    If memory serves me correctly, SpaceX was not a government project or built with a government contract. Being free of the burdens of government interference, SpaceX built the best system to take people into space. The government shuttle program had one-time use fuel tank/rocket boosters on either side. Although the shuttle itself was reusable, those boosters were replaced, not reused. SpaceX recovers all of the pieces parts they launched from earth, verifies they can be used again and now they have the most comfortable, reusable and cost effective vehicle to go into space. Think about that the next time our government says it is best to leave the big decisions to them.

    • @WJV9
      @WJV9 Місяць тому +1

      They are totally funded by government contracts and NASA. They have used government money to also launch their low earth orbit satellite network. They still have not lowered the cost per launch to the point they said they would years ago, I think reworking boosters has taken more time/money than they thought.

      @@WJV9 I stand corrected. I forgot about Musk getting the biggest dollar value contract ever from the government. That information was published quite a while back, not like it was yesterday's news. Sorry about the faulty statement.

Gotta say, I’m glad to see the improvement and I’m really relieved to see that you guys took it as a chance to better the quality and accuracy and not just ignore it. I’m sure that it’ll pay off if not already. I love seeing channels grow and learn from controversies and not just ignore them.

    Cringe clickbait TikTok style video. Glad I will be blocking this channel. It is so cringe that you see computer screens and an autopilot system claiming its futuristic and mind blowing --- when every commercial airplane uses this already. What happens when the computer on board (hopefully redundant) doesn't work, commands from the ground cant be intercepted completely, and the astronauts need to get back to Earth? Do they just hit the center divider, flip, burn up and die like that autopilot car?

    • @daveyshmavey
      @daveyshmavey 9 місяців тому

      Haha! It’s triple redundant. I’m sure it’s pretty much a sign here and accept the risk. It can’t be flown, so it can either escape, and come down gently, or blow up. There is way more technology in a flip phone than there was in the first crewed spacecrafts. Did you watch the whole thing?

    • @kingpickle3712
      @kingpickle3712 9 місяців тому

      Just like on submarines with tones of touchscreens controlling everything, there are also backup systems that allow you to manually operate anything just in case something fails. I know this because NASA and the Submarine force have the same strict standards raises your chance of survival.

    • @Livinghighandwise
      @Livinghighandwise 9 місяців тому +3

      This isn't 1970 anymore Peter.. Those modern computer screens are all redundant and extremely reliable thanks to the reduction in the number of components. Also, every spacecraft since the 60s has relied on automation in all parts of flight. Dragon does take automation to the next level, which is something modern computers allow them to do. It makes the mission much safer overall.
