- All roads lead to this. Breaking Bad and the legend of Heisenberg comes to an insane and violent close in season 5. In one of the most epic and satisfying conclusions to a series that I've ever seen, we will all remember his name.

I look at season 5 like this:
5A: The fifth season.
5B: The final season.
Together: The Fifth and Final Season.
Breaking Bad 5 and Jessie
I thought the M60 in the trunk of the car riddling the whole gang was.. the idea was OUTSTANDING. Couldn't believe what I was seeing.
That scene made me jump off the couch and pump my fist.
I was so shocked when Mythbusters tried it out... and it worked!!
When season 4 ended with Fring's death, I was like: well, this must be the end of it, how could this ever be topped? why another season? I just never imagined that Season 5 would be by far the greatest TV show I've ever seen in my life.
By season 4 he reach national level drug dealing but in season 5 he reaches international level pablo Escobar level.
@@starship3812 Wrong, he never reached that level. By the end of Season 4 he was just a successful meth cook, not a drug lord. By the end of Season 5A he was the Albuquerque kingpin and had international business, but he never reached Escobar level, like not even close.
By the end of the show he was just a man on the run with nothing to lose anymore
@@Johnnysmithy24oh bull crap did you even watch the show?
For some reason, the more evil Walt became, the more I rooted for him. The only time I hated him was when he killed Mike.
Same
Wanted Mike to escape, what a great character
Agreed everytime cody said, this is the point you lose faith in walt, and im just thinking am i a psycho for always backing walt lol
Also same when he killed mike
Killing Mike and poisoning Brock were evil, but giving that fake confession to Hank was where I was like “Walt! You lying son of a bitch!”.
"Just because you shot Jesse James, don't make you Jesse James." - Mike Ehrmentraut
JESSE!!
I wish I had a friend like you who shared my passion for good television, especially Breaking Bad. Whenever I wanna talk about it people are like "Yeah, dude, it was good, but it's just a show, relax".
Same man.

@@Tetfima guess he doesn’t
Well it's his loss I had a breaking bad welcome meme saved on my computer for a year now and he'll never see it. at least not in a welcoming context 😒
As I said before, it doesn’t matter how long the wait is, a video from this channel is worth the wait.
Meh. His reviews are not always that great. Definitely a lot better than the shill channels like Chris Stuckman and shill channels with high subscriber counts, which is often a tell tale sign.
It's an excellent synopsis.
My favorite three moments were seeing Jesse take out Todd
The moment we're Jesse refused to shoot Walt showing he's truly free from Walt's manipulation
And the look on Jesse's face as he drives away
They did Jesse dirty. He was always a good kid.
Jesse was the only 1 that survived *BREAKING BAD!*
Now onto *EL CAMINO!*
The scene with badger and skinny with the laser pens was pure genius. Imo Aaron Paul's best scene was his semi confession at rehab. Superb
My favorite Aaron Paul scene is the "he can't keep getting away with it" scene
This shit broke my heart. I really wish Walt could have made amends with his son.
Ozymandias bro. It’s a poem (also the episode in breaking bad) the poems about this guy who has power but the moral is power doesn’t last forever which relates to Walt. Once that power is gone, he’ll have no one. Such a goated series
We just finished the show last night. This season was insane. Hank dying was the saddest part for me, along with mike and watching Jesse get dragged away through the desert. Gave me chills. Great video man.
I love when jesse called walt the devil, really shows how he sees's grown to see walt
Some of the hardest parts of the second half of season 5 is all the times Walt just lies in Flynn’s face.
Every episode just gaslighting him.
Just finished the series and WOW THAT FINALE. Also what you were were saying about The Grey Matter story.... I got the idea that Gretchen left Walt for Elliot after their falling out which is why he sold and share and left, because his pride wouldn’t let him work with them two afterwards despite the company’s potential. Great review tho 👍🏽
30:08 He actually goes for his weed. Realizes that Huel took it, then things back to the cigarette and that huel really did take that too and that's when he puts two and two together
Usually an hour long video of just a guy talking gets boring but you never made me feel bored. Each one of these videos were phenomenal. Love your channel i joined a couple of months ago and have loved it keep it up ❤️
Thanks man
Eh Cody my dad gave me the complete series of Breaking Bad on blue-rey as a graduation present.
Abram Sullivan
You have a good Dad
@@casualagent7250 yes I do
Wow. Such a great Dad you have.
Great dad
The end of my favourite show of all time. Perfect ending.
