Thank you big sister😊 I truly enjoyed this episode.. Watched it at about 6am this morning and it felt like a morning prayer and mentorship session .Nobody really talks about these things. The representation we get paints it otherwise. I particularly loved the background soothing sound. One thing that stood out for me is the grace part. I pray I learn to give Jewel grace and everyone else around me. I can be hard on myself a lot and yes I let my emotions get the best of me with people and then complain of loneliness😅 As someone who never liked the idea of depending on anyone ,men especially,I deeply resonate with the money part. I love being empowered even with the little I have.. I love being able to say no to situations i don’t want because of a free meal or a place to lay my head. 18 year old me would be proud. It could feel really stressful at times especially in a Man’s world…and how they preach the “baby girl lifestyle “ which isn’t a bad thing,I love it for the women who get to experience it. We have to give it to ourselves and our partners. There are times I’ve wished to have a “societal” life but I understand that is not me so I’m going to get up and keep pushing,no matter how daunting.. your story gives me hope that there is more. It could get way better. I’m praying 2025 is that year for us all. I pray we unlearn societal norms relating to hetero relationships and how they apply to our present . It’s not easy I must say but I find myself checking myself before reacting to whoever I’m with. Previously I’d just act without care and lost really good people due to those actions. Thank you Amara.Super proud of your growth. I look forward to another session focusing more on relationships and life in general…..We are sat!!! You have so much wisdom to share 🤍 This Felt like therapy. I’m going to apologize to my friend today because I truly love her.
At this point Amara you are my strength pillar, I'm a masculine lady and trust me when I say this video is for me because I've been through a lot 😞 , but right now I'm happy you have said the bitter truth and I pray we all unlearn to learn, Amara God will bless you and keep you and your partner 🎉🎉 you two take your flowers 🌹😢 i love u. Yes thank you so much.
I told my stud girlfriend that I want to be a house wife and a stay at home wife/mum. 😂😂 she told me she too🙆🏼♀️🙆🏼♀️say she want to be a stay at home wife too. I was looking at her somehow 4 days but right now I have grown and understand that she is a woman too.
🤣😂 I can relate to this. It’s the reason I have started learning how to go to the fueling station. Because as much as I know that I’d much rather not, the person I’m with is a baby girl too and deserves to much rather not too. What’s good for the goose is also sweet on the gander
Funny enough my girlfriend and I had this conversation yesterday And she was like she finds it offensive when in a relationship, you say your partner has to do all the cleaning and cooking just because she’s the feminine one. She’s also feminine too and she’s white so she said most people feel that way because of the experience with men and because of the way over here men feel the women should do all the cleaning and all.And honestly this comes from the fact that here in Nigeria most men feel like it’s their duties to do such. And again I also feel like the studs who don’t see theirselves as baby girls just want to be men and maybe they don’t know how to even put it. And most lesbians feel because you’re a stud you should do the lifting, paying the bills and all This video was really helpful and it’s actually the truth. Thank you so so much Amara I’ve always enjoyed your videos ❤
As a gay man living in Nigeria this is one problem that I have, trying to hetronomatize Gay relationship which can be tiring including the role thing. I know someday I will find someone who's as open to learning new things the way i am.
Thank you @Amara, the Lesbian...I Love your insight, the growth and wisdom you share...Thank you, thank you, than you! How we process our feelings, (our OWN) Perspective)Give GRACE..I appreciate your TED Talk, it helps me to look at things in a different light. Thank You!!🙏🙏..The PROCESS...Such a Beautiful Lady Inside & Out... Your Spirit truly glows.
Everything you said applies to the gays too... I and my partner have such a dynamic relationship. Its so difficult to tell who plays what... I'm so grateful it's not a copy of heterosexuals just like you said.
This is beutifull, knowing they are other gays who enjoys Amara vidoes on here is so fascinating. Incase you don't mind making a new friend, how can i reach out to you?
Thanks for this video,I really appreciate it and please talk more on this or like this cos it really therapeutic for me.I needed this insight . Thank you very much Amara 🎉
I don’t appreciate how lesbians are always policing each other to remove gender roles from our relationships with other women. I understand that it’s not healthy to parrot heterosexual relationships for the sake of “correctness” but it’s Okay to like what you like. There is more to butch and femme than what you wear, and reducing it all to a fashion show is just misguided and disrespectful. Some of us enjoy the yin/yang polarity dance and are not attracted to someone who is exactly the same. Also, even if a woman chooses to identify as a man, she is still a "babygurl" underneath it all and should not be regarded the same as a man. For example you cannot expect this type of woman to fight a grown man if you guys are harassed in public. Identity does not change anything because she is still a female. Honestly there is no such thing as "being a man" in a lesbian relationship but there is nothing wrong if one woman wants to take up a more dominant role or do traditionally masculine things. She still can never take up the role that a man would, so inherently that makes it different even even without trying to erase gender roles.
I didn’t have the opportunity to go to uni and it hurts me a lot but thankfully I learnt sewing ,fresh out of high school which was actually good timing because I don’t know how life would have been without this, and I haven’t done any work outside fashion cos I can’t let it go,it’s all I have. I applied for a task force job last year and a lot of money went down through the process but it didn’t work out (you also sent me money when I wanted to complete money for the documentation process)….I sew under someone but I rather do that than be dependent on people, while I’m working and still helping the family my little way I’m praying for breakthrough for my brother so I’ll further in uni and fashion school like he promised… I’ve been told I have “ male ego” when it comes to money cos I like to have my money and work for it…I know I’ll get what I want for my self, I’m not coming out to anybody (made that mistake with my cousin, not anymore) Thanks for this video ❤
Awwwn this is beutifull Zina, you stop inspire for greatness and that's one thing I'm happy about. What do you saw and what state are you in incase I wanna patronize?
Hello Zina, well done you can enroll in miva open University, is fully online and get your BSC while working in your fashion home. Exam is done at CBT centers in any part of the country, and you can also continue your program even if you japa. Good luck
What about a partner that love to act the man role even if u try to do a baby girl treatment she don’t seems to enjoy it she prefers to act as the man in the relationship
you’re framing it as “the man and the woman” they’re both women. have you ever considered that there’s more relationship dynamics that just heteronormative ones?
Watching you is a breath of fresh air.
I love that you’re truly happy.
I hope I’m this happy one day!
Love you,Amara.
You will feel many many things in this your life. Happpiness will be one of them. No worry. Just keep doing the best for yourself each day. 💗
