    Does it matter gas pipe 1/2 or 3/4 inch ?

    • @100plumbing
      @100plumbing  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, it does. The unit requires a certain gas flow which 1/2' cannot supply in most cases. It also depends on the unit size.

    You welded a few points and then crimped a few, Why not crimp all joints?

    • @100plumbing
      @100plumbing  5 років тому +1

      It comes down to access & pipe quality, the crimped fittings can only work with clean pipe and enough room. So in the cases where the quality of the pipe or the length of pipe exiting a wall isn't long enough, we usually revert back to welding.

    You obviously have a press tool, why not use a pressed valve kit?

    • @100plumbing
      @100plumbing  3 роки тому

      Flared valve kit: $31.59
      Pressed valve kit: $112.93

    • @vzgsxr
      @vzgsxr 3 роки тому

      $112.93 that's my exact price form Reece also.
      I grabbed a press valve kit on my mates account the other day. He gets the exact same kit for $83, BASTARD!
      We both need to hit Reece up for better rates 😂

    • @100plumbing
      @100plumbing  3 роки тому

      @@vzgsxr Agreed, There is no benefit in my opinion for the press kit unless they can match. $83 is still way too much.

      @@100plumbing hey bro thanks for that. does this tool work just like a Powder Actuated Fastening Tool? like a ramset HammerShot? but without the powder coated actuator? like can i use this tool to hammer in the heavy duty nails directly into concrete walls without hammer drilling a hole into concrete? bro if this tool does just that, i will be running as fast as Usain bolt to the store to get one. or is this for hammering in the nail into the nail in plug after hammer drilling a pilot hole into the brick wall?

    • @100plumbing
      @100plumbing  3 роки тому +1

      @@chrisirtem6241 No this one is just designed for manual hammer, it just makes tight spaces more accessible that's basically it. I only use it when it's hard to access a location.

      @@100plumbing thank you for replying in with in minutes. im impressed. thats gold! i will purchase one any way. this is a must have tool for when installing conduits onto exterior walls. i am an antenna/intercom/sat/pay tv specialist and i know this tool is going to help me when i get into tight spots. thanks to you i just found out what this ramset hammer shot device does. amazing device. you can drive nails straight into concrete without hammer drilling. i wonder, if i buy this set, will that actually save more time. no more hammer drilling! mate it might even be a good idea for you. you can just use that tool and not having to hammer drill any more when installing the hot water device and the pipes. but the question is, will the nail hold in place securely permanently? im arguing with myself this possibility because there will be no nail in plug surrounding the nail itself. as the plug then expands forming a very strong bond. i need to verify this before going ahead. thanks buddy :)

      @@100plumbing Thanks mate. Posted that whilst in an initial state of frustration about having a Rinnai B16 here and no hot water. Not that matters a great deal here on Capricorn Coast as middle of May and still 20 deg min.
      So brought it new ages ago thinking could retrofit in place of gas HWS cylinder, only to now see has half inch gas inlet on Rinnai. So was hoping to find video on LPG install telling me that worked on higher pressure, so could get away with say, two meter length of correct diameter.
      But all is not lost, as also now realise have option of moving gas bottles from one side of highset house to other, closer to the plumbing side of things.
      Keep up the good work, thanks for taking time to reply and time to chase up a local plumber if not out fishing, haha.

      @@tatko3366, In some cases a smaller line will work over a short distance with a 16 only, but anything over a couple of m's it becomes an issue.
      LPG runs off a consistent pressure from the bottles so you could actually run a dual stage system which would make the entire system a higher pressure but then you would need to put a second stage regulator at any appliances anyway & that would be costly.
      Changing bottle location is likely your best move here.
