After she and Miller divorced, she checked in to the hospital to get off sleeping pills and they put her in the psych ward where she realized she was NOT crazy or mentally ill like her mother which she feared for so long. DiMaggio rescued her from the mental ward and they, according to her housekeeper, were living together, though not full-time, at the time of her death. Others report that they were planning to re-marry. Her housekeeper, not Eunice, reported that Joe DiMaggio was her true love and she would pull his picture out of her cupboard and sing love songs to him. She made Joe agree that they would forever be lovers, though she would be free to see other people. Other reports say that Bobby Kennedy ordered her death due to her stating she was going to hold a press conference and tell everyone what the Kennedy brothers were really like. There are many, many errors in this video and it was poorly researched, though they had great images. I just hate when people report information on Marilyn that is wrong or completely untrue. She was and is special. Considering it is nearly 60 years since her death!

She did not have the career she deserved. She had the potential to be a drama actress as well. There's a glimpse of it in the Misfits. Those stupid producers did not use her full potential. That's why she was perceived as the dumb blonde. In reality, she was sensitive and deep who fought for the civil rights.
Disliking is for inaccuracies - accepted with dignity by the producer - not for the focus on Norma Jean-Marilyn. The overall tone of this video is gratifyingly respectful, not always the case with programs about sex symbols.
The last name on her birth certificate was Mortenson. She was not the first "Hollywood Blonde Bombshell" ,only the "blonde bombshell" of her generation of glamorous blonde Hollywood movie stars. The original blonde bombshell was Jean Harlow who beat out Mae West by only a couple of years working in the movie industry.
Will the mystery surrounding Marilyn’s death ever be solved??? I don’t know but her death is controversial with different opinions and accounts on how she died. It is a mystery, especially with her involvement with the Kennedy’s brothers and knowing lots of things about the Kennedys and threatening to go public to tell who the Kennedys really were, could have put her in a dangerous situation. I wouldn’t doubt it if Marilyn was murdered, not at all. And suicide??? Why would she commit suicide??? Lots of questions without an answer. Too bad she died the way she did, so sad and tragic. Marilyn was indeed a very gorgeous woman and very smart who, in my opinion, was a “victim” of Hollywood and the Kennedys. Marilyn will never be forgotten and as many other beautiful actresses, her legend will live forever. May God bless her soul always.
