Networking and talking with lecturers, tutors and phd students is soooo valuable. I would also recommend letting them know you are passionate for research etc. Some may be too busy to help you, but you will always find one or two who will help you. Having a lecturer willing to help you get onto projects/find a graduate job is worth as much or more than your grades (from my experience).
I love the way you speak; your tone of voice, your pace, your accent just make up all the right tune for understand every aspect of what you explain ... 🙌🏻
Yay early squad. Informative video. I feel we should not underestimate biomedical sciences. Because without research we won't be able to find new cures/drugs and hence we have to encourage more people to join biomedicine and focus on becoming great researchers.💉💊🎊🔭🔬
Rxha so true. I feel people won't realize the importance of something unless they loose it. Once all researchers stop their research then people will come to know the value of a biomedical scientist.
Hey there Atousa, the career opportunities had me thinking a bit about the research career path I think I'd like to do. Obviously research projects don't last forever so I feel like the job wouldn't be stable. Should I be worried about having to constantly reapply for jobs?? Or am I just overthinking this? 😂 Would really like your opinion 😀
hello! no you aren't overthinking, unfortunately this happens a lot in academia, which is why it can be quite unstable /: having said that, people who love it enough aren't put off by this, and go for it anyway. As with all jobs and all careers, there are good things and there are bad - sadly this is the bad side of academic research!!
The requirement to do a PhD is the usually qualifications - In terms of personal skills, you can always work and study to become 'smarter' and work to improve your memory :)

Hi, I would like to know the requirement to be a PhD student. Do I have to be really really smart and have a very very good memory?

I think you can do a separate degree in biomedical engineering :) I don't know too much about it though I'm afraid!
