- We upcycled my old boots to give them a more up to date look.
I had them re soled at Vibram London Academy, a shoe surgery shop in Old Street London. I think this is a perfect sustainable gift idea.

1st ever 1st 😆 always wholly believed in upcycling/recycling and maintaining👍 foot wear, so much waste - same with clothes wherever possible. Like you, I feel making your own clothes is often the only way to get what you really want/like/need and that fits well. Fascinating though, never knew a good shoe repairer could do this.
I know....it's so good and after I saw all the other possibilities, have a row of broken shoes, slides and boots waiting to be transformed Xx
Also, I have my old LL Bean hunting boots, they resole as needed (or used too) Birkenstock used to put on new soles too...& my cowboy boots they're due for new soles, as well. I love your channel !!!

In my city here in Sweden I go to my shoe mender, he has helped me with tons of shoes over the years. He uses Vibram soles to. Great tip! 😊❤️🎄

I repair my shoes to the best of my abilities...which are somewhat limited...but I do my best. What those guys are doing is out of this world! Love the orange sole & orange laces. My High School mascot in Rapid City, South Dakota is the Cobblers. Red & white school colors. (I don't know why) 👞👠

Yes.....Apparently they do offer a postal service. Look at their Instagram feed for all the examples of soles that they have added to shoes x
Don't forget! They can clean, polish, dye and mend hand bags too. Worth doing on your expensive leather bags!
The high shine polish on the leather shoes is unbelievable too.
Ask about the leather replacement soles. Better in the long run. They'll last longer

Tree you are a gem! My husband rides motorbikes and as he is getting older he is getting 🤔shorter 😂😂 The issue is motorbikes are not cheap and changing them out having them altered is not an option he wants to make ££££. He recently purchased boots with insoles. Did you see the film Kinky Boots?…. That’s what they are doing! Throwing him off balance because they’ve raised the back and created a ladies high instep. So my darling not only are we going to recycle his boots but it stops him buying more 👏🏻👏🏻😍😍 Great find 😉

There are three places just in the Niagara Region in Southern Ontario that repair/resole shoes. I'm sure other places in Ontario have shoe repair shops as well.
