One of his lyrics in his song states he thought he saw death in the fields which is a bit of foreshadowing, and his dream where the cosmic owl appears and Jake dies in space with Banana Man. But Finn interferes in the real world . It’s going to happen when Finn isn’t around with Jake. Not to mention the other episodes where Jake literally dies but he was resurrected from the dead.
KichiroRC no he didn’t, if Jake wanted to die, then he would die earlier, also it may be either the artist being lazy on BMO or maybe because BMO emotions are glitched

I think Finn was out on an adventure (Jake would be too old at this rate like in the comic because in the show, he was in his 40s near the end of the show) and when Finn came back, Jake had already passed. It would also explain Finn’s trauma because he never got his closure with Jake before he passed.
Can’t remember the specific episode, but Jake told Finn one time that when he dies, his consciousness will become one with the universe, and his body would become a magnificent tree.
that's why in the comics jake soul is part of the universe with finn soul and that's why in the comics (again) jake body is part of planet earth and filled with trees
It's the episode where Banana man is introduced. He says something more along the lines that his body will become space dust and be everywhere while Glob tallies his deeds. "I'll be in your nose, in your socks, I'll be all around you!"
My theory is that Jake was earth in his past life and Finn was the comet because of their strong bond they would keep colliding. Finns second reincarnation was a butterfly (stated in the episode The Vault) and Jake was the bee (not stated in the series but in the intro it said "butterflies and bees" so maybe Jake is the bee, I dunno maybe because he keeps buzzing around Finn) and because of their strong bond that we yet to understand what is causing this, they kept meeting each other and staying together in all their past reincarnations(shoko and the tiger) alternate realities(farmworld finn) , and even in the future (shermy and Beth). In this ending Jake was able to repair himself which is the earth which goes back full circle. I dunno its just my theory though
Jake kinda gained more access to his abilities later in the series and the maze was before the show went in a different thematic direction. I couldn’t accept the idea of Jake not being ok with not being reincarnated at first (which SPOILER, he did decide to go with Finn at the end of the show. But now that I rewatch the show, I guess I’ve always just missed the signs throughout the show. The ones I can remember right now was that one time when Jake lost his powers and had a human body with an underwear, and he was ok with being magicless and more vulnerable to danger (which to be fair he was just a bit prideful but still). There was also that time when he had a dream about dying with a banana in space and saw it as a sign to bite the big bazooka. There might be more I can’t remember but it’s crazy it was always there.
I don’t really get why you think Fin would die before jake considering he’s a dog. Like yeah he’s a magical dog but look at how much older he is than fin in the show, and towards the end of the series he starts to show his age more by getting tired more easily than he would of at the beginning.
I know this video is a year old and obsidian hasn’t come out yet, but about Finns death in obsidian we see Finn has a tattoo of Jake with forgets me nots, so I think it’s safe to say that Finns is well and truly alive when Jake died.
@@mohamedlamin2968 i dont know i think he's a descendant of finn because beth is a descendant of jake so they both carry on the adventures whilst jake is dead and there are alot of finns around the world
someone's probably said it already, but that might not be jake's statue. in the next frame of that scene there's a broken gravestone named with the text carved in it: "FIN-" "JER-" It could be a statue of Jermaine, jake's brother. Maybe jake had statues of his brothers made at some point and maybe went on to live pretty long, since the people we see at the funeral are all people we know exist 1000 years later, bubblegum and marcie and bmo, including grown up sweetpea. idk. I had seen this originally and thought it was very wholesome tho.
If this made it into the final episode, it would probly be weird seeing one of the main character's dead body being dragged across the world, especially if it was an unexpected end of the episode
What makes me so sad is that you don't see any of his children at the funeral, only his further descendants. The pups aged so rapidly in the show but I was hoping at least most of them would outlive him. But this means Jake watched his brothers, girlfriend, and all of his children die before him... So sad!
In the intro of the series finale, there is a piece of rock beside the statues that reads “fin” and “Jer” I believe the statues were for Finn and Jermaine. It’s ab at the 10 second mark for anyone interested and I have a screenshot for those who miss it. It can be hard to pause so precisely x
I think he has already been used to this loss stuff i mean maybe at a certain point in time he finally learned that he will eventually outlive most of his friends so i think he is smiling because he is happy his friend is finally at peace
Theory: BMO killed Jake. When Jake’s Eyes closed, that was him blinking. When Jake fell, BMO had shot him a second before. He’s not sad about it. Why do you think BMO is smiling at the funeral at 1:37 While everyone else is crying.

After Watching AT: Together Again. Jake died first then Finn. That might just be an error in the chronological order of things. The sketch panel is an idea that have been thought of for Jakes’s death.
Fun fact: There is a book about Adventure Time in my library at school, and in the book, the hole isn’t filled up with Jake’s body, it’s filled up with a ton of sand. It also happens a lot earlier (if you want to know when, it was before Finn lost his arm,).
Jake has been an memorable character in Adventure Time and his death made the Earth whole again. He lived as a hero of Ooo and died as a hero. RIP Jake the Dog
I just finished adventure time. It feels sad to see the show I watched all the time as a kid finally end just like regular show. But yeah this is extremely wholesome.
Something that surprised abt "Together again " was that Jake died before Finn. But I already knew this info so I thought wait wasn't it the other way around? Still nice special.
Wait a minute I just thought of something. You guys remember when Finn was in the space he was told he was immortal? And that he could die and come back to life again but as a different being? And not remember the stuff he used to do in his past life. Well there were theories that Jake could do the same because we saw 3 comets. One of them was the Lich. 2nd Was Finn. The 3rd one was orange just like Jake so it could mean that it was Jake. So if that's true that means Jake aint Gone!!!! He is still with Finn but he just isn't the same Jake.
yeah i think everyone reincarnation but finn is suppose to be a major player every time he is reincarnated so thats probs why he can remember his past lives and stuff like he is important lol

