2 tabs is a lot, if it was 1 it would be 1/2 of those readings. But the pump turns on and it just flies by. I do perfer the floater over inline chlorinator
Enjoyed your video, even subscribed 😊. I suspect normally you wouldn't use these tablets in the pool since you have a swg? I have the same setup. I only use liquid chlorine or sometimes cal hypo if combined chlorine gets above 0.5 or so and that only happens once or twice a year. Love the dog btw..thanks! 😊
I mostly use the saltwater system and add liquid when it's low. I use the duck off season as a supplement because I tend to forget to add liquid. Thanks for subscribing - I have a couple of fun videos planned. The dog is always next to me - I think she is made of velcro
@@cleanpoolsd The pipes are PVC. A chlorinator is PVC. Most equipment is PVC. If a chlorinator isn't damaged, seriously doubt anything else will be. Potentially pump seals if anything. Filter o-rings maybe too but by the time the water gets from the skimmer to the equipment it will be diluted and momentary.
@@kirkwilson5905 Inline chlorinators are usually installed after the filter and heater - do you think a high concentration of chlorine could affect filter cartridges or increase corrosion of the heater?
@cleanpoolsd pump seals, filter component o rings. Possibly heat exchanger. But really by the time a few gallons of water makes it that far, the ph is going to average with the rest of the water. Oh and possibly valve seals although I think those are silicone.

Wow is that Tierrasanta? I live there!!
PQ - Very close! Stay dry until pool season

A couple of gallons of low PH water in a skimmer isn't going to change the pool PH.
I think folks are mostly concerned about the pH running through the pipes and equipment
