There are definitely people just complaining because they aren’t used to the difficulty, but I also think there are some balance tweaks they could make to Tight Formation. On the one hand, Assault and Vanguard could get away with fucking off by themselves and not playing with their team on Ruthless difficulty and Lethal is remedying that. Ammo constraints mean an indirect buff to melee classes? Less reliant on ammo, they can pop off more easily while ranged classes need to pick their targets more carefully?
Or makes classes like heavy who are designed to drop entire waves while the melee and other classes focus heavy targets but ya know now I'm constantly out of ammo
@@generalshock4359 yeah maybe buff isn't the right way to word it, I just mean theres more of an incentive for your team to bring a melee Marine, as opposed rocking a full ranged team comp, like Heavy Sniper Tactical. I hope they add an in between dif where the spawns are the same but you don't have the stupid coherency mechanic. That without a team in discord is unplayable.

Especially with ranged units being so prominent.
@@JebblesJunior I like having a new difficulty, I'm just not sure if that specific change was the play. More mobs, extra extremis, less armor, less ammo, all sounds fine. Time will tell, I guess it depends on how small the radius is.
Oh boy. Looks great and all but that effect to only get armor by being near people? Terrible decision. People run off, people get seperated by hordes and everyone has a role to play with it hits the fan. Terrible decision
I'm going to give the new difficulty a pass. Not because it too hard. It just when they say we're getting new cosmetic reward for beating the new difficulty, I was totally down. But I check and all you get for beating the new difficulty is a battle damage tactical helmet for all class. So going to stick with ruthless till they give better or more rewards. I don't mind the nerf. I hardly noticed the armor or fencing change. And nerf to the melta bomb and asuex scan only apply to boss. I rarely use melta bombs and as long the team focuses on the boss(scan or not) it won't be a problem.
The armor regen restriction range is too close. I have screen cap of it and its only a few steps away. Its called LETHAL difficulty, not D*MBAHH difficulty, brother. Oh btw ur not allowed to regen armor with execution and gun strikes if ur the only one left alive in ur team. Funny af 😂
@@JebblesJuniortoo bad. It's fun af. 3 lictors at the same time man. Was waiting for that since release. This armor tether is just the thing that's killing it for me
People are overreacting hard. But what I don't like about the patch is that it reinforces already established metas and punishes anything else altogether. I get that changes to these issues is not within the scope or focus of this patch. But shooting many weapons just feels futile, and not even having a token buff while they work on the issue as well as needing to wait for the next one with little communication inbetween is frustrating. I like that there is a part of the game where you need to coordinate with your team. But a big part of that coordination for me is in making builds that compliment each other, and right now there is just one way to do everything.
Honestly not a fan of how they decided to do Lethal. I don't find this game that hard normally (nor do I care that it's not challenging), but a lot of the difficulty in this mode is honestly just arbitrary "they have bigger stats, you have less, and ammo is even more rare." It was a lazy way to increase difficulty before and it remains a lazy way to do it now. I _do_ like the changes to extremis enemies they put out though, the fact they spawn in groups and can come in different combinations makes things interesting. They should of pushed that farther rather then just going with the generic "the enemies are meaner now" route. Combine that with the nerfs and this whole patch has been something of a let down. This kind of stuff is why I stopped playing Helldivers, so I'm really hoping this isn't the start of a development trend.
Bout time we got something with some spice to it. I was running Ruthless like it was minimal for several weeks now. Now I'll just have to hold hands with one other rando on my team and let the other make a decision to stick together or run off and die. Anyone who's pugging Lethal, good luck. 🤣

