@@juremeljo2686I haven’t yet, but in the comments someone stated they talked to a dev and they allegedly confirmed this. I’d like to get into contact with one to confirm this as well.
Lol, all the locations are indeed easily recognizable. I'm even a little disappointed, but the updated look with this Mirror's Edge-like color palette NICEEE. Besides, Seoul-along with Monaco-is my favorite map.
I'm loving the re-design its super clean and everything seems very condensed as well as fast paced (because of the jump pads connecting each point of interest). I think this will bring the game back to its roots with chaotic fun gameplay. It has the potential to be one of the best maps in the game!
I actually think the only section of the new map they've revealed is the blue and white area but the rest is in fact Soel just with new textures for the new season to give the maps more of an arena gameshow feel. People are just mistaking it to be new since the teaser is so short.
@@HazedNConfused there's also a blink and you'll miss it shot of what appears to be Vegas only now it has this sleek themed sponsor look to it so maybe all the old maps are getting this new texture treatment.
If you really think about it Seoul is a very hard map for new players because of the layout. Without construction there has to be calculated movement to make it in time for a cashout after a wipe. If a rework of the map is done, I'm sure many players would be happy, but of course, as someone with hundreds of hours, something brand new would be fantastic. S4 looks to add so much as well, so I'm sure all will be please either way. Note: with Kyoto getting a new variant, this would be hype as just a Seoul variant. And maybe a new map altogether 🎉🎉🎉
If it does turn out to be based off Seoul, I addition of jump pads rather than bridges will be easier for new players to push objectives without full knowledge of how to use defense gadgets. Also the gameplay will go a hell of a lot faster with the condensed distance of the Big Hospital!
Imagine there was a fast hyperjump in a channel INSIDE the construction block, so you could jump from app's alley to datacenter! But not backwards. Other way would be from lil med to mall. That would be pretty cool. No back & forth movement, but these cuts would be possible.
In the 3rd picture, the building behind/in the distance of what is believed to be the new apartments does not have the same color palette as the building seen in the 2nd picture, which is believed to be the new hospital. It does have the same color palette as the first picture however, making the layout different than what would be in Seoul.
Hey I wanted to come back and say you made a really good point. That had me pondering enough to make an entirely new video. I wanted to say thank you for pointing it out!
I'm going to assume that either this is a map recolor for this season, or it will work like the World Tour - at high ranks the maps change depending on which sponsor you choose.
@@АнтониоКуринноио because it’s their game and they can re use designs that work. They are going back to their roots this season they already said it. Also on their blog post they literally posted an image saying “NEW MAP”
Seoul was always like long range biased yet still very cool map imo. In this "version" they kinda fixed its only possible downside of being large and too open. I think this map gonna be more comfortable to play than seoul for most players. It seems like nice work was done here.
I noticed your Finals settings are higher dpi and lower in game sensitivity. I’m new to PC(and M&K) gaming. What makes you go with these settings are opposed to the inverse(lower dpi higher in game sensitivity)?
The reason I play on higher dpi is because it allows for a faster response time when using 4k or 8k hertz. However in game I lower the sense to match what I play on when using 800 dpi. So for instance if I play on 30 sens in game with 800dpi, it would translate to 15 sense with 1600 dpi. Although the difference in response time is very small, I find that the higher dpi / hertz helps compensate with latency caused by lag. Hope this helps!
what do you mean when you say it’s a digital variance map “like syshorizon”? is syshorizon based on another map? or do you just mean it’s more digital than the more real life inspired maps
When Syshorizon was developed its infrastructure was based on a real life location. This location was never stated by the map developers. Sorry for not being clear!

I don't get why you would call it a "digital variance of Seul", all the maps are digital representations, the contestants are always competing in digital arenas... 🤨🤷♂️
Great question The Finals is a game show that is based off a simulated reality this map would be taking the specific simulated reality back to its digital roots. Kind of like how Horizon’s infrastructure was based off a real location, but was left in an incomplete digital state. Also this is best way I could word it without people jumping to the “It’s a re-skin” conclusion because it definitely is not.
@@HazedNConfused thanks for the explanation, I really like this game and I hope more people get into it, so keep on making content and let's get people hyped 🤘
I think this is only a redesign for another game mode. Completly new map is not revealed i think. This was only a teaser. Better wait for trailer itself.
tl;dr: let them cook ffs Hear me out: besides the obvious benefit to developers that comes from reusing assets, I want to believe that that Embark are using their Battlefield experience and remixing enjoyable gameplay areas rather than making something completely new just for the sake of it. Battlefield 3 & 4 had many unique looking DLC maps that were incredibly unfun to play on. Skyway rules. Seoul rules. Why not save time by mashing together the best of both of them? It isn't possible to make a brand new map with completely new assets during the length of a season. Embark is around 300 developers. Call of Duty is more like 3000. Fortnite has 4000+ developers working on it. Either we forgive Embark for reusing assets in order to push out content faster, or we have to get comfortable with getting one map a year, instead of 2-3.
If it is based of Seoul, the improvements made just from the info presented in the teaser will make this map possibly the best in the game. That’s just my opinion of course.
@@kylerclarke2689 I trust these devs, they took an already amazing map and optimized the hell out of it with a beautiful re-design. It will be one of the most fast paced maps in the game!

I believe that is from the sponsor representing that particular point of interest. From what it looks like each area will have its own sponsor making it unique to that company.
I think they wanted to take an already great map and make improvements where it was lacking. Also the interior of each point of interest is a complete redesign. Regardless of re-using assets this was done with care and will most likely be one of the best maps in the game. (That’s just my opinion of course)
Seoul is a fantastic map that was slightly too big. However if my theory is correct, this rework will condensed, fast paced, and chaotic fun. It quite possibly will be the best map in the game!
Since the first time watching the trailer, I was left with the impression that the Fortune Stadium has the blandness of Sys$Horizon - flat colors and empty rooms with no apparent purpose. I'm sorry, but I'm not that excited for this one.
horizon was meant to be unfinished since in the lore CNS released it before it was done, but Fortune will be more like Skyway in the fact that it is a proper map but it's fantasy and contains fragments of other real-location maps (e.g. Skyway and Monaco) edit: the main attraction of Fortune is that each of the three sponsors for S4 has their own section of the map which will have all their stuff in (so the architecture might be simple but I'm sure there'll be lots of interesting details!)
It’s all speculation, but if it is based off Seoul and if my theory is correct. This map will be a condensed version of Seoul that is faster paced because of the jump pads replacing bridges as well as jump pads near tall structures/buildings to make them easily accessible. Also from the looks of it, the pathways are the same, but the interior of the POIs are completely re-done to the point of being almost entirely different.
This is all speculation of course, but I am looking forward to a reveal to see this beautiful map in its entirety!
