    Doing slow solves is important, but a common question is "how slow should I turn?" If you always turn the same speed your improvement plateaus, if you turn slow enough where it's still challenging, you'll be able to turn faster and still look ahead.

      Slow enough so you can do look ahead, but fast enough that it's still a challenge...

    This channel seems really good! Underated. For that, im gonna mark my cubing journey here. Will continue to edit it every 3-7 days. Averaging 22 rn
    Edit 2 days after: Averaging around 21
    Edit 3 days after: got ao50 of 20.9, even though this seems pretty early im gonna start look ahead. Not gonna be really going into it, just learning more efficient f2l solutions
    Edit 7 days after: Averaging 18, got a 17.79 ao12, did 25 solves the mean was around 18.7
    Edit 2 weeks after: averaging around 18-17.5 right now, can easily get a 17.5 ao12 and got a 18.10 ao30
    Edit 3 weeks after: yo i average 16.9 ish niw
    Edit 2 months after: i average 14
    Edit 5 months after: I average 11 (edit of edit: this was kinda a lie i avged 12)

    you do not need look ahead to be sub 15 just be more efficient with learning f2l algs and full oll pll and sub 15 is pretty easy

    • @Matt-er
      @Matt-er  7 місяців тому +5

      i presume you are past the point of sub 15 right, once you get a lot faster say sub 12 to 10 or even faster you can get like 13 or 14s with 0 lookahead just spamming tps, but its way harder when you werent past that point

    Man, that very first solve felt no faster than my 20s solves. Messes with my head. And I can do all my algs blindfolded and look around the cube while I'm doing any alg. I just don't see things very well.

    • @Matt-er
      @Matt-er  Рік тому

      yeah if ur not sub 20 its usually because you are not finding pieces fast enough

    • @spacevspitch4028
      @spacevspitch4028 Рік тому

      @@Matt-er Yeah, I get sub-20 solves routinely every session, just not consistently. PB is 12.67.
      It'd be cool if timers had a distribution graph that laid out the percentage of solves at each second. Like, my global average across 22,000 solves now on Twisty Timer is 22.94 but that doesn't really give an impression of all the sub-20 solves I get. Like what percentage is 13s? 14s? 15s? I want all the stats!