Yeah Finn and Jake are pretty much the same age, but Jake is older in dog years
I know this video is a year old and obsidian hasn’t come out yet, but about Finns death in obsidian we see Finn has a tattoo of Jake with forgets me nots, so I think it’s safe to say that Finns is well and truly alive when Jake died.
i think finn ended up like his mother put his essence in a computer and their were a bunch of finns
That would be cool
I don't now, if you think about Shermy you see his like a version of Finn sow he could be Finn reincarnation
@@mohamedlamin2968 i dont know i think he's a descendant of finn because beth is a descendant of jake so they both carry on the adventures whilst jake is dead and there are alot of finns around the world
@@bigbosssmiling7135 How? His a cat/lemur/.....cat? but not a human
@@mohamedlamin2968 it's been years and years and years and years im pretty sure people can have ALIENS as descendants at THAT point
someone's probably said it already, but that might not be jake's statue. in the next frame of that scene there's a broken gravestone named with the text carved in it:
"FIN-"
"JER-"
It could be a statue of Jermaine, jake's brother.
1:36 Why the hell is BMO smiling didn’t his friend just die
*died
I think he has already been used to this loss stuff i mean maybe at a certain point in time he finally learned that he will eventually outlive most of his friends so i think he is smiling because he is happy his friend is finally at peace
I mean, BMO smiles at the oddest stuff
If you saw the finale, bmo forgets about finn and jake
@@salvationminecraft6330 no he still remembers them and all of there many adventures together although he forgot finn's name he stil remembers jake's
Theory:
BMO killed Jake.
When Jake’s Eyes closed, that was him blinking. When Jake fell, BMO had shot him a second before.
He’s not sad about it. Why do you think BMO is smiling at the funeral at 1:37
While everyone else is crying.
He's crying on the inside
Doodle the poodle
Wouldn’t he be messed up tho?

I'm never gonna get over adventure time
Am i the only one who thinks The Missing Link doesn’t really care?
I dont know why but when a cartoon ends it just gets daunting
*Every hero leaves a legacy*
Rest in peace Jake from the future
he is like a dad yet uncle, like a younger brother yet older brother, childish yet so wise. and also he is a friend. totally 'best' friend
Still sad but adventure time will always be one of favorite shows
This kinda reminds me of that junji ito story " hallucinations" when this boy kills his friend and his body at the end keeps growing
Whose death is more depressing? - 😥
a.) Jake 😢
b.) Pops 😰
c.) BOTH!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
We didn’t see a canon Jake death so Pops
D. None of the above
They both died in great ways
(Even if one saved the universe and the other fixed a glorified hole)
BMO smiling not knowing whats going. Imagine how sad he'd be when he realizes hes dead
Yeah ! Thats kinda sad
After Watching AT: Together Again. Jake died first then Finn. That might just be an error in the chronological order of things. The sketch panel is an idea that have been thought of for Jakes’s death.
My tear senserintator is beeping maybe I should stop watching this video 😢😢
Use my tear remover inator!

Leave this video, and never come back. You,ll be good and forget it over time
This headcannon fits so well with the weird and sweet nature of the show, I 100% buy it.
That's why Jakes in the 50th dimension he's on nirvana.
Lets just forget that labyrinth episode where we find out the Jake has a stretch limit...
That was from before we found out he was part alien.
Knowing Jake he would probably have loved it
I just finished adventure time. It feels sad to see the show I watched all the time as a kid finally end just like regular show. But yeah this is extremely wholesome.
Could not go out any better
Something that surprised abt "Together again " was that Jake died before Finn. But I already knew this info so I thought wait wasn't it the other way around? Still nice special.
I love this ending. Knowing he is part of the world makes me so happy 😭
A man’s best friend may they endlessly adventure towards even further than our plain of existence
May they join the next link and help the next hero get what they need
Wait a minute I just thought of something. You guys remember when Finn was in the space he was told he was immortal? And that he could die and come back to life again but as a different being? And not remember the stuff he used to do in his past life. Well there were theories that Jake could do the same because we saw 3 comets. One of them was the Lich. 2nd Was Finn. The 3rd one was orange just like Jake so it could mean that it was Jake. So if that's true that means Jake aint Gone!!!! He is still with Finn but he just isn't the same Jake.
Thats called reincarnation bruh.
yeah i think everyone reincarnation but finn is suppose to be a major player every time he is reincarnated so thats probs why he can remember his past lives and stuff like he is important lol
@@vincent2915 yeah sorry I forgot.
@@shmango2518
Now I want to see an episode of Finn's new life starting to remember himself since 1000 years ago and decide to find the Finn's sword which would cause Shermy to meet him.
@@LazyAndFabulous agreed
I needed another episode this is good
This ending is very beautiful and pays respect to a very beloved character.
That’s pretty dark...To see jake j-j-just cover up the rest of the earth and see how grass and life is over him ;-; life is fucked up man.
Nathaniel Gilson the grass and life IS HIM he contributed to the earth in a big way, his meaningful life still stays there after he dies... its not that dark at all, is beautiful
(Not including the rotting corpse but whatever)
Why did you add j-j-j to one word lmao?
Ik it would’ve been funny ;)
Remember that one ep when he said about death....he wanted to contribute to nature.....
Agreed like i dont like that part
who's here after watching obsidian?
Fin is alive
Press “F” to pay respects
i would change nothing. finn and jake have left there mark on ooo, and jake's death filling that crater makes perfect sense. its the end of an era, and even in death finn and jake are still helping people. yes, its sad, but I feel jake would be ok with what happens to his body.
