@@timdavis3532 7”3 medium heavy is a good chatterbait, trap and all around rod. The cranking rod is a little lighter and special for cranking. I also have a 7”3 heavy that I use for jigs, skipping docks and frogs
@@breadman8053 it just depends what I want the bait to do. I have some medium wire hooks that I use when I’m fishing shallow and a little heavier hooks that I use when fishing a little deeper
It would be cool if you or any pro would come fish my local lake here in NC it's small, shallow only a few deeper spots and there are biggunss but getting a bite is tough. Their really smart.

@WheelerFishing When would you use that Clack n Rap, which has the lower tone and is supposed to bring em up fron deep water, sound travels further and the fact it would add a variation from what the Bass are accustomed to.

A California technique requires a California price range, 150 retail is not too bad at all, it’s when the flippers tax you triple the retail that’s when it can get expensive, and you always gotta have a couple of back ups one bait is not gonna get it done and you gotta have the gear etc, got to make a decision on just how important catching a fish of a lifetime is to you

@@LucasBassFishing I use a 6”10 medium/ light mostly for lighter heads. 7 ft medium for a heavier head 3/8, 1/2 etc

@ since the freeloader weighs more I typically throw that 2.0 signature series 7”0 medium spinning rod for that bait and a little bigger
