    Over 75% of Native American culture, history was wiped out.
    We are a dying race and the first race here and no other race is forward to the fact about it. We have lost more than any other and every protest we have is never given light.

      Have you tried working with the black community on this, they are very inclusive I don’t think it’s in the benefit to be solo, theirs powers in numbers. I as a black woman support what you say but I never hear about what’s happening in your communities and I’m just curious if you try to reach out to black people as they are closest you will have to an ally that can understand

      @@leefelixsegg2666 Maybe they take it like for the people who say all life matters, it's like their life (the black ones) doesn't matter when you say another race matter, it's like you tell them your problems don't exist. We know that all races matter, yes the Native lives matters. But the BLM movement does awake a lot of people to the struggle of all people of color and I think it will help a lot of Natives as well. We must be present though to show our support and that we exist but not by saying Native lives matters and people thinking we are downplaying the Black cause. They are both important and once people have opened their mind to the Black community problems, it will have also opened their mind for a good part to the Native problems. Natives must be present there and people will then say: "Hey you lived things as well" and will notice us. The BLM movement is somehow the colored people movement but weirdly if you divide those categories now it will weaken the causes. But really we must be there and be noticed by other ways than by the slogan, maybe by our clothes or something.

    I'm a APACHE native from WHITE MOUNTAIN APACHE TRIBE in ARIZONA. My FATHER and MOTHER taught us to respect all colors, and don't laugh about them. Our Grandfather in the sky, created us all one. So we do say Brother's and Sister's to different colors. In my families flesh and blood, we got Apache, Navajo, Black, White, and Mexican's and get along. Here is my question to you my Jamaican brother. Do you stand with your black brothers from America? The reason why I ask is because you are a blood relative to black Americans who was here before everyone. In fact 300 thousand blacks was took from the Gold Coast of America- south and North Carolina. To Jamaica after the war by the English. Most Jamaican think the Gold Coast there from is Africa. It was America. Look at the splendor that these brothers had in America. There’s a picture showing the war that took place in America. It was no so called natives there tho. Just your black American brethren. That is if you can handle that.

    European colonization is the root of all racist ideology in the US. Manipulation had Black people (Buffalo soldiers) against Natives...Natives against Black people(5 Civilized). There are many Black Indians I know who had a hard time growing up in Native Nations and I knew Natives who went to predominantly Black schools in the DC area and moved after a year or so cause of how hard Black people were to them. We should be focusing, healing and working together. Black people fight super hard since slavery to now to get our voices heard. I am married to an Indigenous woman and I am
    learning the struggle of natives as an adult. Hell I didn’t even know Indigenous peoples of the Caribbean and East Coast were slaves until a few months ago. Keep fighting, no matter what. Black people and Natives are both owed a lot from the U.S government.

