and sweet video. Great to watch. Thanks Farmer P 👍👌. Hope there were not too many mosquitos about considering the time of day long grass, pond🦟🦟🦟.Take care and hug for Biskit 🐶♥️🤗
Good evening Mr.P. Short and sweet video but very entertaining you certainly worked that mower hard and you did a great job and looking back after you finished you must be well pleased with what you had done. Keep well and stay safe.
Got a "Husky" after seeing yours. Love the fact that you can tip the deck upright to sharpen the blades and take off mulcher for the long stuff. Perfect mower for both long and short stuff.
@@FarmerP Have you seen “How Farms Work” latest video? - one serious bit of brush cutter in action on a teleskid JCB. But your little mower certainly punches above its weight! Is that area you mowed part of your garden?
You could almost have a game of cricket on there,😂very therapeutic to watch, did I see Michaelmas Daisies growing there if so everyone seems to have them.🧐
Used to have the pleasure of using one of them on the golf course I worked at and it was an absolute mountain goat of a machine. The course was on a hill so it got worked hard under the treelines but it never missed a beat.
Hi Ian that looked fun giving that a haircut....even only a short video but still very enjoyable ...the land around your farm really is lovely countryside 👍🇬🇧
The mower earned its keep today Another great video has always farmer p ian and Mrs p mother in law p Sam emma Abbi and holli and miss biskit miss crumble miss gypsy miss pepper and miss pickle miss Muppet 👍
Evening farmer p mum p abbi holli emma sam bisskit and ur other dogs Good vlog I can c farmer p u had a hard job with cutting that grass as it were very high was nt it Ur machine work well to cope with cutting all that grass and kept going threw all the high grass etc Love u guys💚❤️💙
Hi Ian. Can i ask if you have belt issues with R316? I have the same mover here in Perth WA it keeps wearing the drive belt from cent pully to deck and rarely cuts material as dense as you have there. Thank you
Still on the original belt Kevin. I wouldn’t be able to cut that lot if I left the mulching plate in. Three 13mm bolts at the back, behind the centre blade and it pops off easy (put the bolts back in) then when you have the area tamed, just re fit the plate 🙂👍🏼
I hear goats do a good job 'mowing' down weeds and blackberries etc. No petrol needed and you just let them do their thing. I am not saying buy goats but I have heard of goat farmers who would be glad to put their goats on your land to give them some food. But the fences have to be good otherwise they will try to escape. Chris
6’ fences, electrified with razor wire across the top, and you might keep them in 😄 Haha, no this area is reserved for our wildlife and possibly a bit of peaceful harmless leisure, I only mow a very small area so the short grass nibblers get a bit of secluded lunch, with the option of parking a tent on there if I feel like it 🙂👍🏼
I would be quite happy to ride on that mower and cut down those plants for you 😊 if I lived near you. Give me something to do. Regards to all at Bradley Farm 🎉
Its amazing what abuse they will take. I've got a Honda Paddock Mower that gets used for cutting the local footpaths. It takes no end of abuse and normally survives although I must admit a rock through the crankcase didn't do the engine any good a few years back but, new engine and back fighting its corner now
Been meaning to ask do you get any 🦔🦔🦔🦔. I’m constant filling up the feeding hut. Between them and feeding birds it’s a good job I haven’t got any children or furry pets 😂😂😂😂these cost me enough

Poor little mower certainly had its workout today 🙄😳💪💪

I got hay fever watching this😄
Sorry 😬😵🙂
I’ve done a few mows like that. I find it quite rewarding to take something so overgrown, and turn it into a nice path or lawn.

A very good Wednesday evening to you all

Quite a jungle in there! Goats would have a field day. They may be cheaper to hire than the cost of your fuel.
💕That little mower is a beast💕
keeping the grass tidy. lovly jubbly

Big job to do there mate
Husqvarna should use you as an advertisement for their mowers.
" welcome to the jungle " 😂 that's awesome mower Ian great job 👍 Guns n Roses would be perfect backing music for this, hahaha 😅
If only I was allowed 😄
Theres a 40 inch flail available for that mower
👍👍👍👍
Swedish power 👍
I give my mount field ride on about the same abuse does it the world of good clears the engine out a bit
👋😊
I now know who you remind me of MARIO from Mario carting 😂😂
👍🙂
👍
😎💙👍
Was that discharging out back or mulching?
I take the mulching blanket out for long grass Jan so discharging out the back.
@@FarmerP many thanks mate. Only just got mine and our paddock has some long grass areas.
@@janhudson4501 Only three bolts and the mulching plate comes off 🙂👍🏼put them back with a bit of grease though 🙂
@@FarmerP much appreciated.

How thick / dence dose the grass have to be for the ride on mower to not operate Ian?
If it was any thicker I would need to invest in the flail deck Wayne.
Thank you Ian having absolutely no experience or knowledge of these machines it was just a thought I had while watching your video

I see them occasionally, more often than not though just the spiney skin left by Mr badger.
Comment for engagement
😆😅🤣😂
He has a tractor he has a bigger mower. He has a topper?? Then why in gods name abuse the poor little mower. 😮
Because the mower wants to be a big boy too 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well that can be true. But it was hard work for the huscavana mower
The area is too small for any of my other machines Harrie, nothing else would go around the pond.