@JebblesJunior and yea obviously that's the point of this mode. Is to make you fight like a real space marine group.
@@whitelavender7give it time and learn instead of jumping to complaining immediately. It JUST came out
The close proximity leash needs to go though. All the other things they added to this difficulty is fine.
I could see the tether getting longer, but forced teamwork isn't the worst to increase difficulty.
Only complaint I have for this update is "Tight formation" other then that I'm fine with it.
"Tight formation" is a major step in the wrong direction.
I don't entirely dislike tight formation because it forces intelligent team play, but I think the radius could be slightly wider.
Day 5, i NEED my fix of Black Templar roast
Though onto the meat of this video, absolute BANGER. I LOVE THIS NEW DIFFICULTY! My battle brothers and I thoroughly enjoy the required levels of teamwork. Especially since we grind Inferno for XP and Armory Data so its nice to have this new mode be actually hard haha
I'm not just liking these mindlessly by the way. I am observing.
@@JebblesJunior don't think you're the only one observing 👀👈👈
Jesus man sniper cooks
Ammo constraints mean an indirect buff to melee classes? Less reliant on ammo, they can pop off more easily while ranged classes need to pick their targets more carefully?
that is not a buff or a indirect buff XD
Or makes classes like heavy who are designed to drop entire waves while the melee and other classes focus heavy targets but ya know now I'm constantly out of ammo
@@generalshock4359 yeah maybe buff isn't the right way to word it, I just mean theres more of an incentive for your team to bring a melee Marine, as opposed rocking a full ranged team comp, like Heavy Sniper Tactical.
Or maybe instead it just means that ammo perks are way more relevant (both gun perks or class perks)
I hope they add an in between dif where the spawns are the same but you don't have the stupid coherency mechanic. That without a team in discord is unplayable.
I wish ruthless also has the same enemy density as Lethal so i wouldnt deal with the BS shield mechanic while slaughtering a Lictor duo.
Not you just looking through comments, people talking in posts and comments about ammo cache changes and acting like fencing got super nerfed. Fencing feels completely fine and running out of ammo in the caches has not happened for me or anyone i have seen play.
Just curious what is your sniper build? Asking since I usually play sniper?
Center around headshot damage, the 75% damage booster to your first shot in cloak, and quick regain of invisibility
The armor radius kinda punishes effective class play
Having played through everything now, you can still play every class effectively.
No way i am doing it with random people or solo, Nah-Ah
Not AT ALL a fan of this weird new tether mechanic for armor regain...
like really?
how are assault and sniper supposed to have some distance now?
even during this video you were standing a few meters away from them and headshoting them, i could never aim with a sniper so precisely so up close
why not make it so that we spawn with full syringes but there arent any on the map at all, this way if you jump in and get smacked its your own damn fault... i would much rather see something like this
As a sniper, your main goal is protect the team at any distance. This means you need to prepare for close threats as well.
@@JebblesJunior yeah? Since when? Snipers were literally made for long range support and nothing else.
Thats their whole identity. You want close range support, we have Bulwark and assault for that, you want mid range support, you have heavy and tactician for that.
Hell Diver 2 lvl glazing on this channel
They started the nerf train and all these maniacs say the same thing you’re not good at the game.
This just keeps spamming the same response to everyone who doesn’t like the nerfs or the new difficulty mechanics. Hes definitely not going to listen to honest feedback.
Gitgud noobs… is the death rattle of modern games
@@jacobwooten977 but it's literally true. If you want a baby easy pandering mode, play on easy. Simple. It has already been proven the new difficulty is 100% beatable *if you are really good* almost like that's the point for a hardest difficulty.
@@cuppedcupbrother there's already a game that's super hard. It's called real life. If sm2 is too easy for you, put the controller down and go outside. This "real life" game is hard af. Right up your hardcore gaming nerd alley. It's permadeath, no quicksave, no quickload. So what are u waiting for?
What are your thoughts on the fencing nerf?
I've been using it, and I honestly don't feel much difference.
Is this out now? Do I need to go home "sick"
It indeed is out now.
As a Bulwark I’m getting played around left and right :/. It’s hella difficult but it’s possible with good teammates. Overall help a bulwark out and run with me instead of sitting back :/
How does it not overbalance forward? That's strange
Finally those jackass vanguards that run off and trigger all the downs and waves will get punished
Yeah, maybe give us i-frames on gunstrikes if you are going to make armor not come back like this? I shouldn't be able to carry two level 7s through ruthless like before but there has to be a middleground between that and being completely fucked when you have to reposition 😂.
Especially with ranged units being so prominent.
At least they only put cosmetics behind it
This was made almost specifically for people who were saying the game was too easy. Lethal is meant to live up to the name.
@@JebblesJunior I like having a new difficulty, I'm just not sure if that specific change was the play. More mobs, extra extremis, less armor, less ammo, all sounds fine.
Time will tell, I guess it depends on how small the radius is.
@@feircy individually these things would be fine(except less ammo, that is an all around stupid idea), but all at once is not a good idea
Oh boy. Looks great and all but that effect to only get armor by being near people? Terrible decision. People run off, people get seperated by hordes and everyone has a role to play with it hits the fan. Terrible decision
It's not as hard to maintain as it seems, this was just our first run on the hardest map and game mode.
Lethal just came out, give it time for people to figure things out
I was playing bulwark and the server but my internet fucked and my team died 😂
I'm going to give the new difficulty a pass. Not because it too hard. It just when they say we're getting new cosmetic reward for beating the new difficulty, I was totally down. But I check and all you get for beating the new difficulty is a battle damage tactical helmet for all class. So going to stick with ruthless till they give better or more rewards.
I don't mind the nerf. I hardly noticed the armor or fencing change. And nerf to the melta bomb and asuex scan only apply to boss. I rarely use melta bombs and as long the team focuses on the boss(scan or not) it won't be a problem.
Try on angel of death, when i star playing i put thet difficulty immediately, i got feed my on feet for that
That is no lake it bio aid
Another vox from the primarch!
Funny af 😂
Lethal is just living up to its name. The people wanted difficulty, now they have it.
@@JebblesJuniortoo bad. It's fun af. 3 lictors at the same time man. Was waiting for that since release. This armor tether is just the thing that's killing it for me
Remove the armor tethering and we're golden.
Its a horrible design choice.
the fact you can't use your weapon when you have the visor is bullshit. The first time i did this mission as heavy was dreadful because of this.
I definitely think now that they're getting a better hold on what they want enemy wise that we can start improving some weapons.
Is the new operation out? I didn't want to watch for spoilers
It is.
Tight formation needs to go
Bout time we got something with some spice to it. I was running Ruthless like it was minimal for several weeks now. Now I'll just have to hold hands with one other rando on my team and let the other make a decision to stick together or run off and die. Anyone who's pugging Lethal, good luck. 🤣
Helldivers 3: Fuck the Customers
The customers said it was too easy.
@JebblesJunior which means they're obligated to add poorly implemented artificial difficulty