    I am a federally recognized Native American female. My tribe was the first to walk the trail of tears from Mississippi to Oklahoma in 1831. We lost many of our relatives during the deadly winter walk. One of the coldest winters of that time. I went to a gathering when my chief was visiting my area a few years ago. When the group that came with our chief walked into the room, I could feel my ancestors walking beside them. It was ominous. Even my husband could feel the spirits of my tribe within the space. We felt their joy and sadness. Today in their honor, I love all people and all natural things as much as I am able to love. My ancestors had a wisdom about life and how to live it with love. This is unknown to the Native Americans that went the civilized mans ways. Trees make me happy. A stream of water is beautiful to me. A bird brings me joy. I know that the only way to shift the unfairness and atrocities in this world is with compassion, understanding and love. I dream of the day, all people will live in harmony. It may not be in my life time as I am older. It would be a treat to witness brotherly and sisterly love throughout the world before I leave my body. Miracles do happen.
    Most of Native Americans (north & south) are now Christian or are floundering because they feel lost. Christianity does not resonate with me and I do not judge my brothers and sisters who choose this path. But for those that are floundering, I feel nature is their church. I do admit I love Jesus Christ deeply and appreciated his teachings to enlighten the human species. However, I choose to follow natural laws as my ancestors did which is what the Great Spirit encouraged to all of his people. The natives understood how to nurture nature and live cohesively with it. Now, I will share with you something that many of our native ancestors were unable to teach their children due to the white mans interference. They took the native children from their parents and taught them another language. They punished them if they spoke their native tongue. They taught them how to live the way of the white man and told them their culture was inferior and as a result, this killed their native culture. Due to the language barrier, this knowledge could not be passed onto to their children. In fact, many of these children became estranged from their parents. The missing part of our historic culture is that the natives of this planet had friends that lived inside the earth. They still exist, however I feel most of them have left due to the continued destruction of the planet. I send those who remain, my many thanks for their continual work to heal this planet and I feel them acknowledge me. They are known in the English language as Gnomes. And no, they do not look like the cone capped midgets our world depicts them as. They are much like you and me. You would probably never know you met one if you saw them in nature. Their job is to be stewards of planets and are responsible for all that grows be it on land or in the water. They nurture the air, the water, the earth, fire and the mineral kingdom. Our ancestors learned that a planet is a living being, hence Mother Earth. They learned how to take care of it and they did so along side the Gnomes. I do not care if you believe me or not. I only write this so that those who resonate with it, understand the importance of taking care of this world and that emotions and thoughts are very powerful. They can form into things good and bad. YOU ARE THE MASTER OF YOUR THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS take control of them. It is very important that we stay out of the negative and in the positive. My dear native brothers and sisters, this information is somewhere in your genetic history. Try to remember. There is more to this world than humans and I pray that harmony will be here soon. Be compassionate, kind and loving to all things. Including those who you feel may not deserve it. There's a saying and it is, "Great Spirit, help me never to judge another until I have walked in his moccasins". Being in a high vibrational frequency is what will help this planet heal and those who live on it. My native brothers and sisters, I empathize with the struggles that you may encounter. Let's look to a positive future. To all who wish to heal the earth and yourselves, no alcohol or drugs. Native American are destroyed by them. It is something I have witnessed time and again. Even in my own family. Eat as much fresh foods as possible. Give thanks to all those foods that gave their lives for your sustenance as our ancestors did. Stay in a healthy positive mindset. And if you acknowledge the Great Spirit as your your leader, pray to him letting him know this. I know he will surround you with his love as he loves his people very much. I once heard him cry for us. It was unsettling because I felt as helpless as he does. Our culture has forgotten him and he sees so many of his people struggling. I believe the Natives of this planet are vital to it's healing. And it will heal as you do. One of the ways is, we must stop living in the past. Unfortunately, the humans of this planet put too much attention on skin color/race. We are spirits living in bodies. Color/race doesn't matter. All spirit lives matter. Love matters, compassion matters, this earth matters, and so on. Let's do what our ancestors were taught and take care of our home. Learn what ever you can to help you achieve this mindset. There are a lot of techniques on the internet that you can research. The law of attraction is a great place to start.Teach those who are willing to participate. Invoke some of our native traditions that are energy lifting. Give thanks to the elements. When the winds become hateful, we must acknowledge their pain and anger to calm them. When the rains are needed, we lovingly acknowledge and ask the water spirits to bless us with their gifts. This is what we did. I once lived in Florida. When the winds would pickup , I would sing a sweet melody to them and I told them I am sorry and that I understand why they are angry. And I asked them to forgive us. Our air is filthy and they are angry with us because of it. Where I lived, we never experienced any destruction. I cannot say that for other areas in the state. In closing, question everything, including me. And if you find something that doesn't come from total love, then only retain that which is loving to you. Also, there is a great book that I think will help all peoples to understand natural law. It's called A Journey Into Nature. A Spiritual Adventure, by Michael Roads. Pan, who is a Gnome is written about in the book. Chi hollo li (Choctaw for I love you)!

