Were the setting the same for all 3 shoots
Setting for the 2nd and 3rd shot were:

Forgot to share it in the video!
Cheers and keep up the good work 👏
The lighter photo was SICK!!!!
Thanks so much!!! 😵
Just wanna say thank you for all the tips on your channel!! I started toy photography a year ago, and now I decided to start photographing with a camera, and your channel helped me with everything! Thanks once again !
Dude that is awesome!!! Thanks so much for watching the videos and supporting the channel! Good luck shooting!!
Second picture is best, more details are visible. Thanks for the video.
I agree there! Thanks!!
Both are great. I think half way in between would be perfect.
Awesome, thanks for watching!!
Great just what needed excellent job, greetings from Mexico
I really needed this video! Thank you for your efforts ❤️
So glad to hear it! Thanks for watching!!
I agree with the second Version but good job in total! Nice video!
I appreciate it!!
this video is awesome! A world of possibilities opens up to me!! I always wanted to know how a photo could have so many colors. Thanks!
I liked the second one. Nice job Thanks for making it easy to understand.
Both are awesome! I think I prefer the dark one though.
I’m trying to figure out how to achieve a lot of these techniques in Affinity Photo. The first shot had a lot of drastically contrasting elements where the second achieved a balance which is more natural to the eye. Its an issue of creative noise (not artifact noise). Its the same thing that happens in audio with ear fatigue. Enough loudness and or noise duration of aggressive frequencies turns off that part of the brain which processes it. The result is you loose interest. A well balanced approach allows you to fall into the shot easier. It works with the way your brain processes visual information naturally. Now I love my dramatic lighting effects, I think everyone does. However suspension of belief is a real thing in every artistic medium. If it has too many details which push it past belief it seems unnatural. Some people won’t even want to engage with it. The less your mind has to think about it the more you can enjoy what’s there. Always love your content brother!
Hey quick tip that doesn’t have anything to do with using masks for layers lol. You can use the sharp corner (I don’t know the exact name) bracket keys to resize your brush and eraser tool. Helps so you don’t have to go to the advance tool menu all the time to resize the brush.
Ah yes!! This is the shortcut I need!! Thanks val!!!
Dude this is the tutorial I’ve been waiting for! This is great! And I’m personally a fan of the dark photo better.
Thanks so much dude!! Got the idea from the stream the other night! 😆
@@sirdork730 Your channel has been w giant inspiration to me to become creative again. I felt like my job working in a kitchen took away my creativity from jus working all the time to pay bills but you give me a new opportunity to try something to get into again. It is saving my life getting into this type of photography thank you. You make me want to go back to school for editing again.
11:33 If you cut your fingures out of the frame! That photo shot would make a cool poster to hang on the wall!
Never thought of that! So glad you think so! 😆
This is soooo helpful thank you so much!!
Thanks so much for watching!!
I really LOVE the darker one.
Awesome!! Thanks dude!!
Im learning a lot watching your videos, i have a lot of toys and soon will get a camera to start toy photography, thank you for inspiring me, your work is awesome, i like more the Lighter photo, both are great
I love you work
Thanks dude!
Great tutorial, gunna try these tips.think i liked the 2nd pic better, but was a hard choice to make as they were both awesome 👍
I appreciate that!!! Thanks for watching!!
This is what I want it to know thanks bro grade work as always
Finally, a video on layering/combining that's simple to follow. I really needed this video. Thanks Jared!
Thank u for the helpful tips .
Dude! Thanks for these helpful videos. I just did one using these steps. It was perfect!
Tanks you very mutch 🙏
The lighter one is better posed I think, but with regards to the darkness, both have a feel that I like. Thanks for posting.
Thanks so much dude!!
Muy bueno tutorial , fotos impresionantes, me encantan las fotografías , me he suscrito ahora mismo, gracias por tu contenido, a propósito la foto final de la derecha con mas luminosidad me gusta mas. Saludos desde España
Hi Jared, thanks so much for this video. You made this a much simpler process. Definitely like the lighter one better!
Thank you so much!! So glad you think so!
Absolutely loved this video, I prefer the lighter photo but both are still really good 👍
Thanks so much for watching!!!
Gracias bro
I love this tutorial. I prefer the lighter photo
Cool process. Normally I would go with layer masking for the blending but whatever gets the job done.
Tough choice for the final Jango shot. I like the explosions better on the darker one. But Jango looks really good on the lighter one. Either way, awesome shots! 👌
I appreciate the feedback!! Whatever gets the job done 😂 thanks so much!
I really need to have a go at this one day. The program i use Affinity Photo seems to have this option. I've just never tried it.
Definitely worth giving it a shot! Opens up a whole new world! Thanks for watching man!
Thank you for making this video it helped so much, how much is the photoshop subscription because it looks so good for editing photos and I wanna get into figure photography. I’ve taken a bunch of photos before and I’m pretty proud of most of them but they are no where near this level
Awesome video! Thank you for all the time you put in helping others learn. How did you brighten the Pokémon’s eyes and claws
Thanks so much Curtis! I’m using the dodge tool to lighten things up 😆
nice video!
Thanks for watching!!
Interesting video as always! This is exactly how I work with a small difference 😉 I use layer masks rather than eraser
Thanks dude!! Ah yes!! I am told to use masks by many very often 😂😂
@@sirdork730 You are used to working your way 😉
I use the same method as you @superonemore151
But both methods works, love the video anyway Jared! 😀👍👍
I'm preferring the lighter pic. It helps explain the environment Jango is in, and adds depth to the scene
I agree with ya😆 thanks for watching!!
Where do you get the black cat cracker balls? Can't find them to order online anywhere. Thanks!
Maybe you can do you like FNF pictures
Wait! @7:50 how are those pics coming out so dark, when it looks like you have enough lighting?
That is my bad! 😂 I recorded BTS footage at a few different times of day. This photoshoot initially lasted from end-day into the night 😂
How would you handle if you needed to change camera settings between shots but same positioning? Or if you want to have various figures in the picture be in focus (focus stacking)?
I usually try to keep my settings the same actually, but if you do, try your best to mimic the same brightness in each photo. Then if they don’t blend well, try adjusting the brightness of the other layers using the “curves”.
For focus stacking (I need to make a video on this 😂) almost all of the same things apply, just do your best to cut/paste everything where it needs to be!
#grownassmentoyz !!
I need to know more about this hashtag! 😂
Were all of the jango shots made during the day? Curious how you got the shots of him and the fire with everything else dark?
They were taken towards the end of the day! With my shutter speed cranked to its highest, it made the photo come out much darker 😁
@@sirdork730 that’s what I assumed. So the firework was just bright enough even though the shutter speed was cranked. I assume the most clear pictures of Jango were just with a different shutter speed? I want to practice something like this.
Is there any free software I can use instead of paying for Photoshop to later the photos mate?
Light one looks better I think.
Thanks a lot!
Hey Jared how would you do a dark saber ? Would it be the same as light sabers just start with a black color and give it white Gaussian blur
Love the video btw
Hey dude! I’m so glad you asked 😉
I dropped a dark saber tutorial a couple weeks ago! Here is the link!

The lighter pic pops.