When Jesse was chocking Todd I was like “YEAHHH!!! GET EM JESSE GET EM!!!!” I went absolutely nuts. Such a great show..
The moment Hank confronts Walt with his knowledge of the truth is reminiscent of Michael confronting Fredo in Godfather II: "I know it was you." (And with the same level of devastation and disbelief.)
Cant believe it took me almost 10 years to watch this show. I loved it.
I am also late to the game and it was fantastic😃
Didn’t know you where a fan of the shield that show was incredible
One of my favorite scenes and I feel most underrated in the season, is when Gretchen and Elliot are on TV saying that Walter had no contribution to their company other than the name Greymatter. That main theme some starts to build to reveal he’s not finished yet. Fucking awesome!
You can tell how much you love this series, man. The stuff where he was seeing his children always got to me too. As a dad, it would tear me apart knowing that I'd never see my kids again.
37 minutes in I got the pop corn feel like I’m re living this final season this is great
Between this one and season 4 it's hard to pick which one's my favorite but excellent season and finale. Just when you think they couldn't raise the intensity anymore they raise it by several notches. So many pivotal and heart wrenching moments on top of a detailed and layered series just excellent television.
It was a tough decision but I think after watching all the episodes my favourite character has to be Jessie. I am delighted that he gets through all of the tragedy he suffers. I will be back to watch your next review after I see the Breaking Bad movie.
might very well be your best work yet, almost wanna watch season 5 again after this emotional review.
Thanks a lot
@@CodyLeachYT
Cody, great review from this great series man! Just finished last night and *HOLY SHIT!!!!*
One thing you forget to mention how Walter got his revenge on Lydia by slippin the Rison in her tea at the diner.
I really wanted her dead too so was satisfied by that.
Imo, i still think 6Feet Under had the best ending to a series. I watched that last episode over and over and i still get emotional.
So thats 1A for me.
Breaking Bad is def 1B
Shame they dont make series like this anymore.
Good job as always
“he can’t keep getting away with it!!!!!!”
Myth Busters tested that machine gun scene from Felina (among other science-related scenes from the show; they did an entire BB episode), and it really could have worked.
I wasn't a big Walt fan until I met Bryan Cranston in person. He was the friendliest, funniest, kindest celebrity I have ever met. After that, I can't help but LOVE Walter White!
I really love Season 5A, because Walter for a time is the most evil villain on the show. It's such a "Where do we go from here?" after Gus, and it's handled so well. That said, Granite State is my favorite episode of the whole series. I know people usually praise the two episodes surrounding it, and they're great, but Walt alone and cold in that cabin is the fate he deserved.
I love that episode too, especially because of the ending. Walt giving that "oh hell no" look to the camera with the Breaking Bad theme playing is amazing.
Love that episode.U felt walts pain after realizing it was all for nothing
I suddenly need a review of either The Shield or Son's Of Anarchy
I did it for me... I liked it. I was good at it. And I was really... I was alive.
You did a great service to us breaking bad fans with these reviews. Thank you for taking the time to really dig into the series!!
That ad placement for the boy getting shot is very respectful.
An hour long Cody Leach video on Breaking Bad? HELL FUCKING YEAH!!!!
What a perfect finale wouldn’t change a thing. Take notes Game of Thrones
The only flaw I can find in the entire series. Is with Skyler in the earlier seasons. I feel like if they toned down the bitchiness just a hair. It would have made those scenes less annoying to watch. Its understandable that she reacted negatively to the lies she was being told. However I think it was overdone just a tad.
That's the harshest criticism I can come up with
It's not really a flaw imo. If she annoyed you it probably means you reacted as intended
Btw, just bcoz the character is supposed to be in such a way doesn't mean it has to annoy / frustrate the audience. For example King Joffrey from GoT was meant to be an insufferable piece of shit, yet I'm still enjoying the scenes he's in, even on rewatch
@@vario6492 the only reason she was annoying was because you were supposed to side with Walt. The voice of reason was the enemy. As seen through Walt's eyes.
I really don’t see how you can think that unless you only see the show show Walt’s pov. Walt wasn’t a good husband and the earlier seasons she needed him most bc of the pregnancy
Agreed, great ending to the best TV show of all time!! Now onto El Camino bitches!!! Awesome review son.
Thanks dad. Agreed!