Maybe a better way to say it is, federally recognized Native American. However, I realize there are many people in the North American continent that have Native American blood and are not acknowledged as so. I am not sure about your comment, wtf. Dc ThreeTwo I agree. When those of my family arrived at the destination, they were given a number. This number is handed down to all of my great great grandmothers offsprings. It wasn’t, enough that my tribes, families lost all of their processions and many died along the way. When they got to Oklahoma, If they declared 50% or more Indian blood, the white man could take control of their estate. Needless to say, the majority of the survivors did not declare their true percentage of Indian blood. Which means my family’s degree of blood is skewed. We have done a family tree and know our true degree of blood. Which is significantly more than what the government has recorded. And this I can say is true for all tribal members in North America.

      @keepitmoving I have to state that I know nothing for certain, and since there is no proof of this claim, we only have our beliefs. My personal belief is that it is not truth. I say this because I have been given knowledge that I trust and it supports a different history. I will also say that based on this knowledge, the Black race is NOT the original race of this planet. The original race was the Amazons (they were not black skinned people). However, from what I have been given, it's the North and South American Natives, that are the longest lived on the earth. Science is not precise and it does not account for our planets past history that is undocumented for millions of years. The big question is why do we have so many different races? How is this possible? I have my belief and it is out of this world in kind. I do feel very strongly that native cultures, be it the Aboriginals of Australia, the Black African Natives, Asian Natives or the North and South American Natives, all had one thing in common. They lived in loving harmony with nature because they were given profound knowledge and understood natural law. Their ancient lifestyles and traditions are rejected in today's world and a lot of these people feel lost with no purpose in life. There are no more ancestors to teach them what they need to know about their race and the truth of what they are, which in my opinion is equal to the Gnomes. Now, I want to ask you about what your thoughts are regarding our purpose as a human being. I believe it is to love and nurture our home (Earth) and continually, positively evolve while respecting all life form.

    • @brisbees3729
      @brisbees3729 4 роки тому +1

      @keepitmoving The cycle of life does need to keep moving and we all need to be responsible with the cycle. Meaning we should not over populate. Our planets resources are finite and we need to consider this in all things that we do. We want the future generations to be able to live well but not excessively. Taking more than the earth has to give will ultimately destroy our home. This is what our native ancestors knew and why they lived a simple life. I too am stumped with what the African Americans want to be called. After all, they are Americans. I have Irish blood in me. Does that make me an Irish Native American? No, I am an American. And so are my ancestors. I just happen to have Irish in my family because my Indian great grandmother married an Irishman. I understand the black races concerns and their struggle for their rights. The Native American culture is still struggling with the loss they have experienced. The fact is this world has known human trafficking for thousands of years. The Egyptians enslaved the Jews. The Vikings raided European villages and made lots of money selling people. Not to mention what happened to the North American Natives. And don't get me started on what Columbus did to the South American Natives. Columbus day should be outlawed. Lucky for me, two of my dearest friends are black skinned and have no desire to be a part of this Black Lives Matter movement. They are evolved enough to see that the power behind this is trying to divide us as a country.
      I ask you to see this as well, and to love all the American people no matter their differences. I wish that they could also see what I and my friends see. United we stand, divided we fall. As a country if we could accept each other for what we are and what we are not, we would be invincible and the power behind the separation tactic knows this. So always try to see between the lines, and you will see truth. Because we live in a world where truth is mixed with lie. And usually the lie is right smack dab in front of you. Never take what you read or hear at face value. You will start to see things as they truly are.

      Many Native Americans would B hypocrites if they hated the White man cuz many Native Americans are part White. There are more mixed-blood natives than there are full-bloods. From what I read, all A.A.'s have on average 10-24% European DNA. Floyd had a white woman as his girlfriend too.

      @Wyeil Arbukle I guess my point is that through me researching some things on my own, I found out that all black in America during that period were not captured in Africa and brought over here on slave ships. Some were already here, and were considered to be Indians. This is something that is not being taught in our schools.

    • @williewhite1161
      @williewhite1161 3 роки тому

      @Wyeil Arbukle I understand. But being called a native American is nothing to be offended about, no more than being called an African American. We had similar struggles during those days, which means we had a common enemy. I believe in concentrating on similarities are more important than concentrating on the differences, because that will make us stronger. Because as far as white supremacists are concerned, African Americans and Native Americans are the same. Minorities are stronger working together than trying to create yet another divide. As far as I am concerned, Native Americans are our brothers and sisters.

