1/2 Day Trip, Western Pride (deep sea fishing)

1/2 day trip out of Davey's Locker targeting sculpin/rockfish. On our first stop we fished for sculpin and the bite was pretty good. I'm pretty sure that everyone hit their limit of sculpin at the first stop. The second stop was much slower than the first. The staff was great and very helpful. Double dropper loop rig with an 8-10oz sinker and 2 (3/4 ounce) weighted hooks with a red soft plastic & squid.

Delicious fish but if you get pricked, you’ll be in for some pain. If that does happen, it’s best to be prepared and bring a hot compress to apply it to the affected area. Tight lines brother! 🤙🎣

Just went out on this boat with my son last week. We rented poles and purchased the tackle they offer. Both of us caught about a dozen each. We got to keep 5 each. Great experience for our first time fishing. I spent about $200. For a 6 hour trip food, gear and tips for the crew. We’re going to be doing this two three times every summer now. We’re going to get our own fishing gear today.