I loved every moment of Breaking Bad i started it just as it hit that final half so had to wait but i think it was definitely better having to wait, made all that tension for the final part even better, and El Camino is awesome so👌
Tbh,This was probably the best final season of a tv show ever.
The resolve between Walt and Jesse is great. Also I don’t know if u noticed but Walt calls Lydia in front of Jesse to show him that he at LEAST didn’t use the ricin on Brock.
Thought Lydia called Todd and Walt just answered it? Maybe I need to re-watch but I'm sure I remember the phone ringing before Walt answered it...
It’s fucking flawless. It’s beyond perfect. I cannot picture another show toppling BB. Badass, amazing characters, funny, dark. It’s fucking PERFEct.
What a great song! I'll never forget that song, and the finale tie in.
My reaction was the exact same
At the end of To'hajiile episode
My eyes were glued and I was leaning as far forward as I could get lol
I have thoroughly enjoyed rewatching the series with your recaps between each season!
Just watched this show for the first time and I was so satisfied that this stuck the landing. Perfect ending that made the whole show feel worth it.
Enjoy your recap / reviews very much. Thanks for all your work. Cheers
I loved how they incorporated the song El Passo and as soon as that played I knew exactly what was about to go down and it was so cool. Then they work that song into the title of the episode. So cool.
These videos made my week . Im rewatching the series for 10th or 12th time now. Truly in my top five favorite shows of all time next .
What they did with Walt in Breaking Bad was what they should have done with Dexter. Had him start out as a morally ambiguous character who sometimes does good things and sometimes does evil things but Dexter slowly becomes consumed by his killing urges and becomes more evil. And in early seasons they did do that where even though Dexter killed evil people who deserved it he also did horrible shit like trying to frame Doakes as the Bay Harbour Butcher, tampering with evidence to let certain criminals go free so he could kill them even though he was only supposed to go after criminals that got let off, not letting Trinity kill himself because he wanted to be the one to kill him which eventually leads to Rita's death and so on. But in later seasons the writing got worse and they started portraying Dexter as some kind of superhero whose every action was justified even though that was never his character.
Started watching it again for the 4th time now, I like to keep a few months between each viewing so I don’t spoil the show, watching it again just solidifies the fact that this is one of the few perfect things in life
Thank you for cranking these videos out every day and powering through this tv series I loved every review. I have a great idea it will be tough as hell but if your a fan of Supernatural with there final season happening now how about doing a series review maybe starting in December or January ik I would absolutely love it again love the content man cant wait for 31 on 31
One of the best if not the best tv show ending ever! (Take notes GOT)
Superb review Cody for a superb finale season! I haven’t seen it since it ended in 2013, listening to these reviews makes me realise how many perspectives there are to this show, I need to rewatch to see how I’d feel about all the different parts now
Granite State. He's in New Hampshire. Colorado is the Centennial State
The Ozymandias poem by Percy B. Shelly is the single best poem every
ummmm.... Robert Frost's poems are better
I've been re watching BB leading up to el camino and watching these vids. Looking forward to Better Call Saul review if you decide before season 5
Greatest show ever.!!!!
Great review cody, best season is S5, best episode, Ozymandias. Can't believe Rian Johnson directed it. Lol.
Season 5 is easily my favorite season of Breaking Bad.
The season where every remaining Bald person is ended.
This is such a under rated chanel, I love all your videos💯💯 keep it up
I want to see El Camino but I am apprehensive I'm sure it's going to be great but some questions are better left unanswered
I hear ya
Its awesome bro..just watched it and really enjoyed it ... Just dont understand how "Gemini Man" can make will smith look like fresh Prince...but we cant take any LBs off of Todd lol
It is difficult to find a show where very season is consistently good and sometimes better than previous seasons.
Best reviews I've ever seen in your channel. Your emotions emotes with delight and had me revisit Breaking Bad. Thank you. 🕴
Jesse choking the life out of Todd is one the most satisfying moments in all of television history especially after watching El Camino.
26:34 That wasn't very nice. That's his own brother in law. They were dear friends.
43:07 NEW HAMPSHIRE
43:07 he's in New Hampshire, aka the "granite state"!
8:32 lmao that was the most hilariously awkward scene in the whole series
My top 10 favorite episodes of the season are
1. Felina S5
2. Ozymandais S5
3. Crawl Space S4
4. Face Off S4
5. Box Cutter S4
6. 4 Days Out S2
7. Grilled S2
8. Crazy Handful of Nothin S1
9. To'Hajille S5
10. One Minute S3
Seasons ranked
1. Season 5 10/10
2. Season 4 10/10
3. Season 3 9.8/10
4. Season 1 9.6/10
5. Season 2 9/10
Really loved watching this season, even though I got to it late on Netflix. Felina's main competition for best finale for me is The Wire's final episode.
