I miss this sound from these guys, in fact I was a HUGE freaking fan back in those days and I bought everything from them, limited edition, signed copies, tshirt... And then they went into more technical and polished stuff, and to me they lost it. Their first three albums were masterpieces, the fourth was good but you could already see they were heading toward a different path. Guitars were more into doing technical stuff, the rawness of the vocalist disappeared...but I loved it, it made then so unique! I was blown away when I discovered InMe because the vocals were like bleeding out of emotions, the intensity of it was piercing my soul. The basslines were also fire, the drums were very unique & technical... I'm sad but hey, life goes on!
I've seen these guys 6 times live. The first time was when I was 17 at the Manchester Academy 2. Most recently 12 months ago in Bolton at the Alma Inn. I'm now 32. There's a reason why I've been a follower this long and rather than me explain why, just listen...
Christ this makes me feel old, I was only 16/17 when this was released and just starting college, loved it then and love it now where have those 13 years gone to? they've absolutely flown by. InMe and Fightstar are Britain's most underrated bands FACT! Overgrown Eden was a fantastic debut album full of angsty post-grunge vibes and Alternative-Metal riffing and it has stood the test of time really well, and InMe have only got better and better ever since going more Progressive and technical and Dave McPherson's solo acoustic stuff is also very very good. I'm also proud to say that they're a local band to where I live who've had a reasonable degree of success and who fly the flag well for the uncommercial Alternative-Rock scene :-)
i saw them live with serj in glasgow... first song was cracking the whip...from the first note of that song i was hooked on these guys... one of my fav bands ever...
Its astounding how far this band have come since these days Thier new material is nothing short of amazing, ridiculously technical, melodic and more honest than this buy the new album!
I remember seeing inme at the Manchester road house just before overgrown Eden came out. A fair portion of the very low plastic tiled ceiling caved in when someone tried to crowd surf. The band even gave us a few beers outside afterwards, while they were loading their equipment in to the van.
i remember this song when i was like 7 (im 15 now) and i loved it back then and coming back to them now... this is once again my favourite song, as well as myths and photographs, mosaic, just a glimpse, raindrops on stones, 7 weeks and faster the chase. truely amazing band!!!
They still going! If you havent heard anything off Daydream Anonymous I would recomend searching it on here or pickin up the album! Its well worth a listen!
I just became fan of InMe ;P. I didn´t know them, but I were on a concert of THE RASMUS (my absolutly favourite band ;)) and there was also InMe. Who likes both: LIKE !
it has to be said, but this is a brilliant starting song for inme, i have and always will love inme, the music the lyrics the meanings behind there songs, u just dnt find bands like this.
This song is like InMe at their unadulterated best. I love their older stuff, it's a lot more raw and natural, like a stupidly talented amateur band playing in their garage just for the hell of it. Their later stuff is still good, a lot more mellow and mature but without the oomph of their earlier stuff.
I've been looking for this song for ages but I couldn't remember the name of the band or song so I thought il just go to kerrang early 2000s list and found it. Its still as good as it was back in the days lol. Thanks for the upload
I agree. I heard them for the first time on their live CD and thought that they are totally amazing, and I had to hear all their music. Overgrown Eden is the best!
@loganbiffy I miss how MTV 2 used to be also. Now it's just like the Smash Hits channel but with more teeny boppers and the metal music shows feature bands that look the "High School Musical" mask in Kiss make-up applied by a blind hair and beauty student whose hands were bitten off by a tiger. I also miss 120 Minutes, this music video has triggered off alot of happy memories.
Greg more than fills the void that was left by Joe. You should try and get to see them sometime, they've re-crafted the old songs brilliantly with Greg & Ben. Honestly think that now-days they sound better live than they used too.
InMe were the first band i ever saw live, when i was 13 and overgrown eden had just come out. They almost hit the big time with White Butterfly, even had the dvd out n stuff, then all the so called fans didnt really wona know any more, WTF!!! stopped going to shows and the last 2 albums did not do as well as they fukin should, lets get them the support they deserve and go out and buy the newest album Herald Moth, get them back on the festival circuit and show some real support! a true InMe fan x
omg i love this band more than life ;) they are so shit hot, the new stuff is as good. it all is (bar a certain song on WB....) this video was the precursor to me becoming who i am. i saw this and knew exactly what being in a band meant :D
hey guys can u help me out. do inme have a new album out? i have 'white butterfly' but would love to follow them up with a new cd. i'm from oz and inme are totally unknown here :(
i can understand where u come from unfortunatly im 1 of them peeps wo are quick to judge pus the fact im 1 of them stuck in the early 90's/2000's i think majority of bands nower days are trying to fit into this new sound and thts what the new album sounds like to me
@stevegrierson Muse was 4 years prior to this. They sound VERY different. If anything, Muse were an original copy of Radiohead. I'd say Dave Mcphersons clean voice has more in common with Thom Yorke of Radiohead than Matt Bellamy. This was not a 'ploy' from record companies, InMe have had huge problems with record companies over the years and were on their own label for ages. They were some kids capturing their teenage angst. Deal with it.
love this song =D, InMe's older stuff is much better than the new stuff, not fair they are playin here in november but i'll be at college in bicton so doubt i cud go :(
I'm sorry, but you saying they can't produce powerful lyrics made me want to tell you to look at the lyrics for 'In loving memory' cause to me, they're extremely powerful. And the insrumental aspect of the song is also amazing. In this discussion, as you put it, you've totally ignored daydream anonymous and the fact that the lyrics on there are almsot all amazing.
I never said InMe was a boy band, they freaking rock! Dave is talented, as is the rest of the lineup. I was referring to groups like Backstreet Boys and NSync.