    I really appreciate and am motivated by this. This is what it looks and feels like to have allies and I hope we are able to build together. One thing I will say. The term "people of color" hurts both of our communities in the long run because it lumps us all in one category and also allows people to co-opt your lineage. Native Americans have endured and endure very specific struggles, have a very specific lineage, and have made very specific contributions to this stolen land that no immigrant community or even my community (American descendants of slavery) have a right to hold claim to. Just as Black American descendants of slavery have a very specific lineage/history, struggles, and contributions, and claim (reparations for slavery, mass incarceration, redlining, and Jim Crow) that no other group can lay claim to. I say this because my community has experienced first hand other "people of color" that migrate to this country, benefit from resources/programs/culture of ours while rejecting/discriminating against Black American descendants of slavery and aligning themselves with whiteness (i.e MANY Latinos that came into this country, over 50% identifying as white as one point when they migrated here, Asian business owners in our neighborhoods that discriminate against/follow us/unrightfully call the police on/attack/kill us or African immigrants who have a history of discriminating against our people while accessing many scholarships or programs created specifically for us). This is my first time actually hearing Native Americans use the term "people of color". Don't want your community to fall for the same allusion of inclusion that we fell for. Also, white women are now considered "minorities". Imagine that.lol

I took the time to read many of the posts, even though I didn't need to to feel the emotions. The indigenous people of north america indeed have suffered far more than any other race of people now living here. ALL life matters, and as soon as mankind in general realizes that fact, the world can be become better, but as long as ANY individual group deems itself superior to any other by reason of skin color, stature, religious belief, sexual orientation, or for that matter physical size, strength or perceived level of knowledge, the same violence and persecution that has gone on since the beginning of time will continue. My fear is that we won't learn to live together and our privilege to exist here will in time be revoked! I pray that all my find joy, peace and love in their lives

    I'm black and native American and seeing the changes, forward progression, eyes & ears and attention to the cruel and evil bigotry many of us of African ancestry have dealt with and still do. But it used to discourage me to feel like those of us who are of native American ancestry didn't have a voice akin to other mistreated ethnicities. It almost felt a little worse. Like we were like ghosts, not seen, not heard, not noticed much at all. I used to wrack my mind trying to think what me must do to be seen and heard as much as our other mistreated siblings of other ethnicities. I'm 29, my wife is also black and native American and we've known each other since we were 8, became teen parents at 15. And most ppl my wife &/or I share with others the bigotry and prejudice we've experienced, they're literally shocked that we went through that, and the things these wicked & heartless individuals have said to us. And have even done &/or said to us in front of our children. AND what they have said &/or done TO our children. Being mocked, disrespected, mistreated, heckled, harrassed, picked on/making us & our history the fodder for mean, insensitive, hurtful "jokes". The bopping on their mouth(s) while hollering-mocking Native American cries and calls. The "hi-how-are-ya" mocking chant. The littering or spitting in front of our feet and then mocking my wife &/or I saying, "Uh oh, whoopsy, I just littered on/spat on mother earth. Are you gonna cry, dances with wolves, Tanto, Pocahontas, Saca", or some other name they made up or took from a character in a movie, TV show, video game(s). But seeing this was encouraging in ways i can't even fully explain. We do need to work together and support one another bcz many of us are mixed race. And as the great prophet, Min. Brother, Malcolm X said during a speech/sermon one day, "A house divided can not stand and will fall in on itself.". I believe the union between us will help us see some change. And that's a beautiful

    When ''Native Americans'' start acknowledging the FACT of Black People being here WITH THEM before uropeans arrived, then all of these issues can begin to be resolved, and healed. But as long as ''lighter skinned'' Natives Americans continue perpetuating the white racist lies about themselves and ''darker skinned'' Natives not being Indigenous, then the neglect of Native Tribe concerns will continue. This is another example of why Black Life & History being respected and reaffirmed will benefit ALL PEOPLE ON THE PLANET.