Parrying feels the exact same to me in fact feels easier due to the party starting on the first frame of the animation
It's a new harder difficulty and people wanted it to be a cake walk smh
And no it wasn't a minority of people complaining about the difficulty literally under every video I've watched of high kill SM2 missions on ruthless. There was always a bastard complaining about how easy the game is
And now that a new difficulty has been added that fixes the "Ez"
And the over-tuning of guants granting armor being lessened.

Just to clarify I didn’t usually struggle on ruthless I was one of the people who was having fun but I helped a lot of people who were struggling so I’m speaking for them too.
Not every game needs to be a “git good” type of game, that mindset ruins the fun aspect of games. If you want to play for the challenge and be a sweat then good for you but don’t ruin it for everyone else who just want to have fun.
if there are around 4,500,000 players and 10,000 are complaining about “ToO eAsY” guess what that’s the minority, even if 1,000,000 players were complaining about “ToO eAsY” that’s still the minority.

It sounds like your friends need work getting better to help you.
@@JebblesJunior my friends dont have as much time to put into getting good at the game as i do. i was in the same boat years ago. the only reason i have time to play and get good now is im a 24/7 caretaker to my disabled brother and mom. to much time on my hands waiting for medical emergencies and stuff. my friends work 60 to 80 hours a week. plus have families of there own. so their playtime is quite limited.
and people were complaining that half of classes (including sniper and heavy) are impossible to play as cus "not working in choesion i think this a proof that they wrong about it but its just being GOOD teamwork no matter class you play
REMOVE TIGHT FORMATION. You literally killed teamwork and the classes. Players can no longer play into their class and do what they are suppose to do. Now they have to hold hands and get blasted simultaneously by AOE damage. Find another mechanic to make the game harder or encourage players to have tighter formation, not force them.
Having played more, it comes down to don't suck and it's not that bad.
