    Perfect diagnostic I enjoyed your video and it's educational too, we can see what water in it's solid form could cause to engine, 👍

    Cool to see the amp clamp being used to see the compression issue.

    Just done one of these on a 2014 fiesta van 172000 miles. There are 15 needles in each bearing. It runs mint 👍

    Sandy you probably sussed it by now your cranking relative compression test was spot on ,compression on no1 ,low on 4 and naff all on 2&3 , froze water pump , where did the anti freeze coolant go ?🤔

    Hi, frozen water pump, due to no antifreeze, jumped timing
    And 100 percent these engines when timing fails, they spin the lobes on the cams. Done 4 last year with timing fails. But every one had spun the lobes on cam , no bent valves.

    What saved the engine was the fact is broke on cranking over and didn't start when it was froze solid, Good save though Sandy. weren't you worried that you managed to get all the broken bits out before tuning the key after the fix?

      You’ve got a bad injector, blank it off with a ball bearing and see if car starts

    That's a 1.6 not a 1.5 ;)

    • @gabrielpefcik570
      @gabrielpefcik570 Рік тому

      It's similar to 1.6 but it's 1.5 have look where is the trotle body on 1.6 and where is on 1.5 and different fuel filter too,😮 after all these guys are adept professionals, aren't they.

      @@gabrielpefcik570 I'm a highly trained and certified Peugeot Master technician heading my department of Peugeot mechanics, trust me - I know the difference between a 1.6 and a 1.5 HDi. Also 1.5HDi only released in 2017 and this car is 2015, 2 YEARS before 1.5HDi. Also valve cover clearly shows a single cam whilst 1.5 is DOHC. Cmon man....

      No objection about your qualifications but check your facts, yes it's 1.5l SOHC Duratorq TDCi engine engine codes XWDA, XWDB, XEDC, XWDD, XXDA, XXDB and XXDC made by PSA for Ford, Capacity 1499cc, Bore 73.5mm, Stroke 88.3mm, engine codes XXDA and XXDC 70kW (95 PS), XXDB 77kW (105PS), XWDA, XWDB, XWDC, and XWDD 88kW (120 PS) and so on from Haynes Owner Workshop manual October 2014 to 2018 (64 to 18 reg) Petrol & Diesel, Models covered Petrol 1.0l (998 cc) 3-cyl and 1.6l (1596cc) 4-cyl
      Diesel: 1.5l (1499cc) & 1.6l (1560cc)
      and by the way it's happened I personally own Ford Focus 2015 reg. 1.5l Duratorq TDCi Estate 177 000mls on clock, leaking oil a bit but very fine reliable French engine, have nice weekend pal

      @@gabrielpefcik570 So I read about it a bit more. To be honest - I said I'm a Peugeot Master mechanic - not a Ford one ;)
      Peugeot don't have the 8v 1.5HDi in their cars, only 16V. The 8v 1.5L is a Ford only variant I learned.
      So if this was under the hood of a Peugeot it could only have been a DV6, but since it's a Ford it can also be a DV5 and the 2015 MY had first the DV6 then later in the year got the updated DV5 so 2015 could technically have either engine depending on when it was manufacturered according to the Wiki, but in this case the throttle body position gives it away as a DV5 as you said.
      Sorry for my arrogorance, in this case you were right and thank you for teaching me something new!
