Literally the exact type of video on the 1 series 123d I was looking for! Just got myself a 2011 123d and going to go stage 1 then stage 2 then hybrid turbos… people say go straight for all out max power but I prefer to do all my cars I’ve had progressively and just get to feel the change in how it drives at each power level.
How did you find the difference between standard and then stage 1? I've just bought my 2010 123d and looking to go straight through exhaust and stage 1 or should I go higher? This is all new for me so advice is appreciated
My tip, try to get almost the same conditions when test different modes. Like same (dry tarmac) track, temperatures, drive modes (always revv up...), test gear...so it's more comparable. I struggled with that as well but now I always do and the it's more compareble. Before I had with the same car 1-3s differences in the measurements. Still we are no laboratory. Anyway interesting video... 😎
Rev too high, power fall off is at approx 4500, he goes all the way to 5000. I got a 123d, and after 4500 you can definitely feel you’re „wasting time“

123d stock does 0-100km in 7 seconds, either you launch bad, or rev to high.
Shifting seems good

@@profitprophet4547 yeah that has to be it stock is 7.0 and stage 1 is 6.0
Seemed a bit slow stock. 120D can get
8 seconds, should be able to achieve at least 7.2 on this one.
he shifts like he never drove a diesel before, whats the point of going to red line in a diesel when the power starts to fall at around 4200 rpms

stock you get 8 seconds but my 118d with stage one 180bhp 370nm runs 7.2s? using dragy also.
This 123D definitely wasn’t running well for sure.
