Oh my God. Watching this is like living through my PS3 days. I remember that I was so bored with all of the games that I was playing that I was trying to find something to play, so I bought Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction, and I loved every second of it. And then after that, I bought Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time, and what a ride. I had so much fun playing it that I didn't want to stop, except when I beat Dr. Nefarious and didn't want to go scrounging the galaxy looking for the Zoni, and the RYNO parts. However, I gave in to temptation and just decided to hell with it. I went after the Zoni and the RYNO parts, and had the last battle with what's-his-name, the octopus guy in the helmet, and it was so much fun. Oh, I'm so happy there's an actual sequel coming in Rift Apart for the PS5. Also, something I really admire about this game is the way the creators developed a kind of father/son relationship between Alister and Ratchet. Being the only other Lombax that Ratchet has ever met, and also Kaden's closest friend, Alister was the only person who could really understand Ratchet's feelings about the fate of the Lombaxes. And, it was really touching to see the character development between the two of them and how close they bonded, which is why it was also really sad to see Alister fall to desperation and the temptation to reclaim what he lost by bringing back his friends, and in a way, get the redemption he was hoping for.
Savage_Mode.21 Sadly, Insomniac answered someone's question (I forgot who it was) and it seems that they won't be bringing any Ratchet and Clank game over to PS4. Instead we have to stick with that crap reboot

I know this video is old as hell but the way you played the game irritated me. You didn’t know how to throw the wrench or use the gadgets. You also left a lot of stuff behind like Zonis and bolts. You used your ammo on crates. You didn’t know how to use like half the weps. You and Clank oh boy... the puzzles weren’t even hard and you seemed to struggle on them. I’d like to see you try the ”secret” ones. However I really appreciate the effort. You gave me a reason to re enjoy this game and I’m playing it through rn. Love from Finland

Ratchet and Clank is my favourite childhood game and I’ve played every one in the series. A Crack in Time especially is my favourite and binging this play through brought back so many memories. It’s been so long but damn I remember everything like yesterday.
Ratchet is so mature in this game it’s perfect character development and now it’s ruined wtf His character design is flawless he’s like he actually looks he’s age an adult He is aware of the universe because he’s done this so many times And his dialogue makes sense plus his suit is the best one especially when it’s equipped with the hover boots

I'm playing through all the ratchet and clank games in order according to the release date of each game from the ps3, ps4, and ps5. So far, I've enjoyed most of them quite a lot. I'm grateful I kept my ps3 around after so many years because otherwise, i probably wouldn't even consider getting one to play any of the ratchet and clank games. The only Ratchet & Clank game I ever had back then(right now I own the remake for PS4, haven't really started it yet, though)--a game I didn't even ask for, and like many games I had back then, were legends and I didn't even know it until years later--and I never even got a chance to beat it because my disc got messed up and my save file got corrupted, and I didn't feel like restarting it because I was already 50+ hours of playtime into it and over 60% finished with the main story. THIS was a GAME. So many things to do and experience to the point that you didn't even remember that it was a single-player game. I wish I had just restarted it. I hope they at least remaster it for the PS5 if this isn't one of the games for it that will be backwards-compatible.

I can't help but hear a bit of Mario in Orvus's voice. Maybe it's just because I know how Charles Martinet sounds like outside of just the red-capped plumber, but I still hear that tiny shred of Mario's voice when Orvus is speaking.

This was my favorite of the PS3 R&C anthology. Maybe it's just me, but why couldn't the later games duplicate this game's controls and mechanics? What I mean is, it seems like Ratchet isn't as fluent with attacks as before and now when shooting at enemies you now have to tilt the camera up or down to aim the on-screen cursor at your targets. I also don't like how Ratchet gets knocked down (rather than knocked back), and you have to wait a second for him to get back up again. This has been the norm since Into the Nexus, so did a different team help develop the later games?
