Collecting the light sabers are very worth it to buy if your an avid or huge fan of star wars and Love dressing up Cosplays and could be use as props / accessories to your starwars costumes. Plus they are great for display aswell. The down side of this is that they are too expensive, electronics deteriorate and they're hard to get and some are not made nicely and well. thanks for sharing..
As someone who owns multiple legacy sabers and neopixels, I think all of the legacy customers fit into 3 categories 1) The people who want the magic of going to Galaxy’s Edge and buying a lightsaber at Dok Ondars / building one at Savi’s (I will say though the first time you visit Savi’s is truly magical I would recommend simply for the experience, ignoring that the sabers are less quality than pixels) 2) People who don’t know that bneopixels even exist / your more casual fan who is in the park and buys a saber 3) People who know that neopixels exist but would rather shop from Disney since it’s easier, and I think people trust it more If you read all this thanks, and if you disagree I’d love to go back and forth about it.
id say the main problem with neopixels compared to legacy lightsabers is the legacy lightsabers will probably have decent resale value in the future, unofficial star wars products aka neopixels will probably never have a true resale value
@@JonHuemmer yeah but I don’t play on selling my lightsabers, people who buy with the intention of purely reselling aren’t real fans, they’re taking advantage of fans
@@terradusk5603 Tough times happen. id rather spend my money on something that appreciates in value then depreciates. So that way if and when times get tough i can look at the display on my wall and not be ashamed i spent hundreds or thousands of dollars on collectible toys with no chance to ever recoup my money if need be.
I had one Legacy lightsaber and I hated it. I only stick to custom built sabers. The difference in tech from a licensed saber to a custom built one is huge. You're able to completely customize how your saber functions with the latest tech. Disney uses tech that is almost 20 years old.
Great video, jason. Me and my daughter's favorite video you ever did was the rebels ahsoka. We laughed so hard seeing the flash back here. I agree they are expensive but worth the family fun. Thank you so much for your family's generosity. We cherish our gifts from batu from the Nash family. 😊
You can also order Legacy Lightsabers from Disney’s official online store! That’s how I got both of my Legacy lightsabers! However they do sometimes take certain hilts off of the website when they go out of stock. Sometimes the stock is replenished, sometimes it is not.
I just got myself the obi-wan from the Disney Star Wars area. Love the whole immersive feel. And it was so cool to actually hold a metal hilt! I know what you mean about the sorta wobbly saber blade inside the emitter. And yeah, (specially with the Obi-Wan and similar sabers) that fact you have change the part to fit the blade is sorta a drag but. I do enjoy finally having my dream saber.
Pretty much how i felt. They are not the most high end on the market, but I like having them displayed on my office shelf and maybe take them out on occasation for pictures. The good thing about is they are more affordable than a number of other sabers, so I feel more comfortable collecting these. I get one everynow and again for special occasions.
I've recently returned from a family holiday out in Florida and after viewing, and then holding, Vader's Lightsaber....I just had to buy it 😄 I bought the blade with it, because why not, but would never use it for dueling etc. It's an amazing replica and looks great up on display.
Yeah that helped when the blades went out I discovered this feature thing yesterday the blade has a timer so when the saber is inactive for a little while it will turn the blade of so it doesn’t draw to much power and run the battery
Buying from Ebay would definitely cost more, but you'd save money since you wouldn't need to travel to the park, admissions, not to mention cost of food you'd spend there, hotel etc...... Still there's the magic and wonder of entering Galaxy Edge and getting the lightsaber yourself
I was at Hollywood Studios the other day and was hesitant about buying one. I am going to go back soon and I have decided to buy Darth Vaders, for the experience and to have whilst I'm there. I'll probably buy customs in the future though. What do you think about Savis Workshop?
I was thinking that these all look really great, and if I had to pick one, it would have been Luke’s from RotJ, until you showed it 7:17, my god that looks absolutely awful to have to change the emitter to THAT to get the blade in? No thanks. Good review by the way, good length and covers the salient points.
Any experience having to ship one of them. I live in Canada and I’ve realized the blade will be a long item to deal with on a plane. Is it durable enough to be stored in checked baggage. Or should I I just get one and ship it home
EBay not everyone is a scalper possibly find ppl like you that can help other fans I got 3 savis workshop only paid the shipping extra I paid retail for it even looked up cost of shipping I wasn’t scalped
I have both a legacy luke saber and a neopixel luke saber. My neopixel cost the same as the legacy saber, looks better, has tons of effects and on the legacy saber the red and green arrows are the wrong way around lol
I wouldn’t say they’re made for dueling. I’ve dueled more with the regular legacy lightsabers that you can buy, separate from Savis. The experience you get by building your own lightsaber at Savi’s workshop is amazing, but the lightsaber itself can probably only handle light dueling.
@@nashdisneyexplorers6874 Thank you I really wanted to know this before hand I don’t have a lot to spend on them and I want to choose the right one lol!
Thanks for the unbiased review!
My pleasure!

You’re so welcome! I’m glad you liked that video about the Ahsoka sabers. We had a lot of fun doing that.
@nashdisneyexplorers6874 my daughter Zoey still runs around the house with her lightsaber saber screaming taste my wrath woooo! Lol 😆 🤣
That’s awesome. Wreck it ray still works for me, so he’ll be happy to hear that.

I would highly recommend savi’s workshop for the experience alone. It’s fun to build your own lightsaber, but the saber itself isn’t all that great.
@nashdisneyexplorers6874 Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I'll see what happens. Thank you very much :). Good video as well, I subscribed :D
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Disney Store UK tends to sell them cheaper and with free shipping. They don’t have all the sabres available though.

And do you know if the are durable wanna get two for me and my 15 year old
That's why I fly FPV drones

It’s always easier to ship them home, but I’ve taken them on the plane too. They’re pretty durable as long as nobody is jumping up and down on it.
The blade design is 90% perfect the twist and lock why can’t other company’s do so the led blade yea not buying a fancy flashlight

You can buy these online at the Disney store - so, you don't have to go to Disney park's to get one.
Let me save you 9 minutes... No, they are not worth it. You can get far superior replicas for damn near the same price with far better electronics.
