- This is a speed run of Myst. Everything was near prefect here with no clicking mistakes. I think i can get 50 but i'm happy with this for now. This was run using the Scummvm version which lets you skip the gear and the fireplace scenes that makes this run way faster than the ones already here on youtube.

Holy hells, so much of my childhood life gone by in less then a minute. LoL. Nice job man.
I can appreciate how Atrus himself goes to the trap books and burns them in less than 30 seconds.
hahaha Im laughing so hard, love the pure muscle memory of all the clicks. you move so fast the sounds can barely keep up. well done. I used to have fireplace puzzle memorized too years ago. great job
edit: you should do one where you go straight to the library and to dunny without the white page- 25 seconds probably
I remember meticulously playing through this game over & over growing up and seeing you haul ass thru the short ending made me laugh my ass off.

Would love this game remade and in VR, it would be so nostalgic!!!
there is a 3D version of the game, so as far as i know the worlds should exist in a way that the community can use to make a VR experience...

Excellent sipped run. I occasionally revisit Real Myst having solved it and can complete the speed run but no where near this quickly. My only wish is that having reached the good ending instead of being stranded on the island you could revisit all the ages with all the puzzles solved so you can enjoy the ambience and music of each age again. I could play the whole game through but that takes a long time.

Man I remember my dad got this game for our 1995 Hewlett Packard computer, and I was like 11 or 12; neither him or I could figure out a damn thing, and that's the last time he or I ever played. THEN, for some reason, he got the sequel Riven, but I don't think we even took the plastic off the box!! 😆

There is an option to ranodmize the puzzles in the Vr version.

Thanks! I've thought about it but i don't have the whole game remembered in my head. I would have to route it and study veovis wr. It's not out the question, i hope to do some more adventure game speed runs of games i played back in the day and on Scummvm. Thanks For the comment!
"All Pages"...From what I can recall, you can't do ALL pages. Once either the red or the blue has enough pages, the game ends with a bad ending of you being stuck in that world.
@@jerberus5563 you're correct, all pages is impossible if you take it literally. for all pages speedruns, the fireplace pages are ignored, so you get 5 blue, 5 red, and 1 white page.

i think it can be improved by 1-2 secs, and there is the option to finish it without the white page....so bad ending in 20 sec lol

nice run. your mouse movement is way more accurate/faster than mine. you can probably get sub-50 if you use zip mode.
Thank i might do a zip run one day. But for right now i'm happy with this one. I've been practicing this on and off for a couple years now and been doing serious attempts for the last few weeks and got this run. Thanks for the comment.
You can only zip to places you've been before. So to use zip, you have to visit places twice, which wouod be slower

has anyone attempted this with a wacom tablet (if this isn't)? or is that banned in this category?
i think you could cut about two seconds off this but no more past that just because that'd be the best possible... fucking amazing run watching those hands click..
Can you skip the white page because its Any%?

Well, the trick here is that you are doing a couple things that there's no way to know until you've gone through the whole game normally, but if you already know what those things are you can just do them immediately. I remember thinking it was really cool when I realized it worked back in the day.
The original Fallout can be done in well under 15 minutes through maxing select stats and bypassing about 80 of the game. You don't even need the water chip. I'm really not surprised this can be done in under a minute.
What ever happens to that myst tv series?

There has to be a splice. How did you skip the rotation of the fireplace?
Also, a jump right to the open book once you click "Start" in ScummVM. That shouldn't be possible either.

If you know the codes for Myst Island you can skip to the end. You can't play the whole game in less than a minute.
