She is only 15 in this , I am surprised she is this controlled with feet and legs like that. Even the most amazing professionals with feet and legs like this have a hard time focusing on their " upper body " She balanced her weaknesses out with her beautiful acting skills. Lets focus on the good and not criticize someone of such high caliber .
Just exquisite! Besides the clean, strong, centered, almost effortless seeming technique, and the charming acting, and the lovely physique (no, I will not drool over and objectify her feet, as so many here have done--I'm above that, don't you know), she dances here with style, discernment, taste, and a perfectly appropriate spirit of fun. Also, admirable musicality and, and, and--I could go on much more, but why take the time away from searching for more examples of her dancing? I hope things are going well for her, and that she will have a good, long career. Also hope I get to see her dance live sometime.

No. A lot of Ballet dancers are required to stretch their feet, which means point their toes until their toes are pointing to the ground... her arches are probably high, which makes her foot bend further, her shoes are broken IN which allows her to dance better, but they are not broken, its hard to dance if they Pointe shoes are broken, which makes it hard to get on her toes because the box on which she stands on is not supporting her toes, which could cause her more harm or damage!! :)
I think she didn't have formal traning but I'm pretty sure she did lyrical and contemporary before which are kind of similar. You're right though, she is amazing.
well she did a lot of jazz and contemporary before, but she felt she needed more of a challenge so she got intense for ballet at age 12. she had a lot of training prior to that. but yeah definately..shes amazing. like look at her feet. her legs. that body. I AM SO JEALOUS
I know, right? at Prix de Laussane this year, EVERYBODY did the Swanilda variation. i remember in the documentary "First Position", which came out in 2011 (and highlighted the Youth American Grand Prix) Gaya Bommer Yemini did Swanilda, and although it was good, I think Hannah did it better!
A Principal Dancer [if female] is a Ballerina.A Prima Ballerina is a Senior Principal.In France they are called Etoiles. Then there are Prima Ballerina Assolutas.I think there have only been about 20 in the history of ballet. Even Anna Pavlova was never made an Assoluta.Although she bloody well should have been. If you go on Wikipedia it lists all the Primas,and Assolutas there have been.
