No narrative arc, they’re real people. In this instance, Robert Groves is an actor of the Cornley (layer 2). He is played by Henry Lewis iirc, who, along with Henry Shields (Chris Bean) and Jonathan Sayer (Dennis) is the writer of the Goes Wrong Show. Lucy Groves is also an actor of the Cornley (layer 2) and is the niece of Robert. I have no idea who she is played by but I doubt she’s actually related to Henry Lewis (layer 3)
I love the part in the Nativity where Robert throws the fire extinguisher at Chris, 'cause of how it perfectly lines up with the lyrics so it sounds like they're all yelling "Christ!" at what just happened.