1 hour for a fantastic finale for Breaking Bad! Nice
Ozymandias as masterful as it is, is one of the hardest episodes to watch.
“Oh yeah, when he’s not ripping me off, or calling me an idiot. Or poisoning people I care about... yeah, MR WHITE’S GAY FOR ME. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT...” 😂😂😂 Aaron Paul was just as good as Bryan Cranston through the entire show. Best show ever.
This show is a masterpiece!
No half measures
Without a doubt the best reviews of breaking bad and Camino and better call Saul ❤️ well done Cody
12:52 It's Art Blanc from Saw IV
I watched the first half of this season watched 30 minutes of your review finished the season then topped it off with the review great content to go back to just like the shows
Thank God for Better Call Saul for bringing back Mike, Lydia, Gus, Hank and Steve and all of the characters that was killed off in Breaking Bad are back in Better Call Saul.
As a hard rock and metal fan that I am. I keep forgetting that Aaron Paul was in a Korn music video for the song thoughtless
The moment you realize that you can see the green screen through Cody's shirt 😂
Maybe your best course.... would be to tread lightly!!!
Breaking Bad without Gus Fring is like Harry Potter without Albus Dumbledore
The only thing about season 5 that bothers me, is the fact that everything basically goes off really fast, all because of this book that Hank found. Don't got me wrong, I get it, but its just the fact that Hank, not really having much else to go by, instantly jumps from Walt not really being suspected at all, to Walt IS Heisenburg, even though the book basically proves nothing, and is at best circumstantial evidence.
There is no questioning by Hank about the book and were it came from and how it came to be in Walts house. For all Hank knew, it was just some huge coincidence and that maybe Walt recently found the book at some pre-owned bookstore or something.
The whole thing just hinges around this book and the fact that it seemed to have an inscription by Gale to someone with the initials W.W - there could be plenty other people with those initals, but Hank just instantly goes off the deep end without asking for or seeking any explanation whatsoever.
Also, Walt doesn't really ask Hank why he suddenly concluded that he is Heisenburg, that would be one of the first things I would want to know - why have I suddenly gone from no suspect, to, I am now Hanks most wanted... Walt just seems to all but admit it.
At the most, it should have put Walt on Hanks radar as a potential suspect. I guess my point is, that I found that particular turning point to be way too jarring and unrealistic.
This is the best season of any show I’ve ever seen. Those last 8 especially.
First one here, but keep up the good work man your an awesome UA-camr and a great reviewer, and I need to watch the other breaking bad seasons that you previously reviewed.
I finally watched the show for the first time and the acting in the season for me is easily better than the rest of the show. Dean Norris acting when he says I don't even know who I'm talking to anymore. Amazing
"Just because you shot Jesse James, don't make you Jesse James"
Just finished season 5
So hard to choose a favorite scene.. The last scene of Blood Money with Walt and Hank. For me, that was Dean Norris best performance. I wasn't anticipating him to be so hostile in the end. Cranston was great, too both acting and directing. The last scene with Mike and Walter.. awesome. Or Jesse just standing there figuring out the cigarette. Paul is underrated. The only reason I watched the pilot when it came out is it was the dad from Malcolm in the Middle in his underwear again on the poster. I've re-watched some Malcolm just to watch Mr White again in his new life after crime (he didn't die, escaped and such blah blah) Hardest scene for me to watch was Andrea being shot.
Walt was the most likable on season 5
I love villains in movies tho that’s why
Am I going crazy, or can I see through you? How am I seeing through your shirt into your background? 😳😳 Okay. Anyhow, I just finished watching this entire series and Holy Shit it was great. An emotional ride, scary ride, funny ride at times-and great.
My only take away from this season is how after Walts retirement How quickly hank finds out. Not a big enough for it be a negative or anything just seemed a little quick . I always assumed it was a just when I think I’m out moment which I loved . Oh this season was great the more I think about it I’m an idiot this show was perfect 👌
You gone over the fact that hank wanted to die dispite all off walters begging the oposite
Poor Jesse
I always thought The Sopranos was the best TV drama show ever.....
I have to now change my mind 🤔
J W
I quite agree JW, both brilliant shows
