Apparently a girl who shared a house with Eckhart in England many years ago described living with Eckhart to living in a float tank, I'm not sure if it was meant to be a compliment 😊 I heard Eckhart talk about it in one of hie videos called "can we trust our intuition" such a funny clip and possibly my all time favourite one.

@@davekirsch8121 hi Dave, I loved the bit where the girl changes her mind about leaving and Eckhart asks " but what about your feeling" and the girl replied " oh I have a different feeling now" 😊. So funny but equally such a brilliant lesson that has stayed with me ever since I first watched it. Eckhart really does have a fantastic talent for making learning fun as well as very helpful 👍👍👍👍
Eckhart is such a humble guy and his wisdom has helped me immensely.
Eckhart has helped me to understand my mind and be less troubled by it and I am very grateful to him for that help.
It's made a huge difference to my peace happiness and being able to enjoy life so much more again like I used to before I started struggling mentally.

Not only are Eckhart's teachings life-changing, but I really like him as a person and feel similar to him in a lot of ways. Introvert, loving to be anonymous in public and observe, love the night and quiet. It seems rare that a person who produces good works is also a good person. But he is, you can just feel it in his voice and presence, it brings instant calm.
One word...."Humble".
I think that you are, Eckert, a true manifestation of a spirit guide for humanity! 💞

What a true authentic teacher you are Ekhart... I had an experience that resembles near death a year ago, right about when I started reading your books & listening to your videos.
Bufu Alvarius ( or the sonora desert toad venum) taught me in 20 minutes, I think what you have been trying to share with all of us about consciousness 🙏
The big lesson I learned is that Life is a temporary experience of what it is to be an individual!
He's still my favorite non-duality teacher, even though he doesn't call it that.
@Brad Stephen..true few months after reading the Power of Now ,I had this experience of suddenly being conscious of the witnessing part in me after following the present moment awareness practises mentioned in the book( mainly listening to the external sounds)..
Present moment awareness leads one into one's self in an organic manner.
Even when speaking about his own daily life he shares so much wisdom with us.
Love this man 😀! His presence and speech brings me a lot of peace, and in this video, lots of smiles .

Just this little bit of video helped with current personal dilemma I've been experiencing. I laugh at myself as I expect or even lament at changes I am facing as I do "what must be done". The simplicity itself would absolve it. What was liberating for me was when he described how in order to do a certain thing, this other thing is compromised or changed.
I recently watched his video that explained what our suffering if from::: he taught that our NARRATIVE OR COMMENTARY IS THE CAUSE,,NOT THE SITUATION!! THAT BLEW ME AWAY!! HOW TRUE 👍👍👍

Amazing way to explain a complicated subject. You lose some by gaining some. As you climb up the corporate ladder for example, you gain influence, more experience and money, you can have more impact. But at the same time you depend on the work of more people so you lose individuality, you have more responsibility and with that more problems (and less sleep). That's something I've been going through and this video gives me peace of mind. That's how life is, just let it go. Thanks Eckhart!

I too have same inclination on being alone and observing things sitting in one quite place. But I think there must be balance between engagement and dis engagement with people. Over dose of any thing or even state is also bad 🤔👍🙏
That depends on the individual, everyone's balance is different.
@@dianeyoung8068 I didn't mean that we should socialise with everyone. Close friends and family is enough to connect with to create that balance. Isolation for too long is harmful for human beings as we are social animals. There is a need of connection in us.
@@priyakaramchandani1415 True. There is a danger however, of looking at another person and judging whether they should be doing more of this or that according to our own standards and needs. Everyone has their individual balance when it comes to connections with other humans.

ORDINARY lives are NORMAL.What has happened to the World is that people think that their life is worthless if they are not doing something INCREDABLE.Just getting through each day is an amazing thing.We do many things during a day that we don't classify as IMPORTANT..but if we did't do them we would not survive.We need to re-arrange our way of looking at our lives and the World around us.
