I believe the katana having separate sheathe molds is to prevent paint chip on the katanas when sheathing. Mafex seems to have brittle plastic quality so this seem to be a protective measure for how they make their figures and accessories. Personally handled both Mafex and Marvel Legends and I can say I’m more comfortable man handling Legends than Mafex. But I love the poseability options.
The reason they do the sheathes like that is because no matter what the sheathes would be slightly oversized if they made the sword go in and out, it is however nice that they give you everything you need to display it in or out but you do lose access to that mid draw look.
This is the first time ever seeing sword sheaths attached to a sash, sticking straight out from each other. Just don't remember that ever being a thing in the comics...but I guess it's accurate to some of Jim Lee's art. It looks really silly and impractical, so nice it's an option to not use them. Same here, I much prefer functioning sword sheaths. They just over engineered it, when that money could've gone towards something else.
Yes totally agree with everything U said, over engineered, they could’ve saved money and gave us that butterfly effect, that’s something that was sorely missing, still a good looking figure tho
Best psylocke we got! But still feel it could've been better. The head just not doing for me, maybe big forehead and wrong hair and lip colors. Also nice review! Only thing I noticed is that the backdrop is super dark! And takes away some of the colors from the figure, but it is different from other reviewers.
Yea definitely room for improvement, still a decent figure, and thank you man, I plan on replacing the background to a different color on my next review
Pretty cool to still have the super crappy Apocalypse wave version to compare to this one. Gotta say that the Select one is better in some ways, like those amazing headsculpts and belt accessories. Just wish this one wasn't so tiny, since Betsy is really tall. And if the faces didn't look anime-ish/included the butterfly effect & some of those yellow belt accessories. Overall, I still give it to Mafex. Just love the engineering more than any other company, and the plastic they use is nice.
@@ScrewedToyz no luck finding the toy it’s sold out is there a website where they have it in stock I live in Australia btw if you can help me out it would be amazing but you don’t have too

I think ur spot on!
@@ScrewedToyz I hope they use Psylocke’s body mold to make their version of Elektra.
Especially since they’re going to release Mafex Daredevil soon.
Best Psylocke figure EVER!!! No debate.
No debate at all but it is underwhelming
Love the lighting you are using for the review
Thank you! I worked really hard to get it just right

Legends does it all the time and they don’t look to big.
