Ikr! Absolutely love this idea. Maybelline, Lakme, L'oreal Paris, Faces Canada, M.A.C etc have so many similar shades across ranges. It'll be really helpful if she continues this series!

I think SUGAR has a lot of the same shades in diff ranges. Definitely a lot of repetitions. Would love to see more of these videos with other brands.

This is a great concept. It's like from a brand we can get our best at a lesser cost. Plus these brands also confuse us to a very great extent and this ends up doling out our lot of money.

Nykaa has been fooling us…we need more UA-camrs like you to reveal the capitalism and unhealthy consumerism that Nykaa is trying to propagate.
I don't think it would be calling it as FOOLING.
They literally have different finishes.
@@aadtie5633 and different finishes can be obtained by different easy methods…Shreya literally mentions that at the start of the video. Powder for matte, gloss for creamy.
By creating same shades under different shade ranges, what Nykaa and many other brands like Maybelline do is promote people to buy the same thing for higher prices and in multiple quantities. If this isn’t toxic consumerism , then I don’t know what is.

If I want glossy lipstick, I buy glossy lipstick. I don't buy matte lipstick and separately carry a gloss or vaseline to make it look like creme.
I have seen none of my friends or colleague do that.
Only a fraction might have the energy or dedication to do that.
If I want matte lipstick, I won't buy a creamy one and powder it down or use tissue every single time.
Come on.. let's be practical.
Might happen that once a year I feel like making my matte lipstick glossy and would use a lipbalm for that but then it's a rare occasion. 🤷🏻♀️

Making same colours in different packaging and different finish and different ingredients isn't wrong.
I have Mona Lisa and it's dupe Naughty Nude both,. While I am obsessed with Mona Lisa and almost done with the lipstick,.. Naughty Nude has been barely touched in 2 years. Have only tried it on at home maybe thrice.
I am never going to use Mona Lisa's dupe Naughty Nude... I would rather repurchase Mona Lisa because the finish, the feel and everything is supreme than Naughty Nude in every sense.
As much as I love Mona Lisa, I hate it's dupe.
You need to understand that same colours in different finishes isn't "unhealthy" or "wrong".
We all have preferences and not everyone is up for DIY with products. I appreciate having options in different finishes.
