These videos have saved me a massive headache, no matter how much time i spent in the manuals and all the years i have used Nikon Cameras, these videos have finally stopped the confusion! Thank you!
3 for 3 Hudson!! Great tips. Additionally these videos are increasing my confidence tremendously as to what I can do with this camera and how to do it.
Great videos. Just reprogrammed my Z9. I like to format my memory card after I download the card to my computer so I saved the memory banks to a separate memory card that I will keep in my backpack and use if necessary. I also shoot surfing, foiling, kite and wing but have not done any yet with the Z9 since I live on Long Island NY so too cold. Can't wait for Spring! Love all your videos. bob
Thanks for a great video. Your setup guides have really helped me to set up my Z9. With DSLRs it always been advised to turn of vibration reduction if using the camera on a tripod. I’m wondering if that’s necessary when using the Z9 on a tripod? Thanks!
Thanks so much for this. One the Landscape I see that you had Vibration Reduction turned off- but you didn't mention this change. Is this because of tripod likely for landscape? If not on a tripod that should be on, correct?
Hudson - I want to be sure I understand the save settings function. ( It is a lot of work to set up. Thank you for your efforts. ) The settings are saved to the card in my camera. When I delete phots I selected delete "all pictures" and the settings will remain on my card. In the past I have saved my settings to a backup card and stored it away and if I needed to reset the settings I loaded the backup card and uploaded the settings I had made. This is no longer necessary?
Hey Hudson, first< I got my tripod and I just love it...!! it is a little heavy but my wife volunteered to carry it wherever we go. She is good like that.:) next: I have a question about the lens function buttons. If you are in a shooting bank and you have programmed then lens function button for a specific task, say on the 70-200 and you change lenses, where the new lens you put on you had the function button programmed for a different task, will the camera remember that task and override your settings in your shooting bank to reflect that,,,??
Glad you love it! No, there are a max of 2 lens function buttons per lens. If your lens has 1, then lens function 1 in the custom settings will only apply. If two, then both your lens function settings choices will be mapped. It's not lens specific.
Thanks again Hudson for another great video, have you noticed any difference in the dynamic range between the Z9 and the Z7II as related to landscape? Have you tried lifting the shadows to 100%
I think there should be one deep set of banks that cover everything in the menus and also the frame rates (which aren't in any bank now) . I'd like 6 or 8 comprehensive banks. Sadly I have no say. :)

Excellent, Hudson. Thank you once more,

Great option. :)
Using this approach, if you used one more memory card than your original bkup you could actually create more banks to have 8 in total.

It's in custom settings. I usually just leave it on. with modern lenses you can leave it on even on the tripod. :-)
@@HudsonHenryPhoto Thank you- I thought so too, but was pretty sure I saw it turned off so was confused.

It's not worth checking till the final profiles from Adobe are released. We're working with stopgap profiles for now.

Why aren't the shooting and custom banks synchronized? Would you ever mix and match them say shooting A and Custom B?
