This week I am batch cooking some hearty, creamy and rich fall soups and stews! This time of year there is nothing I love more than a big bowl of warm soup, a piece of cornbread and a chilly fall evening around a fire!
I wanted to share a few (no way I could fit all) of my favorite fall soups and stews! So I decided on three to share this week- and Lord willing in the future I can share more of my favorites! They are; Homemade Beef Stew- Sausage Cheddar Potato Soup- Rich and Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup!!!
I share my personal tips on how to get a thick and creamy soup that is filling and satisfying to even the heartiest of appetites (aka my Husbands).
I hope y'all enjoy and go make some of these soups and stews for your own families!!!

Oh, wow! These recipes look amazing! I buy chickens from local farms, and I'm now beating myself up for not saving the broth. Lesson learned!
    Have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you! 😊 they are hearty soups and stews- that are filling and warm! Great for this time of year. Yes- definitely save your broth- I’m sure the quality of it would be better too- since you get your chickens from local farms! I had to learn that same lesson several years ago 😄

I have never thought about making the rou in another cast iron skillet to add. I always make the cornstarch mixture unless a rou is in the recipe. I do prefer creamy soups and stews. Those all looked so good. Tonight I’m making chicken and sourdough dumplings. It’s cloudy and cooler. We live in south Georgia and it doesn’t get really cold until January. It’s cooler and we will have cold fronts come through but no snow or freezing temps for weeks. Where do you get your dresses from? They are so cute.

I use to always do the cornstarch and water/ but now when I want it to really thicken it up I add in a rou- it makes a big difference 💕 I love thicker soups and stews too- I’m not big on thinner ones- unless im gonna add dumplings or something to kinda thicken it :)
That sounds absolutely amazing- I’ve never tried sourdough dumplings!!! I’m glad it’s a bit cloudy to give you that fall feel- we are in KY, we are having some cooler temps move in but it still fluctuates quite a bit. South Georgia is beautiful though 😍
Honestly I get a lot of them from FB sales- people ridding their closets- then I shop Goodwill-ROSS/TJ Max lol 😂 I’m a frugal wardrobe person. Thank you for your kind words 💕