Good old 2003... kerrang tv, weed, sneaking into rock clubs, and the final seasons of star trek voyager.
and tony hawks lol
PathofCultivation I probably was your girlfriend then! Ha!
Weed still exists
You say that as if it were anyone else’s experience of 2003? It sounds very subjective.
I don't know... I had to check that I hadn't wrote it two years ago
still remember the first time I saw this on kerrang in like 2003. I had just started college, makes me really miss those days :(
I've seen these guys 6 times live. The first time was when I was 17 at the Manchester Academy 2. Most recently 12 months ago in Bolton at the Alma Inn. I'm now 32. There's a reason why I've been a follower this long and rather than me explain why, just listen...

+Adam Knight same here :P

+Ripps Black you did that
?.... That's awesome dude, lucky you!
+Adam Knight I wish I still had my signed copy, it'd still be worth nothing but bragging rights :)
I found my doppelganger! Lived in Upminster at the time, 31 now and this is still a banger.
+Anthony Hughes I'm from Upminster too
i saw them live with serj in glasgow... first song was cracking the whip...from the first note of that song i was hooked on these guys... one of my fav bands ever...
Its astounding how far this band have come since these days
Thier new material is nothing short of amazing, ridiculously technical, melodic and more honest than this
buy the new album!
I love this song.
I never realised how much they had actually changed.
Still an amazing band!
Brilliant song remember it seemed like forever for their first album to come out an it was such a good album
Yeah i'll see if i can go see them next time they come up to Scotland. I'm liking the new guitar-man they got too.

Ive seen them alot of times in sheffield.
they are awesome!
this is still one of my all time favourite music videos. So much energy, great work.
Love INME! Saw them live "before they were famous" kind of thing in Plymouth supported by Exit Ten (Shite) and my mate Ross's band S.L.O.T
Christ i used to love this band back in the day, just found their single from years ago in a box, forgot how awesome they were.
man it's only watching it now a few years later i really realize just HOW good they are, man I'm looking forward to the next album :)
They still going! If you havent heard anything off Daydream Anonymous I would recomend searching it on here or pickin up the album! Its well worth a listen!
I have seen them live too - theyre so awesome live! Met Dave, he's a nice guy, although abit nervous.
Still love this band
I just became fan of InMe ;P. I didn´t know them, but I were on a concert of THE RASMUS (my absolutly favourite band ;)) and there was also InMe.

I can't believe this song is almost 10 years old!!! Not my first dose of InMe (that was Firefly) but it still packs a punch live!
Inme are brilliant
Truley amazing And the song chaber is great
If you don't like Muse fair enough but you can't deny that they are talented. They use so many styles of music and the lyrics...well, wow.
This is the only InMe song I really like
Thanks for posting it!
good god this takes me back, classic.
My first proper live band - Folkstone! Terrific!
love this song, such an awesome start, must get their latest album
I agree. I heard them for the first time on their live CD and thought that they are totally amazing, and I had to hear all their music. Overgrown Eden is the best!
So glad I've discovered this band
I saw them on friday, guitarist still has a broken arm but he was there, brilliant gig and they were brilliant as a 3 piece
6 years later, and the song STILL kicks ass

i was at one of their gigs only about 4 days ago!
Just reminded me of when petrol was lower than a £1

his scream moments sound so great.
Greg more than fills the void that was left by Joe. You should try and get to see them sometime, they've re-crafted the old songs brilliantly with Greg & Ben.
Honestly think that now-days they sound better live than they used too.

I feel very well miss the season when I heard this song first! I heard it in 2005!
InMe were the first band i ever saw live, when i was 13 and overgrown eden had just come out. In this discussion, as you put it, you've totally ignored daydream anonymous and the fact that the lyrics on there are almsot all amazing.

Wow, when did MTV play music? Oh yeah...I remember now, good ol' days!

Wow memories. Haha the video ends with Craig Mack, so random R.I.P.
