The Circus light show is among my favorite scenes in any animated film, not only because of how beautiful it is but because of the fact that it COMES OUT OF NOWHERE
Dubios is literally one of the most simple villains DreamWorks has ever created. She has no tragic backstory, no ulterior motives, no sinister plot to take over the world. All she wanted was _”ze līon”_ yet she still managed to make an impact and have a place in our memories because of how terrifying and how much of a bada$$ she was. 💀💀
I swear, Captain Chantel DuBois is one of the most hilarious DreamWorks vilains ever created. And a total badass that never gives up. Entertaining and intimidating.
I believe there are records from Ancient Rome where they put tigers and lions fight each other and tigers usually came up on top. Although the records are very scarce meaning such fights were extremely rare.
I do wonder where they got that number from. Don't think it was ever said in the first movie, but in the second one they seem to be around the same age as kids? And Marty being 10 in the first movie it just doesn't add up.
I find it hilarious that, thanks to Dreamworks making _Kung Fu Panda 4_ , _Madagascar_ of all things is now their only film series that actually has a satisfying ending.

The whole time I kinda just thought that Hiccup's mom got off way to easily for basically abandoning her child and husband to fuck around with Dragons. And the other Riders were basically sidelined into obscurity for the whole movie. Now, the TV series between 1 & 2 on the other hand... were absolute peak. Good use of characters, good worldbuilding, an exceedingly great villain, memorable arcs, the whole shebang. Penguins of Madagascar was also a great series, but unlike that show, these shows actually had over-arching plot lines, and they pulled them off really well, IMHO.
Madagascar 3 has always been my personal favorite in the trilogy. And the Fireworks circus show is genuinely in my top 5 favorite scenes in an animated movie.

I just love the full circle at the very end of this movie when Dubois and her team were sent to Madagascar in boxes the same way of the first movie. Just perfect.
Dude, I was fricking 7 when I saw this film on theaters, and like what other said, the Katy Parry circus scene really resonated with me. It's like my third eye had open from this movie or something.
I was literally in tears the first time I watched it cinema. It was my first movie theater experience (plus 3d) so it was something completely new to me as a kid. The whole Madagascar 3 still gives me warm feelings, even if there are imperfections in this film, it is still my favorite part of Madagascar.

When I was 6-7, I started religiously watching this movie. I’ve seen this movie more than I’ve watched Puss and Boots; The Last Wish, meaning probably 30-40 times if not more in my entire lifespan. This movie made a grave impact on how I acted as a kid. It gave me strange mannerisms and personality traits that I adapted into myself as I watched it. These traits, were so significant, that they have genuinely impacted the way I am today and how I currently act. This movie changed my life and made me who I am. I’ve watched it so many times because, it’s a masterpiece really. Best movie of all time.

one thing that stuck out to me when I first saw this movie is that, the people at the new York zoo are talking about the French lady finding and returning Alex. the whole reason the first movie happened is that the zoo was trying to release them all into the wild, so like they didn't loose him they actively got rid of him.

Whatever you think about the Madagascar trilogy (quadrilogy if you're including the Penguins of Madagascar), you can't deny Hans Zimmer nailed the score for all the films. He added layers to the main theme, improving upon 1 & 2. Then there's the banger: Monte Carlo Chase, making an already awesome chase scene even better.
