SFA are, without doubt, one of the greatest bands to emerge from the 90's.... utterly love em', subversive, melodic, interesting, amusing, artistic, individualistic, positive LOVE EM'
The london music writer critic based industry of now extinct music rags just couldent bring themselves to give them the respect they deserved they should have been got the Mercury Music Prize in 2001.For Rings Around The World lp
They really are legendary to us hardcore fans, so thanks for giving them the appropriate introduction. They're as good as the Beach boys and the Beatles in my opinion.
Geraint Geraint Geraint, you are so right, and back up by the live performances (whole tour in surround sound, who was doing that eh!) 90s, 2000s what a bueutiful experience I was lucky enough to remember, kind of!
Melody Geniuses. I have loved them since Fuzzy Logic was realeased. They have not been given enough credit for their music in my opinion. Truely unique. SFA ok! sending big love to the band
Deep dove em in the mid to late 90s...so far as to when i visited the UK i grabbed every CD single i could find of them. They are literally a buffet of different genres sounds... amazing.
Agreed. Never stops, my taste changes over the years but always coming back to them brings so much joy into my life, like falling in love all over again:)
This gig is like a funeral of human pop music. Those guys delivered, transmitted, and so few listened. I was in Paris the whole time, the "Fuzzy Logic" decade, in parties, gigs (Paris is a small place) and literally NO ONE cared there. Yeah, I'm aggravating. I so love you guys, I don't know how to tell you, you turned a whole bleak decennial into a trip from Cardiff to Vilnius ;) We don't see enough of Cian during Slow Life. Vous bluesez grave, les mecs.
🤓 yeah , not everyone has great taste , but to us , these guys are the best !!! 🐱🦊🐺🐯🦁🦍🐒🐺 Years ago I ran into a Londoner and asked him what bands were happening now , and he said bands from Wales. I asked , what bands ? He said any band from Wales. O.K. . So , I saw a listing in the Village Voice (N.Y.C) that S.F.A. were doing a gig so I went . I was amazed . What a great call . I've seen them a bunch of times . Been listening since about 2000 or so . p.s. I met Gruff Rhys at a record store on St. Mark's Place and presented him with a Cuban Montecristo #4 Cigar . (He was very appreciative)
the stereophonics are playing a sell out gig at the racecorse ground in wrexham which is a proud moment for the welsh people to listen to a quality band playing music so close to home i think the supers should follow what a band in my eyes they are so underrated an in my eyes are the best welsh band left they are bloody brilliant an wish i could see them live
A phenomenal band. My partner is Welsh and there is something peculiar about the humour from South Wales; which is hilarious, and one of the reasons I love her. Phantom Power, Phantom Phorce, and the dvd of Phantom Power...check that tripping. But ultimately they produce some of the most beautiful harmonic pop/trance/trippy/rock music you will ever hear. Love them...as an Englishman I probably have this wrong...but...Rwy'n eu caru.
Awe man av seen most of my faves in the barrow lands missed the super furries ye defo one of the most underrated band for sure Craig but a love this kexp performance
super furry animals they do alot of supporting bands.. no disrespect at all to the great bands they do support.. but like the glastonbury gig they can headline what an amazing show that was hope they do some gigs in north wales for the people that hate travelling lol

Run Christian Run. All time fave for me. Heroes.
These guys defined my high school years at the end of the 90's and my young adult years in the early 2000's. Phenomenal band.

Playing a regular guitar upside down and reversed? That is quite a skill to have.
We always used to refer to their debut EP as "What's its face in space"
Stunning set

I just realized that I saw them perform at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland before this was recorded.
